Jon Atkin is very knowledgable about the needs of seniors who are "aging in place." My elderly father had fallen and was no longer able to manage steps and walking without a walker or wheelchair. Once we were notified that my father was being discharged to return home from the rehab nursing facility, we had very little time to make accommodations to my parent's home. Jon was very quick to respond and within a week a special ramp was built at the front door and extra bars installed in the bathrooms. I hirely recommend him.

We hired Jon and his merry band of men to do a wide variety of projects to prep our house for sale. Ever since we bought the home it had been impossible to find and keep a reliable and cost-effective handyman. One literally disappeared, another starting viewing us as an ATM, others would not show up, etc. Jon is extremely reliable, does quality work and does so at a reasonable price. In addition to those qualities, Jon has the resources of Doylestown Builders behind him so, to use the old cliche, no job is too big or too small. And, to the extent a job doesn't fall squarely within his level of expertise (which is very wide) he has a network of specialists he can recommend. Working with Jon is a pleasure. It's more like having a really good friend who knows how to fix just about anything AND who cares about your property. Obviously he's a friend who expects to (and should) be paid for his work, but in all the work he's done from little things like fixing a toilet to very demanding and detailed work, I've never once thought he was trying to take advantage of us. He's a real pro and a really good person.

The worker had an accident & did not have his van, so he did not have the tools necessary to do the work. He replaced the hoses on my washing machine & when I got home that night, the floor was soaking wet. Plus, he did not know how to change my water filter. It was terrible.

Small project but handled very professionally ; would use again

Jon was on time, laid out his project plan, purchased the material, worked in sweltering heat, and completed the project on time, within budget. I will use him again if the need arises.
