They did a great job.

They were on time and very professional.

I am shocked and appalled with the service we received from Home Advisor and James McFarland at BEAR SERVICE. He showed up on the correct day but not the correct time. He took the ice maker half way out, said we needed a new one. He has one in stock and will come back to install it by the end of the week. That was almost 3 weeks ago. He never called or showed up. When I called Home Advisor, you said you would have him call me. That was Monday. Today is Thursday and he still has not called us. He requested a payment of $328.76. I paid him the full amount. I am going out of town this weekend for 3 months. I never would have hired him if I thought he was unreliable or could not fix the refrigerator before we left town. I am not happy about 4 things; 1 - his not showing up on time (minor problem) 2 - not returning to fix the refrigerator when he said he would. (major problem) 3 - not calling to explain his lack of activity (major problem) 4 - fraudulently accepting money for lack of service Very major problem) I will make a complaint to the BBB about Bear Service and Home Advisor. If James McFarlane does not arrive here and fix the ice maker, on or before Jan 27. I request an immediate refund of the full amount. ( $328.76 )

James was spectacular Very prompt in responding and servicing the problem. Quoted price up front, and more than fair. I would call this exceptional service and will definitely call them again when I need an appliance repair.

The initial diagnostic appointment efficiently identified the problems; parts were ordered and once they arrived were installed with professional care and courtesy at a fair price. If you ever are confronted with appliance repair, that's the way you want it to go!

The service tech was very polite and did a great job.

They came out and fixed issue we had with outdoor lights. I liked the technician and he seemed knowledgeable. I also asked for an estimate about other electrical issues we needed to be addressed. They did not follow up despite several emails/calls about the estimate. Really disappointed! I thought we had found a good electrician we could count on, I guess not. The icing on the cake is that the repair we spent $275 on in October has since reoccurred. So I wasted money and time with this company :(

THE HEATING ELEMENT IN MY OVEN CAUGHT ON FIRE. AFTER I EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE, I FILLED OUT THE HOME ADVISOR FORM. BEAR SERVICE RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY AND HAD A REPRESENTATIVE AT MY HOME EARLY THE NEXT MORNING. ; THE STOVE WAS 20 YEARS OLD AND I DECIDED NOT TO REPAIR IT--BEAR SERVICES REPAIRED THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET AND MADE IT SAFE AND READY FOR A NEW STOVE. A FINE ORGANIZATION.

After 3 visits by technicians, it was concluded that the major microwave parts(magnetron, diode, cap) would need to be replaced. At first visit in August, the technician made an incorrect diagnosis which involved us paying for unneeded parts. This was discovered at the 2nd visit when the solution did not work. Bear sent their top technician in a 3rd visit and he made the final diagnosis. This led us to purchase a new unit. However, to date we have not had a refund, though I have contacted their Customer Service about 3 times to request it. Its always "going to be issued" by the end of the week, or something. Giovanni, the telephone rep, seems earnest but can't seem to get any action from accounting. Not my problem. Oh, I also asked for a quote for the installation of the new unit, which was promised, but never received. All in all, it doesn't seem Bear has their act together.

Came out in a timely manner and got everything taken care of.
