Description of Work: Fair, honest pricing, show up on time, do good work and clean up after their done. Becoming a " service partner" is a good deal. I would recommend it. I have had two different HVAC service people at my home and felt comfortable with them. A very solid and reliable service company.

Description of Work: The ads are misleading. I had to call 3 times to get an appointment. The answering service was professional but not reliable since the 1st 2 calls did not result in an appointment. On my 3rd call, I spoke to a rep who scheduled a service call 2 days out. I expected better service and a more timely appointment. Luckily, I found a great site on the web by googling HVAC Troubleshooting and tracked my issue to a faulty condensate pump, fixed the problem myself and cancelled the service.

Description of Work: Horizon came out for our yearly a/c maintenance and technician found problem with heater motor. He gave several options, and we scheduled an appointment with sales advisor. Sales person arrived a couple of days later and we decided best option was replacement. Two days after that system was installed. Overall 5 days from diagnosis to installation!! Installation technicians were terrific and took care in not scratching hardwood floors and walls. We have lived in several different areas and have dealt with numerous HVAC companies. Horizon is not the cheapest company , however you can always rely on their service people to be knowledgeable, punctual and leave the project area clean Overall, I would highly reccomend this company to anyone.

Description of Work: A leak in the bathroom sink faucet needed to be repaired, but when the technician looked at the setup, he saw that the shut off valves were also seized up. Replaced faucet with new one. Put in new shut off valves, replaced the u-shaped drain pipe with plastic pipe, and put in a new pop-up to match the chrome of the new faucet. The technician was capable, respectful, clean, and efficient. The job looks good and it is warranted for two years. Horizon arranged the repair the same day I called. That is all good. The only thing that bothered me was the price. For $1212.00 I could have purchased a moderately nice new washer and dryer. This is the second time plumbers have taken me to the cleaners. What is it with plumbing repair costs? How is it that someone can manufacture, ship, and sell two appliances like a washer and dryer, but to replace some pipes and a faucet, it costs $1200?

Description of Work: Horizon representitive was very neat and professional. Their price to replace a 20 year old gas water heater was about $ 200 more than another firm. We used K B plumbing, Camden DE. It is a small firm and their work quality was very good and the price was less than Horizon offewr.

Description of Work: To protect my finished basement from water damage, I had a new, commercial grade electric sump pump installed. The original pump, while still functional was the builder installed one and was approximately 8 years old. Additionally, I had the latest sump pump installed that relies on neither electric or battery power. Being away from home for long periods of time, I wanted the assurance that my basement was protected in the event the power was lost and a battery powered model lost its charge. While expensive, it gives me peace of mind under any weather condition. I also use Horizon for the HVAC maintenance. They are not inexpensive, but extremely reliable. I have a protection plan that puts me at the front of the line if heater or a/c needs repair.

Description of Work: Cleaned blocked toilet. Originally said price covered any drain. Then charged extra becuase of distance to street. Upon dispute, the immediately offered to refund the difference. No major complaints

Description of Work: A/C wouldn't run. Bill came out and found that the transformer inside the furnace had shorted out and burnt. He replaced this and found the short in the A/C unit. He was here for about two hours. He did recommend an upgrade to a more efficient hybrid heatpump to work with our oil furnace.
