Henry's Paving

Henry's got the job done quickly and for a reasonable price. Some extra work needed to be done like removing a cement area and bushes to make room for a wider paved driveway, and they did an excellent job. The driveway looks great, and I would highly recommend Henry's Paving!

Poor service follow up after the job was done. Henry showed up for an estimate as promised, gave what seemed a reasonable price. After the job was done, there were some areas at the end of the driveway that looked underdone. It rained that evening, and some of the coating watched away. I called the company the next day and was promised that Henry would come by. Promises were made twice with time frames (by who I believe is his wife who seems to manage the business) but he never showed up. It has been a few weeks and I have stopped calling. They have not followed up. In short, the basic job was done adequately for the most part, but actual customer service after the sale to address issues, has been non-existent. Would not recommend.

Extremely pleased with the job that Henry & his crew did. Removed old asphalt where it was unstable, dug out all the edges and replaced with new asphalt over the complete driveway. Henry was at the job site all day and they cleaned up well before leaving.

The entire process from the quote to the work being completed was a great experience. Henry genuinely cared about making sure we got what we wanted and needed and that the job was done right. He was friendly, kind and very professional. He and his crew did an excellent job and worked hard. The driveway is absolutely beautiful, graded perfectly and radically transformed the look of our 1800s farmhouse. I'm recommending Henry's to everyone I know.

I called them up on Friday, for an estimate on the driveway, the work would be done in Avington, PA, someone answered and agreed to come and check on the work the next day, Saturday, at 3:30 pm, I got to the location to meet up with they person at 3:20 pm, at 4:00 no one had showed up nor called, at around 4:10 I called Henry back, no one answered and just got a voice mail, but did not bother to leave a message. At around 4:30 PM someone from Henry's called back, and said that he was busy with another work, but never bother to call me and tell me about it. So he said, he would be go and look at the work, and will call me back. So he called minutes later, and he said, he wanted to re-pave the whole driveway for $2500.00, but I said I don't need repaving, I told him that what I need is to channel the water away from the garage door to an existing drain.The impression was he didn't went to the property because he was unaware of the existing drain. This morning I called Henry's to talk to someone about my complaint, The woman that answered the phone, said she could take the complaint, she said, she would tell the owner but offered no resolution. If someone would be willing to meet me on the location and discuss about the work that I needed to be done, then I would consider hiring their service at the right price.

Mr Henry and his team did a phenomenal job. I don't think that I could have found a better company. Words cannot describe how pleased I am with the work that his team has done. I especially loved Joe. He was very professional and very helpful. Henry even patched a few holes in our street that has plagued the neighbors for a long time. His team has 40 new friends because of this kind gesture. Thank you so much!!! 😊

It went well, they came in and leveled out my existing stone. Laid down the asphalt ,cleaned up and were done in 3 hours. Excellent crew!

Quality of the work is top notch. They were careful and methodical, taking pride in their work. They communicated constantly in the scheduling and were always professional. Their equipment was clean and modern, and they left the area just as clean when they left. The price was almost 25% less than my lowest quote from their competitors. An outstanding value. I hope others use them and reward them for being a reputable and talented local business in our community.

I had three companies come out. Henry had the most practical solution. The other guys wanted to take out the whole driveway. Henry helped with a bunch of thoughts. By rerouting a gutter, for example, I can do an easy job that keeps the costs down and adds to the solution. With rain, he wasn't able to get here as we originally planned. Good communication at first, then the work started as a surprise one day. Once they started, however, they worked hard to get the job done. I had asked for a couple improvements to what he had originally suggested (Where to reinstall the mailbox). He made it all work. Two terrible looking parts of my driveway look great now. I'd hire him again, but with the good work that he did, I think I won't need to.

We Expressed interest in hiring Henry's paving to do the job. We asked if we could talk out the details and get a contract. They kept scheduling our job before we even had a contract. Finally Henry came over and wrote out what we would be getting and that the whole job would take about 3 days. We never signed the contract but he also did not ask for a deposit. The first day, he dropped off in the late morning a few guys that had absolutely no experience whatsoever tearing up a cement driveway. They started at the front and worked their way to the back which in turn dug huge holes into the dirt and clay underneath the driveway. They were only there 4 hours as they were picked up at about 2pm and never returned. During the time these people were at my house they totally destroyed 2 evergreens and a $60 landscaping fence. Day two, they came back and excavated more of the driveway. They dug the wheels of the cat into the clay and mud so badly they would get stuck and just spin their wheels. One of them tried to drive the roller machine over my front yard which could have crushed my sewer pipes. Day Three, they finally finished excavating the driveway. but by this time, it was a huge wet, muddy, clay like mess. It was towards the end of the day when they went to get the stone sub base and fill it in. To our surprise, it was contruction debris that included not only crushed cement but also huge chunks of wire and wood, nails, screws. They threw it down, spread it out and since it was 5pm were in a big hurry to get out of there. Henry told us he had to wait two weeks for it to settle, which he never made mention of when we agreed to have him do this job. He told us it would take 2 or 3 days. He said he would stop back in two weeks to test it. We paid him $1500.00 that day. I swear it was like walking on a mattress, very springy. My husband filled a garbage can with pieces of rotted wood, wire and metal pieces, nails and screws from the debris they dropped into the driveway. Two weeks passed and we contacted him again. He confirmed that he would stop over on Saturday around noon. We sat there the entire day and he never showed or called. We let him go the following monday when I received an email from him stating that he would be back on wednesday to complete the work.

This was the best price. The job was done quickly and is still in very good shape. I would use them again and recommend their service.
