We chose Anthony and Sylvan to build our pool after considering other companies. They have a fantastic reputation and came highly recommended by several neighbors and friends. What we also felt was important- was that they handle every aspect of building the pool. They construct the pool, install the fencing, install the pool decking, and have a great service department and their own retail stores that carry the products they recommended specifically for your pool. Everyone has been so supportive and available to assist in any way. They have an amazing Warranty division headed by Neil Coyne. Neil has been supportive every step of the way along with his incredible associate Lisa Hartman. They go above and beyond to address any issues you may have and will work endlessly until they find the right solutions. They define Customer Service and Loyalty. Kevin is one of their best techs along with Terry Shaffer who supervised our plaster work, and have just been great to deal with. What I would tell someone who was thinking about building a pool- is that Anthony and Sylvan stands by their work. They care about their customers and they understand this is one of the biggest investments a family will make and they do everything in their power to truly make this your private oasis. The people in service have been so great to work with. From scheduling with Dorothy, Ashley, and Susan- they all work so hard to get your pool opened and closed on the dates that are convenient for the customer and have a tech out in a day if you have a specific service need. They treat you with such kindness and I have developed nice friendships over the years with these wonderful people. Mike is the service manager, but he has also worked on our pool for several years. He knows the pool and the equipment inside and out. I trust him completely and I know he works hard to train his crew to be knowledgeable and dependable. He is such a great guy and always enjoy getting to see him. The retail store in Montgomeryville I go to is a life saver. They test your water and give a computerized reading for free. Then they can tell you exactly what chemicals you need to balance your pool and the exact amounts. Tim is the store manager and is so helpful and really cares about his customers. They all greet you with a big smile and you actually develop friendships because you are in there a couple of times a week. They make keeping your pool water balanced and beautiful a stress free chore! All of the retail workers have been so nice and knowledgeable. They also have a great loyalty program that provides discounts on supplies and chemicals. To me- the most important factor in doing business with anyone is that they stand by their work. Especially when it is such a large investment. Anthony and Sylvan have been building pools a long time and their customer service is incredible. They never abandon you and can always be reached. We are so happy we chose them to build our pool and will have a very long relationship with them. It was definitely the RIGHT and the BEST choice of pool companies. There are so many wonderful people that have helped us- but I am unable to recall all of the names. I appreciate them all. There are so many fantastic people that work very hard behind the scenes to make Anthony and Sylvan the number one pool company across the country.

1. We started the work in fall of 2012 hoping to get a better rate. They completed the initial portion in fall and completed everything in the spring of 2013. If I had to do it over I would not have started the construction in the fall because the backyard was a mess for several months. Our neighbor started i Spring and completed their pool around the same time. I don't think the discount, if there was one, is worth it. 2. We wanted a rectangular pool so our kids could actually swim laps, so the pool itself is not that exciting to look at like a irregular shaped one. But for my family it works out fine. 3. We installed an automatic pool cover (Coverstar). More for piece of mind than actual function since we have young kids. They cost quite a bit. Ours was about $10k. After getting it, we found that we rarely use it. For the winter time we bought a separate pool cover. The reason being that we were not sure if the automatic cover would actually hold the weight of the snow. If I had to do it over again, I probably wouldn't get it. 4. The subcontractors who come out to do their individual parts for the construction were all professional. 5. Definitely make sure the grading of the remaining lawn is how you want it. We would have wanted ours a little different. 6. Overall, I'm happy with the experience and our pool.

New Customer service representative, Owen Sakovics, is excellent and has resolved our concerns. If Anthony Sylvan continues to hire new employees like Owen, I would highly recommend the company.

While their price seemed very high, they did an excellent job.

The service worked out fine. I thought they did a good job and we got exactly what we wanted. I can't complain about that. They were very professional.

It worked out fine. They came, did they were supposed to do and left. They didn’t do anything special. They didn’t impress me one way or another. My interaction with them was minimal and that’s how I like it.

Arrived on time, clean up in between, they did a beautiful job, i have no complaints.

They were professional, they showed up on time and they were timely in giving us our quote. The gentleman who came out was very helpful in explaining the whole process of what needed to be done. I would definitely work with them if we have them money. It would be something we would move forward with.

The salesman was excellent and the company performed the work above expectations – nice to have that happen once in a while.

Scheduling was easy and they were flexible. The salesperson was very good, thorough, and knew his stuff. The technicians did a decent job, but left a big mess. They left tile and cement in the bottom of my pool. The debris got into the filter and it caused problems. I called them and they sent someone out the next day to clean it up. They claimed that we couldn't prove that it was their fault that the filter got clogged, so they wouldn't fix it, but they did try to sell me a new filter. Update 5/22/15 Shortly after posting my original review, I was contacted by Owen at Anthony & Sylvan. He took the time to understand my concerns and we were able to work together to find a resolution. I?ve since had a positive experience working with Mike and Mike on their service team to open my pool and will be using them again later this season to make a few upgrades to my equipment. I really appreciate Owen and the service team for their professionalism and commitment to quality service.

From Ashley's weekly reminder calls, letting me know when the crew would arrive, to the great group of guys who came every week, I couldn't have been more pleased! When I first bought our house 2 years ago, the guys told me that the pool was in deplorable shape. I had to agree. It needed a new filter, new heater and last year, we replastered and retiled the entire pool. Well, now they tell me it's their favorite pool on their route! It is immaculate, thanks to their top-notch care every week. Between the automatic chorinator and their weekly maintenance, II don't have to lift a finger anymore to have an incredibly gorgeous pool. Great, friendly guys - beautiful, care-free summer! Thanks a million!

They are wonderful! They come out weekly and take care of everything. There are no hidden costs. Our last service provider sent us bills for everything, constantly, and didn't show up all the time. Last year, with Anthony and Sylvan, we went through an entire summer stress free. We never received an additional charge for anything. The pool was spotless all the time. Ashley called weekly to tell us they were coming and they never missed a week. Everyone that works there, is so kind and knowledgable. I would highly recommend this company to everyone.

Combination of them re-plastering, me buying new products and them servicing it = best year with my pool yet! Owen Sakovics coordinated all of the renovation and service for me. Renovation designer was John Devlin. Pam set up the initial appointment. Tom managed the renovation. Melissa was my day-to-day contact. Bill Lee was the GM of renovations. He is the guy who helped smooth out any little bumps along the way. Randy assisted with the caring of my pool after the renovation. VIP Pool service. The schedulers were Ashley and Sue. Mike is the service manager. Helped expedite installation of the equipment. All the technicians were excellent!

Overall we are very satisfied with the finished product. I would recommend this company for pool installation and hope that they will continue to improve their communication and punctuality while completing future contracts. Our installation did run over the contracted time by three weeks and the delays were not due to weather. At times it was difficult to communicate and get responses to questions and scheduling concerns, but this did improve when we were assigned a different project manager.

It was established years ago. Their price would have been a little more than what we had through our other estimates. I know that they're a quality company and they did a quality job. It was timely and they did the job that I want. It looked acceptable to me. We've been satisfied with them in the past and they did a good job. They were on time. What they did was beautiful. They told me what my responsibilities are for the next two weeks. They told me what I have to do and how I have to do it. They were excellent and really good. I'm a satisfied customer. That's one of the number one companies not only here in my area but nationwide.

From start to currently trying to finish this process it has been nothing but a train wreck. From salesman, submitting plans other than the ones I approved(which could have led to the installation of drain tanks costing $) painting out the pool for approval to his liking rather than putting in the legal corner of my yard as expressed. EVERYTHING has been subcontracted including their receptionists. Information gets dispersed through numbers of people from project manager to the schedulers and they aren't always on the same page. TERRIBLE. Lots of hold ups because they don't take responsibility for the work of their subcontractors that receive partial information at best. I'm currently waiting for a piece of missing equipment that I have been asking about for a week. I was just told TODAY that it's being ordered. They haven't completed my plumbing correctly because they are still working from the erroneously submitted plans. Totally disgruntled with this company. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! Update: Corporate has contacted me and all issues have been resolved to date. 7/11/14

It came out great. Seemed expensive, but everything related to a pool always is.

The sales person was good and professional and seemed to be the right fit though the cost was very high. The crew they sent out could not speak English and were not really employees of Sylvan just independent contractors. They were sloppy and messy and when they pumped out our pool they did so into our neighbors yard and flooded their basement. A real not cool deal. Eventually we got hold of Sylvan and they made things right to a degree but the neighbors never spoke to us again. Do not trust this company as their workers are not who you want doing your work.

They did a great job. We had a pool for 35 years. It was a Sylvan pool and it worked wonderfully, we were very lucky, and then we just had to have that done last year. I highly recommend them. They do give us a fairly decent price and it was a better product than what we initially had. They did it very quickly.
