The leak was fixed and I was up and running in less than an hour.
Description of Work: I had a leak in the line just after the well water tank. I called and they gave me a time frame. This time two technicians came, fixed the leak and cleaned up. The price was actually less than I had expected.

I wasn't happy with the installation but the service people were fine. The check was free and the serviceman was excellent.
Description of Work: They put in a new heater/ air conditioner for me. They sent someone to do a one year check on the heating and air conditioning.

It didn't go well. They advertised that they put the booties on. They did it going from my door to the basement, but didn't do it going across my basement or to the bathroom. They tracked stuff in. I told them not to put the new air conditioner on the slab that the old air conditioner was on, because it was crooked and they did it anyways. They put stones around the bottom of it when they done and threw the bags in my bushes. They needed a shovel to spread it out, I had one in a flower pot. It was frozen in it, so when they pulled it out they broke the flower pot. They left pieces of copper laying outside. They gave me a website to write a review, so I did a review and no one has called me. Even though they were cheaper, it was still expensive. They did a good job installing the system, they just made a mess. They always come on time.

The service person was supposed to check both the heating and air conditioning. He said that he could only do the heating. He didn't go into as much detail as the other one did. It was free.

They inspected and Added some refrigerant and gave a lengthy estimate+ quote of few thousand to fix that. Alternatively they pitched for a new heat pump.

They were good. The guy was nice. He was fast, he was great because it was a holiday weekend it was thanksgiving weekend and he came on the day either the morning of thanksgiving or the day before when I couldn't get anybody else to come and I was having a big thanksgiving thing at my house so it was really good he came.

Very poor. Technician came in and immediately "diagnosed" my furnace as needing in excess of $3000 in repairs and, of course, since this was an excessive amount we had a new system quoted. After obtaining the quote, I paid another local company to send a tech out to check out my system. While he said we'd have to replace it eventually due to age, it was not necessary to be done immediately. And though I had scheduled their sales person to give me a quote, they asked whether I still wanted to do that given the tech's findings (I did, and their price was considerably lower than Horizon's). Beware of being scared into getting work done that you don't need. In addition, after the sales person leaves you, they have a sales closer who will call you constantly. And then after you tell the closer why you're not interested, then they have Customer Relations call you. It's nothing short of harassment.

Very expensive, and really pushy about making a sale that day. I got 3 quotes (HGH $6,000, BGE $10,000, and Horizon $12,000 ) They weren't just the highest price, but I he also talked way over my head. After we did much investigation on the systems and my wife has some knowledge in HVAC systems, we realized that they were showing us a bigger system than we needed for our house.

The people were nice enough. I don't think they did a very good service and all they really wanted to do was sell me more services. They were trying to sell anything that I don't need. They were very responsive. Their punctuality was good.

They didn't what they said they would do. They charged me $200. My interaction with them was fine. They didn't do what they were supposed to do. If they were going to sell some service, you should perform the service. The price was fine. They were on time.

Scheduled 3 weeks out and they gave me a 4-hour window. I took the morning off of work for this. Technician came in, looked at my 10-year-old Buderus boiler and said "We don't service these." Seriously? If there are brands they don't service, why don't they clarify when making the appointment instead of wasting everyone's time, including theirs? Called to speak with a manager, but no one was available to take my call. Total waste of time and would never hire them again.

I actual bought my furnace though them and it was on a ten year and I had to have that yearly agreement with them in order to keep the warranty in a second it just went out of warranty this year. I didn't have any problems with them.

I know the price before they came even though it's my mistake I should have checked for some loose connection but I think that's the normal price that goes out for any other company coming out for a simple visit so. Excellent.

First an AC technician came out to my house on the same day I called. It turned out that it was a line clog that required a plumber's attention. Fortunately Horizon also has plumbers, so they were able to help me schedule a transfer of the issue from the AC team to the plumbing team and still solve the issue the same day. When Steven Stone showed up early that evening he was very friendly, helpful, and effective with his service. He troubleshooted the issue quickly, was able to unclog the line, and then inspected the exterior of my unit with me in the rain. It turned out that the drain outside the house was buried under dirt due to the cumulative effect of the landscapers in my association. He helped me dig everything out despite the inclement weather. Great job all around.
Description of Work: My air conditioner condensate line was backing up and flooding my utility room on a weekend. I chose Horizon because I know they're a big, reputable company and was pleased to find out that they have weekend hours and that they don't charge a premium for weekend service. That sealed the deal since my wife, toddler and little baby were all very uncomfortable without functional AC on a 90 degree day.

according to all of their ads, they are available 24/7 so when my air went out this morning ( saturday) i called . i was told they could not come out until tomorrow.. when i asked about why they couldn't come today, even though their technician said they would come right out, i was told they were too busy. Lucky for me, a better company was available.
Description of Work: i called for an A/C repair based on what their technician told me the last time they came to repair it. i have an intermittent problem where sometimes myy auto- on doesn't work and i need to flip the circuit breakers to get myt AC to work. every time they came to repair it, they couldn't find the cause . the last time they were here they said to call as soon as the issue happened and they would come out to investigate.

BUYER ALERT - THE (OUTRAGEOUS) PRICE OF LAZINESS!!! I just paid $258 for a job that I could have done for myself for about $12. Not sure if I'm more angry at my own laziness or the price gouging. I'll deal with my laziness, but here's some info for others before they use Horizon to do a simple repair you could DIY (plenty of easy instructions on YouTube) or hire a handyman at a much lower cost. Here's the breakdown: $50 to show up at my door, $290 just for the job (remember the part cost $12 - if they used the deluxe model; $8 if not the deluxe). Quick math = $340. Fortunately I get member discount ($44) and I had a coupon for $37, so I got $81 knocked off. Without discount and coupon, it would have cost $340. With no exaggeration, the job took maybe 10 mins, which included a half dozen practice flushes. Remember, the work is priced as a job, not by the hour or number of techs. The show-up cost of $50 is debatable. $290 to do 10 mins of low tech work is ridiculous. Btw, I called on Tues and first appt wasn't until Thurs - not what I would call responsive service since they're advertised at the largest plumbing/HVAC guys in the area. And, as advertised, the guys were prompt showing up, friendly, knowledgable, and quick (I think it took him longer to write up the invoice than do the job). Final word: DO NOT USE THESE GUYS FOR SIMPLE REPAIRS and, if you have a large job, be sure to get more than one estimate. They're good but waaaaaaaayyyyy overpriced.
