Classic Real Estate of Chester County

Vernon MacIntyre is a genuinely nice man. He tries to avoid trouble and mediate conflicts when they occur. Unfortunately, these qualities lead him to be less-than-accurate in his assessment of others, as well as his to lose focus of his own responsibilities to one side of the real estate equation In avoiding conflict at all costs. Vern cost me both time and money in our most recent transaction, predominantly by catering to the side that wasn't paying him. He'd be a great coach or referee because he tries to be fair. He's not so good as a guy trying to close a real estate deal in your favor. Additionally, his communication skills seem to depend upon his mood, which is prone to swing haphazardly. His technological skills are poor and he is frequently late for scheduled appointments. Vern complains incessantly. This is somewhat endearing until you realize that he's likely complaining about you behind your back. Despite these damaging weaknesses as an agent, I still believe Vern is attempting to do his best, and trying to do the right thing. He appears to simply be incapable. It''s likely Vern will respond by saying this particular deal was unusually tough, that there were mitigating circumstances, etc. This is the third deal I've been a part of with him, and each deal has shared those characteristics. The common factor hasn't been the circumstances, it's been the agent.
