Pool resurfacing was smooth and complete. Retile was clean and properly aligned both on bottom and around interior perimeter of pool. Salt water system conversion was painless and a welcomed improvement. Any minor issues were addressed promptly and to my satisfaction. The entire experience was akin to installing a brand new pool without the wait or permit requirements.

They are a very solid company that delivers what they promise. They did an excellent job! I will definitely recommend them and absolutely use them, again.

Save yourself! This company is a general contractor who doesn't do any work themselves. They sub out all the work and have NO control over the quality of the work or even when the contractors show up. We failed every inspection at least twice (plumbing) some even more (electrical). It took over a year to finish and we had to pay a lawyer $6k to threaten a lawsuit in order to get the work done. If you read the contract carefully, it states that work will begin within 35 days of receiving the permit. What they do is STALL in getting the permit to delay construction. We fought for WEEKS to get them to put the proper paperwork in. Delays, delays. The woman who does permits lives in south jersey so if she doesn't feel like driving to your town on any given day you are out of luck, days and weeks fly by with NO explanation. I offered multiple times to submit the paperwork myself but they don't allow that. Had to call EVERY DAY to get anything done but even then, they don't answer their phones. They just say 'sorry it's a busy time', they don't return calls on a timely basis, they don't tell you in advance when the work will be taking place, they just assume you'll be there when someone shows up. When things are REALLY busy they will not answer phones for days and tell you their phone system was down but let's face it, if customer service is important to them they would find a way to use cell phones to communicate or answer emails, especially when they know full well you're waiting for an answer, a date, ANYTHING. Basically they don't care about YOU the customer who has to shell out a lot of money in advance of every phase. They shut down from NOV 15 - March 15th. so good luck getting an answer to any question you might have. You are S.O.O.L. We signed our contract in May and construction didn't begin until November, then they shut down and left us hanging all winter. For us, that meant a horrific looking cement hole in the ground covered with unsightly cheap plastic that rips apart and flaps around in the winter. It is a hazard! I don't know what else to say except I'd look elsewhere for a pool company or change the contract to protect yourself. Look for your state's consumer protection laws and arm yourself with knowledge, there are many things they are supposed to do that Sylvan never did. We are lucky that we used our own mason to do the pool deck or it may have taken another 6 months to finish. We had to use our own contractors to do the backfilling of trenches because they neglected to do it for weeks (also hazardous leaving open trenches with plumbing and electrical conduits exposed) as well as some of the other work. Neither they or their contractors are there when inspections occur. If you don't manage this process yourself you will continue to lose more time because they are not on top of things. In the end we got the pool finished with the help of our attorneys however, I nearly had a nervous breakdown in the process. Definitely not worth all the aggravation.

Anthony & Sylvan Pools worked hard to correct the scheduling issues and I look forward to the pool cover installation.

It went fairly well. It was very professional from the project end. We've used them to close the pool and they do a very nice, professional job.

They were really good. They hand held us through the whole process. We went though the township board to get approval. They designed a beautiful pool. We're still using their maintenance package. They'be been a very good pool company.

I am extremely pleased with the whole process. I think they are very professional, and it was amazing to see the whole process, from the digging, to the end putting the final touched on it, they knew what they were doing, I would receive notification of what they were doing that day, very positive experience.

Everything went just fine. It was very smooth and The pool has been great to use.

All in all, we were happy with it. The first person we dealt with wasn't so great. The process took longer than we were told. We were told the pool would be done around mid-May, but we couldnt really use it until July. I think we got a good price for the pool, but things could've been explained a bit better. There could've been more of a visual idea given to useabout what the pool was going to look like. The initial commuication wasn't that great, they didn't return calls or emails, before we even paid or signed a contract, so we almost didnt even use them at first. However, the second part of the experience was a lot better. The construction supervisor, Steve, was fantastic to deal with. There was a leakage issue that occurred and they were very good with dealing with that. Also, I like that their service doesn't end after the pool is done- they have a very good pool company that they passed onto us and they've been very good about following through with issues and keeping up their commitment after the pool was done. The pool looks great and we are happy with it, I think it was a good value.

I am totally satisfied with the work that they did. The pool looks brand new and I couldn't be happier. The crew is wonderful to work with, are very skilled, professional, and knowledgeable.

It went well. I am very happy with the pool. They were pretty professional, and the quality of work on the pool was very good. The sales/design process was very smooth. This was my first time using this company, and would recommend them!

It was really good. Eric who was the sales guy was very thorough and determine what we could afford. Frank was the project manager he came over about a dozens times, to let us know how things were going. Other then the delay we had everything was really well. It was right on budget. We have been using the pool all summer, and frank helped open the pool and I go to buy supplies for the pool as well.

It worked out very good. The technicians were very professional and everything worked out great.

Ian Forrester is exceptional. I had a graduation for my son and I couldn't figure out what was going on with my pool. There seemed to be an imbalance with the chemicals and turned our pool green just before the party. Ian and the manager gave us something to treat the pool and told us that within hours the problem would be solved and we'd be swimming by 1 pm and by 1 pm we were swimming! It's a rare commodity to find customer service like theirs and they do it extremely well. We are now faithfuil to this company. They go above and beyond.

They built my pool 30 years ago and I have used them ever since. I purchase chemicals from them and they open and close my pool every year. They have always given me wonderful service. They are polite, knowledgeable, professional and my pool looks great and is built like a rock after all this time.

They are very knowledgeable. Great at trouble shooting problems. She always run promotions on pool supplies. You build a relationship with them. They did my pool heater and matched the online price. They want make you happy.

Approximately four years ago we decided to have our Gunite Pool renovated. We received several bids to perform and total renovation including pumps, heater and filters. We ended up selecting Anthony Sylvan as the contractor. The process did not go well. I ended up taking days off from work in order to ensure the construction work was being performed properly. We noticed several areas of concern within the first two years. When I called customer service they said they could not help us. Any repairs would result in a fee. These issues included but are not limited to: Anthony Sylvan took unapproved shortcuts by using all the existing pool fixtures, including spa jets, filter basket housings, filter baskets, spa pool light and pool return jets. These all should have been replaced with new since they were almost 30 years old. The new pool heater circuit board has been replaced four times with service visit charges. Now we are told we will be charged for additional units and the cost of service. The heater was a lemon to begin with and should have been replaced. Pool piping was reused rather than running new pipe to the pool pumps and filters. The pools cantilevered Concrete work was not secured properly and has since become detached and loose around the Spa area. The Gunite did not reflect the initial Blue color we selected and we were told that the variation was normal. The Gunite is already cracking at the pool steps. Customer service there was nothing they could do unless we wanted to pay for the repairs. Recently the 2.5 HP Filter Pump seized. I was informed by the technician that these pumps are made not to last and that was the probable cause of the failure. An $800 dollar failure. The pump was over sized for the pool when we renovated. The original size was 1.5 HP. (28 years with no problem)
