Jason and crew were professional and courteous from start to finish. Protection of surfaces and isolation of work area thorough as was job clean up. The electrical work performed was executed with minimal cuts and patching. The painting prep and finish top quality. Work was performed within time estimated.

I honestly couldn't be more pleased with the work done by Jason. The job included not only replacing exposed cast iron pipes in the basement but also accessing some of the pipes in multiple locations through out the house. After contacting strictly a plumbing company and told ALL our cast iron pipes needed to be replaced at a very, shall we say large dollar amount, my husband and I began to look for second opinions. Jason started with a very thorough tour of our plumbing problem and provided very honest feedback. He ensured nothing but the best work and that's what he delivered. From start to finish, the job went soooo much quicker than I had anticipated (less than 7 days of intrusions to our home) and that included tear down, replace piping, put back together and mud/repaint the access spots!! I was even impressed with how clean and mindful Jason and his men were to the house. Hands down would hire Jason again and again. AS a matter of fact, during the plumbing job, Jason brought to our attention the poor quality of insulation in our attic. As a first time home buyer this past summer, I shamefully admit, I never paid close attention. But upon inspection of said "insulation" in the attic, it consisted of literal newspaper/book pages. Clearly not up to snuff. A couple weeks later Jason was back at the house for project number 2!! And a project even quicker than the first. A whopping 2 whole days. Day 1 consisted of cleaning the attic out and removing all old material and day 2 consisted of blowing all new insulation in! Proud to report it looks like a winter wonderland of insulation now in our attic. Not to mention we got it done just in time for winter. What a money saver!!

Jason is wonderful to work with. He is creative and will offer suggestions. As with any project with unforeseen happened. Jason just didn’t do a patch job. He started over and did the work correctly. He is the quintessential perfectionist. He is relentless when it comes to getting things done correctly. Additionally separate from the project, my toilet overflowed the Saturday before Christmas and he came by to unclog my toilet. In addition Jason painted my ceiling. Perfect per me- the perfectionist. am delighted with the finished result. You will not regret hiring Jason. He is intelligent and though. I will defiantly be contact Jason for future projects.

Both jobs were performed extremely well and to my complete satisfaction. Jason took great care to protect all surfaces, communicated the plan of work in detail ahead of time so we knew what to expect, and was very reasonably priced. Finally, you pay for what you get, and the water filter system was installed perfectly, including drilling a clean hole through our granite countertop for the independent faucet fixture. The laundry sink looks great and Jason made several trips to the plumbing depot for new parts needed to properly install the S-trap, as the hardware that came with the sink was not sufficient. He is a perfectionist and it shows in the quality and professional finish of the work. He also cleaned up meticulously after completing both jobs, and we already have plans for requesting additional work involving installing new light fixtures in several bedrooms. I highly recommend him!

It went well. Jason performed the variety of small jobs described above, within the expected timeframe. He did a quality job. For example, originally, we had him insert a piece of baseboard that had been missing behind built in furniture. Afterward, it wasn't straight, so he told us that he was going to remove all the baseboard on the wall and replace it with a new longer piece so it would look correct. In the end, we were pleased with his work and would use him again for other small projects.

Jason was very friendly, helpful and conscientious. He and his laborer were professional, and cleaned up well after the job was done. He took pictures in the attic to show the work that was done so I wouldn’t have to climb up there.

Arrived late more than once. Promised to fix what the previous contractor ruined. The faucet is not flush with the tub, I pray that the ton of caulking he placed there to “seal” it holds so that water doesn’t get in there and drip to my ceiling. there is a crack in the corner of the drywall repair, the handle for the water isn’t flush. Left the area picked up but not clean, I will have to scrape the splatter left behind. The previous contractor cut through a few of my load bearing wall studs. This I wanted corrected. This was not corrected. I expressed my concern over the previous contractor cutting through the floor joists also due to the sloppy work that was done in other areas. JMG stated, I can’t take the tub out to check. This to me was unacceptable. He used his phone, and attempted to take a picture of under the tub. This I felt wasn’t ensuring a safe installation of the bathtub. I felt like I was promised the world and that wasn’t delivered. I am now out $1500 and still do not have a properly fixed bathtub. *ammended. JMG did return to address most of the issues I had. The faucet was fixed. It is still not totally flush, but is much better, I can keep it caulked. Also the plate behind the handle is placed better. The whole in the corner was also fixed. JMG has been much more pleasant to work with and accommodating.

Great. Jason was one of the few contractors interested in my small job. Very neat and respectful. He is a perfectionist and very tidy. He will respect your home. He even put up a dust collection system for a messy demolition so it wouldn’t leave a cloud of dust everywhere

I contacted JMG and requested a quote. Jason Greenwald, the owner, responded and I liked his professionalism immediately. He came to the house and inspected the situation which is really a very tight and, in my opinion, a rather difficult configuration because of the way in which the basement had been previously remodeled. I was under a lot of stress because the project had been delayed when the delivery of the original appliances was aborted when it was discovered that there was no capped gas line behind the electric range that had been in the house when I bought it. Through some misunderstanding, I thought it was there but never pulled the stove away from the wall to actually look for myself -- a word to the wise. Regardless, Jason provided a detailed, written estimate and, once I was able to re-order the appliance -- the original ones were no longer available -- he and his associate arrived on a rainy Tuesday afternoon and in just a few hours had everything up and ready for the arrival of the new appliances. With regard to the broken dryer line, he repaired and replaced the line for me with the kit that I had purchased at Lowe's at no charge. I would not hesitate to contact his firm for any other contracting work of this type in the future.

Dead on arrival. Not sure how this is at the top of the Handymen on Angie's List. Called a few times and wasn't able to leave a message. No callbacks. On to the next!

Perhaps I caught him on a bad day?! When he was almost 30 minutes late, I reached him by phone and was told that he had EMAILED me to tell me he was late ....at 20 minutes late. I was mansplained to about my project and various aspects of my home which were irrelevant to my flooring quote. He was so negative about my flooring project (other licensed flooring specialists well rated on Angie's List have NOT expressed such negativity) and other aspects of my home that I asked him not to send me a quote.

Jason finished a half bath in our basement this summer. Overall, we really like the job his had delivered. His responses were quick, and estimate were made with a lot of detail based on his experience and expertise. In addition, he and his crew did great preparation to cover all of hardwood floor and carpet, and after project completed, most of spaces are quite clean and tide. He not only finished the project but repaired a few things for us. We had a great experience and would highly recommend him.

We hired Jason and his crew to repair some water damaged plywood subflooring. They repaired the floor, drywall, and also remedied the problem so water wouldn't damage it again in the future and also did some floor leveling while here. They were great! Very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Will definitely hire again in the future.

Overall Jason and his crew did really good job for our bathroom at basement. I likes his detailed proposal, professional insight, careful preparation and completing project in time. We didn’t have to worry about too much during the whole project as they covered the carpet and hardwood, cleaned up all of trash after completion. So far, everything works well. We will recommend Jason for other customers.

Jason was great! He understood the job and took the time to ask what our needs were. He then proceeded to get the work done in a professional manner while explaining the process step-by-step. All around, couldn't be happier.

Overall, I was very impressed with the professionalism and work done by JMG Builders. It took us a few weeks to get the estimate and work coordinated, but JMG was responsive to our timeline needs and kept in touch throughout the process. The work was done efficiently and we have two working outdoor faucets that no longer drip/drain water.

Arrived on time. Used quality materiels. Did an excellent job. Left the place clean. Very happy with the results.

Things went very well. From the time I contacted him via Angie’s List, Jason was always responsive and prompt. He provided an estimate, then we reworked the scope a bit and then he provided another estimate, followed by a contract. He provided a dumpster for the job, which he encouraged me to use for whatever I needed. His assistance here was awesome, and I was able to purge a lot. As for the deck: it is just beautiful. One of Jason’s associates is a very talented carpenter, and very detail oriented. It needs to weather for about 8 months and then can be finished. I am sure it will be even more amazing then, and be preserved. I should add that there were several things another contractor had started and never finished that were not right, slapdash, or just not up to code. Jason removed all that and did the job right. He and his crew created something really impressive. I had some other items that Jason and crew also completed as they worked on the deck, which removed the need for me to hire someone else to complete them. They work on a variety of things. If you need something done, ask him for an estimate on adding them to your scope. I am beyond happy with how this project went, from start to finish.

Jason did an excellent job. We had a mysterious leak, visible on the ceiling of our kitchen, including some mold. It could have been rain water, an upstairs toilet, or an upstairs shower or bathtub. He came by personally to review the problem. With a repair like this, there's the visible work that could be estimated, and the unknown based on where the leak was coming from. (Being in software development, I get this kind of problem.) Beyond the repair related to the water damage, we also arranged for him to paint additional ceilings at the same time. Jason provided a written description and estimate of the work he would do in detail, with a reasonable caveat that depended on what was found once the ceiling was opened. His estimate of the total time it would take was appropriate, he arranged a mutually good time to do the work, he and his assistants showed up on time, they put up all kinds of protective barriers to contain the dust and paint, they moved the furniture and put it back where it was when done, they put down drop cloths to protect the wooden floors from the scaffolding, and they cleaned up after themselves each day, and at the end of the project. Jason also showed me where another contractor had done a sub-optimal job that caused the leak in the first place and explained what should have been done. Jason reviewed the work of his assistants and ensured that it met his own high standards of professionalism. He also did a few extra things that were not in the original scope of work (touching up paint on the vertical walls). He also brought warm, fresh bagles one day--they were awesome. As promised by him, you can't tell there was ever a problem and he stayed within the budget we worked out. It was so good, my wife created a new list of things for JMG to do for future projects. I've had good and not-so-good contractors work on my house over the past 20 years. JMG is on my list of good ones.

Jason was able to hang a difficult chandelier with ease. The project took two days due to the Issues with parts and the placement of the chandelier. He cleaned after himself and made sure the bulbs didn’t have any fingerprints. The chandeliers height met my specifications.
