We contacted Gaydos Granite and Tile (business name is Gaydos Flooring) on the recommendation of a friend to purchase a granite counter top. We initially selected a granite called Peacock. Prior to going to the stone warehouse to inspect the slab of granite, Nikki, the office manager called us back to tell us that the warehouse had called her to advised the slab had some imperfections they had not noticed until the moved the slab to be available for our inspection. Because we wanted to do the job with just one slab, Nikki said she would contact alternate suppliers. She called back in a few days to advise she had located a supplier somewhat further away who could supply a slab of Peacock granite but it would be slightly more expensive because of additional shipping costs. She also mentioned that the original supplier (closer to us) did have another good quality slab available of Royal Peacock which was similar to the one we picked out, slightly more expensive, and had more luminescence so she wasn't sure that we would like it. We advised her we would check out the Royal Peacock slab first, saw it, and liked it even better than the original selection. The additional cost was about $100 which was acceptable to us. The templating was scheduled and carried out, the installation schedule was set. Everything was done with quality work, on the date and time scheduled and by courteous, professional staff. The price was as quoted with no extra charges. Gorge, the templater and one of the installers, also suggested when doing the templating that we put the hole for the soap dispenser on the left of the faucet instead of the right as we originally requested because the right side would interfere with the faucet handle. Subsequent to the installation we went back to Gaydos to select backsplash tile after a disappointing experience with a major tile manufacturer. Once again, Nikki demonstrated professional knowledge of the options for backsplash tile, had a wide range of samples to choose from, gave us a good estimate of the price, and was quite willing to provide the tile for installation by a separate contractor we had chosen.

Gaydos propmt came to examine the job, a bit slow in giving the estimate, but pricing was significantly better then other quotes. The instalation was excellently done, very clean and quickly done once we had all the materials which was our responsibility.
Description of Work: Remove old backsplash and install new backsplash. Materials bought seperately.
No services were performed as Gaydos never scheduled the estimate with us after multiple attempts. They finally stopped all contact with us and never responded to an email I sent asking where I should return their granite samples. I heard from multiple people that this company was terrific and reputable, but their lack of communication and follow up was odd. I still want to believe that this was a fluke, perhaps you'll have better results. The only thing we believe may have influenced this is that we were asking them for carpet repair, new carpets, granite countertops and tiling in our kitchen. Perhaps it was potentially too much work and they passed? We're not sure. They told us the carpet installer was on vacation, but still no calls or follow through.
Description of Work: No services were rendered.

They are an excellent service.
Description of Work: They laid some flooring in my home.
It is a great place for buying granite and tiles. I spent like $8000 for the granite installation and I spent $1500 for the last service. Gaydos Flooring is a very small company. So, you get one on one service. They are very easy to talk with. They have great ideas. They work with you. They allow you to take products home and then bring them back. Their pricing was very competitive and everything was done in a very timely manner. It was done and completed when they said they were going to. So, it was a good experience.
Description of Work: I got flooring for my bathroom from Gaydos Flooring. They also did my granite and tile work when I had my house built. My last interaction with them was in November of 2010 for flooring.
