Bill Mullen Sr. showed up promptly and performed the work in a matter of hours. He was very professional. I hope to get them to perform the rest of my electrical work on my new kitchen.

Overall Bill did a great job installing a bathroom fan with a heater. The fan is working great and I believe he did an excellent job. He also cleaned up very well after finishing the job. This work was consistent with the excellent reviews which she has received in the past. I should also mention that he went out of his way to help my mother with an unrelated issue. He helped her to find a lightbulb to help her improve her reading. Overall I've been extremely impressed by several of the people I've worked with that I have found through Angie's list. There are some phenomenal people that I found on Angie's list who are outstanding at what they do. Bill is one of these certainly.

after losing power a few times, in the 4 years in this home - some for a few days at a time, we decided to get a "whole house" generator. We have extra freezers in the basement, and didn't want to take the risk of losing all that people and dog food, not to mention going without heat or air conditioning for long periods. We would not hestitate to recommend Bill Mullen - his price was fair and his service impeccable. He did a great job keeping us up to date on progress (the generator was originally on backorder) and got the job done in the promised time frame. We appreciated his skill so much that we have asked him to do other things while here as well. This guy is the real deal professionally and skill set!

We first encountered Bill Mullen when he sub-contracted for another vendor and we were impressed by his knowledge, alacrity, and courtesy. So, last fall we asked him to see if he could resolve a series of longstanding problems involving electric lines which had stopped functioning and to replace or install ceiling fans and ceiling lights. All of the work was done efficiently, economically, and quickly, even though diagnosing and correcting some of the old problems almost required a crystal ball. In spite of the difficulties, Bill retained his professional attitude and managed to resolve all of our perennial problems. In addition, he always charged fairly and even refused payment if he thought the fix exceeded his time expectations! We can't say enough good things about Bill, his attitude, abilities, and fairness and highly recommend him for any and all electrical work.

In advance of purchasing an electric vehicle, we needed a high voltage receptacle installed on our garage for recharging the car. Bill Jr promptly responded to our initial enquiry, visited our home within one day to provide an estimate. Within two more days we had received our estimate, and Bill adjusted our work order for specific wiring changes we requested. The final estimate was substantially below the two other competitive estimates we had received. Bill scheduled an installation time convenient to our schedule and accomodated the timeline we needed in advance of our car purchase. He and a colleague arrived promptly at 9:30AM on the assigned day, worked diligently and professionally through the day and completed the work in the early afternoon. Per my request, he then carefully walked through the installation with me explaining all the wiring and connections made, and when I discovered I had mistakenly asked him to use the wrong circuit breaker, he cheerfully acquired a new circuit breaker for me and installed in about 20 minutes later. Bill's work was clean and of the highest quality.

I bought a coupon through Angie's list for two hours of work he did my ceiling fan which included removing the dimmer and putting in a regular switch and put in a motion detector light

Bill installed 3 ceiling fans for us and some other electrical work. The ceiling fans turned out to be a pretty major deal because of where the switches and existing runs were. Bill did a great job. not only did he install them well and they work great, he cleaned up the workspace well. he was there all day pretty much and it was a flat rate job which was reasonable to begin with. Bill was friendly and professional, he was responsive on the call and punctual when he got here. we would definately use him again and recommend him to anyone in the area.

My experience was positive. I found him to be very friendly, very honest, and easygoing. He was very good at troubleshooting. He assessed some things for us. He replaced a faulty switch in our bathroom, he fixed a landing light upstairs for us, and he fixed some switches in our kitchen. He also assisted with some wiring from an exterior lamppost we had taken down. We had an exterior outlet on our back deck too that we figured out wasn't always working due to some faulty wiring.

I had some difficulty scheduling first appointment due to electrician's busy schedule. However, subsequent visits were timely. At the first visit, he reviewed my to-do list and 3 GFI outlets were installed. This visit lasted 2 hours because he received so many incoming calls. I had the "Big Deal' that offered 2 hours of work for $99, and he credited the 2nd hour of work to the second visit. He got more work done on the other visits. Except for the cable/telephone wire and wall patch (for the outlet that was moved), I purchaed the supplies ahead of time. Overall, I was pleased, as he was knowledgeable and reasonably-priced ($40 per hour).

The job sent very smooth. Bill showed up when he said he would and finished when he said he would. He worked on two different properties.

They arrived on schedule and worked about six hours until finished. He did a fine job, was clean and polite. We left them alone in the house with no qualms while going out to keep a medical appointment. We were very satisfied and would definitely use again.

He was professional and able to get through everything that I needed to have done in the 2 hours with no extra fees. Came out on time to assess the job before quoting. Realized it would involve some tricky routing for the cable from the main fuse box. Once we accepted the quote, we ordered the fans a set up a date for Mullens to install. Bill Mullen Jr arrived on time, and promptly set to work. Bill worked cleanly, kept mess to a minimum, and cleaned up well before his departure. The installation was completed to our full satisfaction; the fans and lights work perfectly.

Bill did a fantastic job with old sconces that were missing some parts. He also included a dimmer switch which I didn't think to ask for. I would definitely use Bill again for ant other electrical needs.

FIRST CONTACT: We emailed Bill Mullen (from the contact info on Angie's List), and he called us back within 24 hours. We were able to set up an estimate appointment with him the following week (our schedules didn't allow an earlier visit). ESTIMATE VISIT: Bill arrived on time, listened carefully to our needs, asked questions to clarify any vague points, then offered us a couple options for ways he could accomplish what we asked. Before he left, he offered a date and time to perform the work and gave us a price. We asked if we could provide the fan, ducts, and vent to save money; he agreed, and offered advice on good quality equipment to purchase. He gave us his card, and told us to call anytime with questions. WORK DAY: We cleared the bathroom of all loose items and opened up the crawlspace for Bill before he arrived. He showed up on time and finished the installation of the bath exhaust fan in 5 hours. We paid him $250 for labor. He cleaned the space up afterwards so we only had to do a light sweep and return items to their former places in the bath to get back to normal. MORE DETAILS: Bill was the second person we interviewed for the job. The first electrician (NOT Bill Mullen) showed neither Bill's flexibility, creativity, nor willingness to work with the client: he lost the job when he told us immediately that the what we wanted couldn't be done, and recommended an alternative idea that would have been easier for him, but not at all to our liking. This was vexing as we had done a lot of research before calling around for estimates, and we knew his objections were specious. Bill Mullen, on the other hand, worked with us to figure out the best way to achieve what we wanted. He was collaborative and flexible, efficient and friendly, throughout. I felt like he put his expertise and brain power into strategizing about how to do what we requested, rather than trying to shortcut the job. FINAL RESULTS: The fan works beautifully and both it and the outside vent look great; the installations are neat and solid. Bill's work was stellar. We now consider him "our electrician" and will definitely hire him again.
