Thomas Hennelly Plastering

Tom did the work and did an excellent job. He was professional and courteous on the job appraisal and spoke as if he cared deeply for craftsmanship and the process of plastering. He did a great job and in a timely manner. He carries on the tradition of his late father and should be proud of the Hennelly tradition. My grandfather was a plasterer and I know he would commend Tom for his work.

Project went well. The gentlemen were humorous, quick, and punctual.

Tom and his brother came first thing this morning (as planned), tarped and covered everything, and were done in about 2.5 hours. Not only did they take care of what I asked, but they even fixed one other section in the kitchen ceiling, as well. Once they finished, they cleaned everything back up behind them. Did a great job with everything and were very professional. The price was the same quoted (even with the extra small patch). I would definitely hire them again.

Used Angie's list to find 3 local A rated contractors. Obtained 3 estimates and chose Hennelly and Sons. Their estimate was significantly lower than the others and the estimator was able to give me a date the next week when the job could be completed. The crew arrived promptly on the agreed upon date, completed the plaster repair job and cleaned up nicely in a timely fashion. The overall quality of the work was excellent. The plasterers completed the job perfectly and also took the time to level a section of wall which had bowed as the 60 yr. old chimney settled and did some cosmetic touchup of a different section of the ceiling. Overall, I highly recommend including this company when gathering estimates for plaster repair work.

The work was fine; it is extremely difficult to get Tom on the phone and he does not use email. The effort we had to expend to coordinate with him is the main reason we would not use Hennelly again.

I had made an appointment for this service to perform some plaster work. They never showed at the appointed time and called two weeks later. During that follow up call, they agreed to stop by to look at the work and provide and estimate. In advance, they agreed to call so make sure someone would be home (wouldn't commit to an appointment time) and I've never heard from them again. This was 4 months ago at this point and I am now having to go elsewhere.

I contacted Hennelly and they were able to come out quickly for a plaster quote. Most contractors wanted to replace the ceiling with drywall, but we want to keep the integrity of the home. It was much more reasonable than other quotes we had received for the plaster work, and they were very friendly and experienced. He was able to give me a verbal and written quote within a few days. I mentioned that I would be out of town, and he called me so we could schedule the work as soon as I returned. They did exactly what they promised over two days. They worked hard and professionally, and cleaned up everything very well. I would call them again if we needed additional plaster work in our home.

My experience with T.P. Hennelly and Sons was great. They arrived when expected, worked diligently, cleaned up and the result was excellent. I increased the scope from what was originally quoted and the extra charges were fair. In addition, I got to meet three generations of craftsman and they were a pleasure to work with.

Both men were very knowledgeable of the type of walls. Recoginized old, quality workmanship. Retained old workmanship. Let me know what needed to be done and not done.

The Owner , his Sons and Grandson showed up on schedule everyday and gave me a solid days work everyday from start to finish. they removed all of their debris from the jobsite @ the end of the job. The work was of high quality and with no call backs for re-work. Being in the Remodeling business, Its hard to find people like this that have good work ethic.

Hennelly came out and took a look at the ceiling and was able to give me an immediate estimate and said he could take care of it right away. He did exactly what he promised and it came out great. They even cleaned up after themselves. It is refreshing to have a company promise something and follow through with it. Highly recommended!!

It took a couple weeks for us to coordinate a time for Mr. Hennelly to come out a give us the quote. However, we gave him the go-ahead to do the work on a Friday, and he called on Monday saying they could come they next day to complete the job! They were able to do the entire job in less than a day. Mr. Hennelly's two sons did the work, and they did a fantastic job. They moved everything (carefully!) that needed to be moved out of the way, and they covered our entire living room, even the mantle over the fireplace, with plastic and drapes to minimize dust. Overall, we were very impressed with the level of service and the quality of the job was great. Once we repaint the ceiling (which they recommended we wait several weeks to do, so that the plaster is completely hard) you will never be able to tell where the hole was.

I wish every contractor I ever had to deal with was a professional, honest and nice as grandfather, sons and grandson were to me. I would use them again without hesitation. They gave me some good pointers about everything I asked them about.

There were large clumps of plaster left here and there that we had to sand flat. It seemed like one of the workers was a beginner as they were training him as they were doing the work. There were a lot of trowel marks left and quite a few of the spots were missed all together. The owner did come back out right away to fix the problems that I complained about.

My call was returned by Thomas Sr. right away, and he came out to see the wall that afternoon. He gave an estimate of $150 for the work, and sent his son Dennis out to do it the next morning. Dennis arrived right on time at 8am. He put down cloths and got right to work. He finished up by 10:00 or so, and used my vacuum to clean up the small amount of dust. He did a great job, and gave me advice on painting the freshly plastered wall. I was really happy with his work. It was a smaller job, but one I couldn't manage myself. The wall looks great; better than it did even before the damage!

Responded quickly for an estimate. Finished before Christmas. Had to be called back to fill in some cracks that were missed. I think they did okay, but my husband thinks the job was a bit sloppy, i.e., left excess plaster that will have to be sanded off before painting,.

This was one of the best contractor experiences I have had. Mr. Hennelly arrived, looked over the job and gave me a price. I told him that I really needed the job done quickly and correctly as I was about to sell my house and didn't want to leave a problem for the new owners. Two business days later, Mr. Hennelly's son arrived and patched my wall so well that it is indistinguishable from the non-damaged sections. This guy really knew his work! I have had estimates of four times as much to fix the wall with drywall, so I was very impressed. I can't say enough good things about this company.

STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, HARD-WORKING TEAM. WOULD USE AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT.

OVERALL THIS FAMILY KNOWS THEIR PLASTER AND I REALLY LIKED THEM AND WOULD BRING THEM BACK FOR ANY PLASTER JOB IN MY HOUSE. EXCELLENT OVERALL!
