Description of Work: I am continually impressed with the expertise of Horizon technicians. The current service was the annual maintenance of my central air conditioning system. I have used Horizon for replacement of several major systems as well as routine maintenance, all flawless. It is somewhat difficult to not be on time with a four hour window.

Description of Work: I came back from vacation to find that I had no hot water. I called Horizon. I have a contract with them and need to have the servicing done on the heater and AC. Unfortunately, I needed to cancel because of vacation, etc. Anyway, they lit the pilot light which had gone out. This was not covered by my maintenance agreement. Perhaps, if I had the maintenance service done when originally scheduled; the pilot would not have gone out. The serviceman was polite and professional. It did not take him long to re-light the pilot light.

The technician PUSHED hard for a service contract and bargained a lower price on the unit if we went with the high end service contract. | |The technician had "booties" on to protect my carpet but had a rusty old hand truck to cart out the old heater and bring in the new one. The hand truck left my carpets a mess and he was unapologetic for making a mess. He also flooded a section of my basement when draining the old heater instead of snaking the hose into the french drain. Very disappointed! Found out later that I paid about $500 too much for the hot water heater.

Description of Work: Looked at my boiler and recommended several things to replace / fix. I got a second opinion and they said I did nt need to replace a couple of items and 2 others could be done for a lot cheaper. I therefore couldn't trust them going forward.

Description of Work: They installed an entirely new heater and AC with many modifications and metal fabrication to accommodate a humidifier. They ran new pipes for the high efficiency heater and all new lines for the AC. they also installed a new chimney liner. The job was perfect, I cannot find one fault with the job. It's actually beautiful looking.

Description of Work: Horizon performed an AC tune up. I have a contract with them for preventative maintenance on my AC and heating system.

Description of Work: High pressure sales. I only wanted an estimate but the salesman said the only way he could give me that price is if I installed the whole thing in less than 24 hours. When I said I couldn't commit to that he looked at me like I was an idiot. He quoted me prices 10k more than other places. It was really terrible.

Description of Work: I've used Horizon several times 9 for heater, A/C and plumbing. The service people are very knowledgeable and courteous. My only complaint was that the were unable to give me a same or next day appt last winter when my heat went out.

Description of Work: A technician came for our annual winter furnace/air conditioner maintenance. The technician spent a lot of time with us answering questions, and he was very helpful and kind.

Description of Work: The salesman was a little "pushy", but Horizon had the best price of those who gave us an estimate for converting from oil to gas, and Horizon was the only provider who offered no interest financing. The workers showed up exactly has the salesman promised. They were careful about covering their work shoes so that no dirt was tracked in the living area. The heater was what was promised, and installed very well (one of the other people who gave us an estimate was a friend and he told us that it was an excellent install job). Even the workers who installed the chimney liner and who removed the old oil tank were very careful to respect our house, and cleaned up after themselves. Because of spring arriving, we have not needed to use the new heater but for a few days. Hopefully, when we need to put the heat on in the fall, it will be working fine. The heater and chimney liner were installed in one day. The oil tank was removed the next day, had to be inspected by the local inspector, and was hauled away the next day. We had an issue with one of the thermostats, but we called the salesperson and a technician was sent the day after we called to show us how it is operated. All in all, we were very pleased with everything.

Description of Work: Very professional service and responsive to questions and installation of new system

Description of Work: The HVAC specialist checked the heat and AC functions and then cleaned the outside unit using his own solution and hose that he brought with him. Never having been done before as part of a service call, he explained it's done only in warmer weather. He also installed the UV light air purifier I had requested in the air duct to help fight mold. All the time I was standing behind him asking questions and commenting. He was very responsive to my inquiries and even reminded me of the web coupon I could use. I was impressed.

Description of Work: They performed a A/C maintenance, and recharged the refrigerant. They also provide a list of what other parts needed attention.

Description of Work: They put in a new toilet, I have used Horizon many times and will use them again even though they are a little expensive.

Description of Work: Our heating/cooling unit outside froze over during the winter months due to a faulty sensor. Due to Horizon not thoroughly evaluating the situation, this problem took 3 visits to resolve. Thankfully, the unit was still under warranty.

Description of Work: We discovered a wet spot on our ceiling. Horizon responded withing time frame given by scheduler. It turns out one of our upstairs toilets was leaking. Horizon offered 2 options - rebuild the toilet or replace it. Since it was 25 years old, we replaced it. They had the toilet on the truck and completed work the same day. They are a little expensive, but they are neat and professional. We used them for our furnace replacement a few years ago and also for an emergency sump pump replacement during the last hurricane. Their service is always good.

Description of Work: HEATGER NOT COMING ON. REPLACED PART CHECKED THE HEATER TO SEE IF EVERYTHING ELSE WAS RUNNING WELL. NO PROBLEM SINCE IT WAS FIXED.
