Seamless process, from sit down to drawing phase, through construction. Every aspect was professional. I'm extremely pleased no regrets. Top notch quality. They are there to trouble shot and insure everything is OK. We recommends them to our friends and family.

I am really disappointed with the service I have received from Anthony & Sylvan. From the beginning of our project (complete pool renovation, including a more expensive plaster, coping and tiles) their communication has been atrocious. Initially, their outsourced teams would do sloppy jobs. I had to call them back several times to fix their problems. Once the job was finished, they didnt tell me that my decking sunk and that I had a 2-3 inch trip hazard in my deep end. Ontop of the (approx $30k) i paid now I had an additional $6-8k to replace the decking. It would have been nice if they showed me the issue and explained what happened. NOT A WORD. They just packed up and left, and my wife and I were surprised to see the total height difference between the decking and the coping. In addition, when the renovation was over, there were very large discolored spots in my pool where it looked as if they did not plaster some parts. When I inquired, told me an acid wash would fix the problem. This is a very strong acid, and essentially scrapes off a layer of plaster, which we did. Well it has been 2 years, and now my plaster is showing signs of deteriorating. they have been UNRESPONSIVE on their new electronic claim system. I had to email a rep that helped me with the original issues - and still very little to no response. My plaster is looking bad after two years (still under warranty) and do not want to address the problem. These guys are a joke. Their lack of customer service is mind boggling. I thought they would have been good because they originally installed my pool 30 years ago. Now I just think they are a scam. How can a national brand not respond to customers when they have problems??? I have been super nice, and patient, but these have run out. Please DO NOT USE A&S. My guess is they are fine is everything goes right. If it doesnt, they become a nightmare.

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER USING ANTHONY and SYLVAN POOLS!!! The last 30 weeks building our pool has been a nightmare with them. It took them 30 weeks to build a pool which was estimated to be only a 10-week project. They are HORRIBLE at communicating with the customer. In fact, the communication is so bad their subcontractors complained to us about it. My wife has NO vacation time left because they cannot keep their own timeline straight as to when the customer needs to be home. On top of we failed EVERY inspection. Maybe it was because their Project Manager Scott Chernin was absolutely nowhere to be found when we needed him. Maybe it was because we did most of his job to try to have Sylvan complete our pool because in 30 weeks he was at our house a total of 3 times. Not exactly the type of customer service and project management I expected with a top name like Anthony Sylvan Pools. After the pool was completed we had leaks in it. We were never told this was commonplace for a Gunite pool after it is installed, and it took WEEKS to get someone out here to fix it. It was like pulling teeth to get someone out here because they were too busy, always in a meeting. Believe you me though, when they failed an inspection they had someone here the next day. Truth be told now that the pool is in and we have 2 more inspections due Sylvan has washed their hands of us.We had escalated the issues to Scotts manager Tara, and then her manager Neil Coyne. Honestly, with all of the issues we had with the failed inspections, cracks in our pool Deck, and over-spray due to sloppy craftsmanship and their lack of response after the pool is in. I am now starting to question Sylvan Lifetime Warranty. After your pool is in it is just a pass the buck. I have heard nightmare stories about other pool companies and that is why my wife and I chose Anthony Sylvan thinking they were the Mercedes of pool companies, when in actuality it is quite the opposite. Maybe they were good a few decades ago but recently from my own personal experience, and the other one star reviews I read the other day on the internet, I am thinking they are not the company who respects their customers and takes pride in their work. That is proof enough that Anthony Sylvan Pools does not care about their customers best interests, or the poor craftsmanship with the construction of their pools. BUYER BEWARE!

The main problem with AS is that they depend almost exclusively on subcontractors for their work. This means that you as the customer will spend a lot of time waiting for resources to become available. The concrete, the electrician, the plumber, and even the hardscaper are independent contractors who, in my opinion, dont give any special priority to your project. The project manager is more a facilitator than a manager. Although the project took longer than it needed to, I should say that I have no complaints about the quality of work.

Avoid this company if you read nothing else! The only thing that Anthony & Sylvan (A&S) does well is marketing. I paid UP big to have “the great” Anthony and Sylvan build by pool, but I could have gotten the same awful experience and final result with just about any Joe the Builder and I would have saved myself over $15,000 and probably some headache. I was told my build would take between 6-8 weeks when I signed the contract and it was 6 months from shovel in the ground to final inspection. I would expect some problems with any large project (I’ve done plenty of them to know), but at this price I would also expect those problems to be dealt with swiftly and professionally. Every issue we faced, and there were many, was a tremendous struggle and fight to get rectified. Numerous times we were flat out ignored. There is no concept of a project manager here so be ready to manage it yourself. Quite honestly with a phone and the yellow pages you could call the same sub-contractors used by Anthony and Sylvan and build your own pool yourself and really save some money. It is all out sourced. I initially had trouble with this company in regards to scheduling, communication, and follow up. Anthony & Sylvan did resolve those issues. Therefore I am updating my review. I appreciate their help in resolving my frustrations in a fairly timely manner. Unfortunately, we are still dealing with unforeseen problems. Specifically, the upgraded plaster we purchased was installed incorrectly. as a result, they had to drain our pool a month or two after it was opened to apply an acid treatment to try and fix the plaster. The acid treatment did not work and now i am being told all of the plaster will have to be ripped out and reinstalled in the spring. I am grateful that they are continuing to work on the project. However, I am extremely disappointed that the project will now take a year to complete (or at least I am hopeful it will only take a year.) I will update in spring/summer of 2019 as Anthony & Sylvan repair their install. So far, I would not recommend this company.

There was a ton of rain that hindered the progress of construction, but they were sensitive to that and worked as quickly as possible to get the job completed.

A&S was the only pool company that came thru as professionals during my search for a contractor to build a inground pool. I had at least 4 contractors contact me for this job, however none of them gave me any specific information of what type of pool i should go for and specifics of a pool design that would fit my property landscape. The cost estimate was specific to details. Their customer service and contractors were very professional and knew what they were doing thru each stage of the construction process. Our rep Robert Mccubbin and the project manager Harald Bottke was very helpful and communicated with us thru all the stages of the construction. I am glad I hired A&S and would recommend them to anyone without a doubt.

Ray is an excellent guy to work with. He showed up twice when the weather was bad, just to make sure that my pool wasn't frozen!

They were professional, courteous, and thorough. They have been around for a while and we had friends who had used them before. We hired them and they did a great job They stand by their product and are patient. We don't have anything negative to say about them. We recommend them to anyone.

They have great customer service and are very easy to deal with.

They need to make sure that their workers clean up after themselves. Some of them did, and some did not.

They were excellent to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

I have compared my pool my to neighbor's pools and the process was flawless. They were very responsive. They even closed it for free this year and gave us a free cover. They gave us a lot of extras for free. Customer service went out of their way to help us. A good value compared to others. We are very happy with them.

My service guy was really good and the guy that oversees the project was excellent.
