When the temperature in our Kenmore bottom-freezer refrigerator went to 70 degrees I contacted A-Z Appliance Repair on August 19. A technician came promptly, looked inside the refrigerator, and said that the evaporator needed to be replaced at a cost of over $400, even though the freezer part was working normally. He said that the freezer would stop working soon, too. As I found out later, most units have only one evaporator. I paid the $79.50 service charge (Invoice 4938), bought a small refrigerator to tide us over until Sears could come the following week, and discarded all the food. When both sections were empty, the unit started to work normally again, and it has done so ever since. Obviously, an obstruction had prevented the cold air from circulating into the refrigerator. I contacted the company by mail on August 27 requesting at the very least a refund of the service charge. I have not received an answer so far.

Called on Friday, and he was available for Monday morning. Very prompt, identified the problem and replace the part. Now I have a working oven for a fraction of the cost to replace it.

My dishwasher had several problems where the cost to fix outweighed the cost of a new one. They guy came out and gave me an honest opinion on the purchase of a new unit. He gave me tricks that will make my other appliances last longer

My overall experience was outstanding. Mark was always on time and was always considerate and knowledgeable about the items he was working on. He did research and sent away for parts that were needed. I cannot recommend him highly enough! He is amazing and has saved me thousands of dollars.
