I have utilized Freedoms Painters a few times in the past for entire home repaint. Always quality work. When I saw that Jeremy had been engaged for carpentry projects, I didn't hesitate to reach out and schedule, wish I could have worked with him earlier to complete this project. Could not have gone any better. He provided honest, straight forward recommendations and options followed by quality work. Freedom will be my first call for all future carpentry work!

It was a pleasure working with Justice and, Dan, Jeremy and Ernest. They are all very professional, nice and knowledgeable. You can tell that they are all good people. They did not make a mess. The job was completed in a few days and done so well that the outside of my house looks brand new. I intend to use Freedom Painters again for the interior in the near future. They are the best!

I have been using Freedom painters for several years. They do excellent work and everyone is professional, courteous, and on time. I recently moved and, having done such great work at my old house, I hired them to paint both the inside and outside of my new home. I had some time constraints and they made it happen. There are also now offering carpentry services, so I took advantage of that to replace pull out baskets in a closet with shelving. As I need other things along those lines, I won't hesitate to use them again.

From the very beginning Freedom painters were professional and reliable, Justice can right away to give an estimate and the work was performed on time and by skilled painters. I have had so many compliments on my house. I would recommend Freedom Painters to anyone. Hire with confidence. Thank you for a job well done. My only problem is that now I don't want to sell my house. I go out just to come back and see it.

I've had a lot of bad experiences with painters, so I was a little nervous going into the job, especially because Freedom Painters' bid came in much lower than the rest. But I really liked and trusted Justice, the owner, from the start, so I went ahead and hired him. When I met with him in the summer, Justice gave me a September start date. And that's when the job started. The company used premium paints from Ben Moore. The guys were all quiet and courteous, and easy to have around. They were very neat with their work, and cleaned up nicely at the end of each day. The job itself went much faster than I thought. And when it turned out that some of the work in the estimate was not necessary, Justice brought it to my attention and deducted it from the bill without my asking. Not long after the work was done, my dog ended up eating an interior door. When I asked if they could come back to repair it, justice scheduled it in right away, and gave me a good price on that as well. All in all, I couldn't have been happier. The house looks great. And It's great to know that I have finally found a painting company that I can trust and afford.

I received quotes from three contractor and decided to go with them after reading all the reviews. I am glad that I made the right decision. The team came in around 9am in the morning and left at 4pm. They worked really hard. At the end all the job was done and the house looked so nice. I ma very happy about their work and will definitely hire them again in the future.

We contracted with Freedom Painters in October 2016. Justice had come out earlier to discuss how his company focuses on quality and prep which is the foundation for a lasting, quality paint job. He also promised that he could paint/repair our wood shutters and they would look great for "years to come". His crew did not start on date promised, and when they did show up, it was a random employee or two- I mentioned to Justice that the painters were not sanding/prepping surfaces, just painting over as is- and he said that he would monitor quality more closely, and send someone along with any solo painter so would not be working alone and would be supervised. That previously solo painter fell on our slate roof, breaking several slates. Soon thereafter, he did not come back, due to sprain from fall, and I understand he quit. We would then not have anyone coming, or coming one day or two days a week- Justice said he was having problems with employees quitting, and not finding qualified replacements. We then started having random painters appearing at the house, that Justice was meeting for the first time on our job. One of those painters fell into our azalea bush and crushed it- and tied it up to hide the damage. Work was sporadic, and quality was poor. Shutters were removed from the house and not marked- so next painter will have to spend time trying to figure out which windows the shutters go to (we have 30 shutters). Shutters have been left in our garage all winter without primer- some scrapped and sanded, some completely untouched. We also have exterior windows that have been scrapped and not primed/painted and left to the elements last winter- Justice also claimed two coats of paint were put on some of the windows, when I was told by the painters when they had to stop due to weather in December that only primer and one coat had been put on. No caulking was done before painting- no washing surfaces, no sanding-- paint is failing all over the areas that received any paint- we have gaping cracks in window frames were filler shrank- paint is chipping and peeling- and was chipping and peeling when I walked around the house with Justice in the spring. When I brought it to his attention, Justice replied it's an older house. No-- you didn't prep properly, and your paint job failed after less than 6 months!!! Justice also complained about how much work was needed to finish the job -- complaining that he needed time to see his family, and that amount of work left to be done was "unfair" somehow. Justice promised in December when I paid him (way too much of the contract price-) that we would be first on the schedule in Spring 2017 to finish the job. We have still not been scheduled- and Justice's last reply to my email asking for status update regarding scheduling was that he continued to have employee problems, too much work and not enough quality employees, and there was no change -- he would let me know. That was a June 29 email. Now he does not answer my emails (since Aug. 2nd), and apparently has no intention of finishing our job.
Description of Work: We contracted with Freedom Painters for exterior painting our our house including wooden shutters. Contract provided Freedom Painters would prep, power wash, scrape loose paint, sand, fill hoes, caulk, oil prime bare wood, remove shutters, protect surfaces, and clean up. Contract provided for prep and paint two coats on all cutters, windows, doors, trim, garage door, stucco ceilings on three porches, black metal handrail, basement window grates, all wood surfaces. The paint included in the price was Ben Moore "Ben" exterior paint. The contract was not performed. Work was begun in October, and immediately there were problems with staffing our job. Workers had quit, new workers were showing up to our home that were meeting Justice Weingart (owner of Freedom Painters) for the first time at our house. We had a worker fall on our slate roof and brake slates, we had another worker fall into our shrubs and break a large azalea (that was tied up to look like it was not broken- this spring we discovered the damage as the azalea was dead and brown- and had white string holding the broken part of bush upright). The surfaces were never washed before painting, sanding was not done on the exterior trim, there is paint failure with chipping and cracking. We have cracks and gaps in windows ledges- and completely untouched areas of the house that were to be painted. In addition, we replaced several windows that should have been taken out of the estimate-- Justice came to the house in the Spring to see which windows- and never provided an updated estimate. We now have to find another painter to come and finish the job- at a great cost, as they cannot use Freedom's prep work, since it was so poor, and we were told you can only put so many layers of paint on the house. I have sent emails and called- Justice has not responded other than to say he continues to have too much work and not enough employees. I regret paying so much on our contract-- as he clearly does not intend to honor his obligation to deliver the product/quality he promised, and finish our job.

An unusual situation gone bad. The job was started too late in the season for us to finish and it was agreed we would come back to finish in the spring. They liked our work enough to pay us for what we had done. Freedom Painters decided not to continue working for these clients after we met in the spring. The customer falsely accused us saying we had not done work that we had completed. I'm proud of the work my company did for this person. It was quite good and had we finished, would have been a beautiful and long lasting paint job like the work we have done for the many hundreds of customers in our area.

Not very satisfied that I was charged $600 for pretty much 3/4ths of what was agreed upon. If had not mentioned that the drywall that had water spots need to be replaced they would have just done half of what was originally agreed upon.

Sorry for your frustration. We were very specific with what we were going to do with a detailed written and at what price. You hired us to do it and we did it well. The price stayed the same and you paid in full at the end without saying anything negative. I reached out upon hearing of there dissatisfaction to try to make it right by them but did not get a response. We value communication and feel we provide an excellent value for our work and professionalism.

The bedroom walls were covered in a couple of layers of old wallpaper and were in very bad condition. The walls were repaired beautifully and the walls and trim were painted perfectly. The old radiator was painted as well. There is a very old window in that room where the paint was literally peeling off; a very neat job was done to scrape off the old paint and repaint it. Justice was able to fit this job in - in a very short timeframe. The painters were always punctual and very neat, cleaning up after themselves. This is the second time we have used Freedom - the last time was for a much larger job and the work was excellent then too. I would recommend (and have recommended them to my friends - and would definitely use them again in the future.

The painting in the small rooms was fine, with a little touch up needed. They fixed a small hole that we made hanging something up on the wall after the painting was finished. However, the radiator painting didn't go as well. We had to have someone return 2 times to do final touch up. Their cleanup wasn't good, even though we emphasized the importance of that at the beginning. They were using a new spray painter for the radiators, which I found out after they were finished, which left a thin film of white paint on most surfaces throughout the house. The owner was responsive to our concerns, but wasn't there each day to check on the progress, as he stated he would be, which might have avoided the spray of the paint going all over. I asked for some money toward cleaning, and he agreed. But even our cleaners couldn't easily get up the thin film of paint everywhere. It requires serious scrubbing.

We contacted Justice who set us up with an appointment for an estimate. He quoted us a fair price. We set a date for the work to begin. The workers arrived on time and began the prep work including wall repair. They were neat and detailed. They finished in about 4 days. Each day they arrived on time and worked a full day from 8:00am to 4:00pm. In addition to painting the downstairs area, they also painted the stairwell and did a ceiling repair in one of our bedrooms that had water damage. Clean up was top notch. Extremely professional company that we will recommended to friends and family.

Excellent in every way. Freedom Painters does great work but in addition, they were very respectful of the contents of my home as well as my schedule. I have hired a lot of different tradesmen recently for my fixer upper. I have had most good, one terrible experience. Freedom Painters was a terrific find for me. Found them on Angie's List!
Description of Work: Freedom Painters painted nearly every room in my house. In addition to the fact that Jose did a beautiful job on the painting itself, Justice checked in frequently and was always gracious and happy to accommodate my requests. his painter made several passes at my young daughter. He also left food outside & then put it in my trash so i had maggots!!! did not leave me the leftover (very expensive) paint. then, the paint failed on one of my pillars. i called multiple times & finally he came out to look at it and gouged out huge pieces from the bottom of the pillar!!!! (no doubt that he had to use a tool to gouge out that much, that it was intentional, b/c he was angry at having to come). then promised me he would cover it as by now it was january and a snowstorm was coming. he didn't come. the day b4 the blizzard i called him again and he came & nailed a piece of wood which didn't cover the hole. He had said that he'd measured it and would put a nice thin covering over it which wouldn't be noticeable. I had to wrap the bottom of the pillar with plastic wrap. wound up having to pay to have the entire pillar replaced in the spring(by someone else, of course)

I'm sorry but the paint did not fail. We were called a year after we did the work. This customer had a small amount of wood rot due to improper installation of a porch post. This happens when unprimed, non pressure treated wood is in contact with cement. We tried to explain this but obviously it has fallen on deaf ears. We do background checks on our employees and always leave the leftover paint. We also keep the colors you pick in our database in case you ever need it. We continue to hold repect for our customers and there property in the highest regard.

After removing the ceiling tile in our kitchen, we found a very damaged ceiling which was not ready to paint. We needed a professional to help with the job. We called several companies from Angie's list and decided to go with Freedom Painters. Justice and his crew were extremely professional from start to finish. They repaired the damage ceiling, plastered the entire ceiling with 2 skim coats, and then painted the ceiling with the paint we had selected. We are so happy with the finished results!

Freedom Painters were efficient, responsive, and pleasant to work with. They gave us a good price, started on time and consistently came when they said they would. The members of the team got a lot done every day and were respectful. The owner of the company, Justice, is friendly, knowledgeable and listened carefully to what we wanted, following through. We ended up with a quality paint job and the house looks great. Starting off, Freedom Painters gently power-washed our ancient stucco, then applied a primer and two layers of paint. We had some deteriorating stucco in certain parts of the house and the Benjamin Moore Elastomeric paint used by Freedom Painters covered cracks and sanding areas nicely. Before painting, the team repaired spot areas of stucco as needed, and rebuilt a window sill for subsequent painting that required some careful carpentry. One side of our garage had lots of deterioration, and the team fixed those stucco areas before painting also, along with power washing it. (That side had initially been missed, but Justice made sure that it was taken care of.) At the end of every day, the team picked up conscientiously and put ladders and equipment out of the way. They were respectful and did not play their radios too loudly. After the job was done, I asked Justice to send someone back from his team to do some extra clean-up in a couple of areas that were missed, which he did and oversaw.
