+ -1 moreIt shut completely resulting in lots of ice built it, I had enough and told them so. They then ordered new sliders for the freezer. So far so good! Before hand they kept instructing me on how to open the freezer or how to stock the freezer or how NOT to stock the freezer. They did try but I am glad someone finally took the initiative to order new parts.

+ -1 moreExcellent service. Parts were expensive but no more than anyone else would have charged. It's nice to get good service for a change. I'll be buying a new freezer for the basement soon and will return to Highway Appliance for the purchase because of the level of service I received on the repair. They seem like good people to me.
Description of Work: My Whirlpool refrigerator stopped working and leaked all over my floor after only 18 months. of use. Whirlpool and their recommended service company promised to come the next day and canceled the appt. at 4 p.m. the planned day of service! I contacted 2 other companies who would not come for another week, but when I called Highway Appliance at 6 p.m., they were very understanding and said their schedule was full but would try to schedule a technician the next day. They called me at 8 a.m. the following morning to say their technician could be at my house at 1 p.m. He arrived on time, had all tools and replacement parts required, and even cleaned out the refrigerator and freezer and wiped all water from the floor that was left under the fridge. He was polite, professional and quickly repaired the refrigerator (new control board). After he was finished he left the replaced part and all instructions for the new board and advised that if it did not fix the problem, they would return at no charge to finish the repairs.
