When I reached out to Rick for a potential mold issue, he got back to me very quickly the same day (which was a weekend) and set up an appointment with me for that following Monday. Rick and team stepped in to help when we were on deadline selling my house. The buyer's inspection revealed mold in the attic, and Environmental Mold Solutions was recommended by our listing agent. Rick came out immediately to inspect the potential mold, and clearly articulated what needed to be done to remediate the problem. He sent a formal, written proposal for the work, with a fair price and straightforward agreement to sign. While he was already booked for the next month, he fit the job into his schedule so we could adhere to our buyers' quick timeline. He and Ryan arrived on time, completed the work quickly and without disruption. Upon completion of the job, my house was clean and I had full confidence in the quality of work. Contacted Rick on recommendation of home inspector. Also contacted 3 other mold remediation companies for quotes based on Angie’s List reviews. Of all 4 contractors, Rick was the most scientific and knew his product the best. I appreciated he wasn't using the "fear tactic" to sell his products and for that matter, wasn't really in "sales mode." Rick doesn’t do mold tests himself…never trust a mold remediation company that does mold tests themselves. Most other contractors tried to sell us on spot treatment of visible mold growth. But we were concerned this would only catch what they could see. We wanted an airborne agent that would kill anything we couldn't see (think duct work), then spot treat, and then an encapsulation agent on the underside of all first floor joists. Rick's service was an exact match. (1) antimicrobial Fog, (2) hand wipe with chemicals, (3) encapsulate. Area to be treated was an unfinished basement about 800 sq ft + small crawlspace. Crew arrived Friday at 7:30am and finished by 1pm. These are harsh chemicals that require respirator. You don't want to be in the house during (out of an abundance of caution, wife, I and two toddlers stayed the entire weekend with family to let the house air out). 48 hours after service, odor is gone and basement is mold resistant. Wonderful! We are thrilled with the results. If you want a reputable mold service, this is it. As an analytical guy with a knack for details, I highly recommend.

They did a great job. Our insurance company sent a company that didn’t wear masks and didn’t go behind shelving or doors. Environmental mold was so much more thorough. Owner checked everywhere.! We had a few contractors come in for estimates on new kitchen and rebuild after flood. Another remediation company commented on what a great job Environmental Mold did. They also hauled away anything that could not be cleaned and cleaned what could be saved. I was also impressed that his crew wore the proper masks to protect them from mold. It was expensive but I know it was done correctly and would hire him again. He also answered his phone anytime we called.

Rick is great. Arrived on time for the estimate, and talk through things with me in a way that didn't feel like I was getting a hard sell. More like I was being educated by a guy who knew what he was talking about and cared about the work that he would be doing. After getting a few other estimates, EMS was the clear choice. Work was done on schedule and looks great. I would definitely use them again, but thanks to Rick's great work, the odds of that are lower. So the least I can do is hope to get him more business from other people!

Rick inspected our basement completely and had a proposal to us within days. EMS is located locally and had excellent reviews on Angie's List, so we agreed to the contract price. EMS scheduled our job in less than a week and was even able to accommodate a request to come a little later than their regular starting time.

They showed up on time and did the job in one day. They put down tarps to protect our floors. The attic definitely looks better.

I was very happy with the results. All the mold is completely gone. The company uses a clear coating to seal and protect the attic in the future. All the other company's wanted to use a white mold resistant paint throughout the attic which would not have been good. Now it looks like I never had any mold. The picture shows an area that had black mold spots but was treated and now looks as it did before the mold problem.

I would highly recommend his company to anyone. Rick is very efficient and easy to deal with as he got back to us quickly by email or phone. He came out and did the proposal explaining everything in detail and if we had any concerns. Rick is very knowledgeable about his products and mold. I also scheduled very easily with him according to our needs. Rick and his worker did a wonderful job. We didn't think the black mold could be removed completely. We were so astonished that you can barely tell where it was on the wood at all. It actually looks like we have brand new plywood again! I would use him again and refer him highly. Great Job!!!

During the sale of our home the potential buyers had a mold test conducted, which to our surprise showed a high level of mold that was "Too Numerous To Count" as per the report. After searching the internet for a local company in my area, I found Environmental Mold Solutions and within minutes of sending an email, received a call from the owner Rick James. He was able to come out to my home that afternoon and very knowledgeably explained the test results and his remediation plan. We did, however, obtain quotes from 2 other companies (we like to do our homework), but we decided to go with Rick because he was reasonable and his methods and antimicrobial solution met the standards of my husband who is a research scientist/biochemist. In addition, he offered a 2 year warranty for his product, whereas the other companies ranged from 6 months to 1 year. A 2-year warranty demonstrated to us a lot of confidence in their services and products!! On the day of the remediation, Rick and his crew were extremely professional and he followed up afterwards to make sure everything was OK. Although we had been surprised (and very unhappy) about the mold levels in our house, I'm pleased to report that after Rick's remediation efforts, the test results came back satisfactory!! It was a very satisfying experience and I would highly recommend Environmental Mold Solutions and its owner Rick James.

EMV did a great job removing mold from our attic. We had a previous contractor perform the service using a dry ice method. This did not properly remove the mold. We are very happy with the results EMV provided and would definitely recommend Rick and the EMV team! This is truly a professional company, reliable and guaranteed to get the job done quickly and efficiently.

A mold evaluation was performed as a follow up to an inspector report that noted dark sheathing in the attic and a notation that mold remediation was performed in the the basement (disclosed in seller disclosures) . Rick promptly performed remediation services to the satisfaction of the seller (in the opinion of the seller) at reasonable cost.

We contacted Environmental Mold Solutions because we had had some water damage in the house. They responded quickly and we were relieved.They checked the area first thoroughly and then treated it. My dog and I were sent upstairs so that the dog would not get near the chemicals. It took less than an hour and I got to see the areas again, only to find out that the mold was completely gone. They were very friendly and professional. Truly recommend them, gave us peace of mind.

We had a unknown leak in the drain of our disk washer which had gone undetected for roughly a month. We had a new kitchen floor installed 14 months ago but tile was never placed in the disk washer area which meant that area was lower that the new floor resulting in water resting under the kitchen floor. We ask Rick to come and access the damage which he did. He used a unique Mold Treatment which was very effective and did not require major treatment of the structure. He was able to effectively complete his treatment in one day. His neatness and work ethic was appreciated by my wife and myself.
