MIKE MITZEL TREE SVC

Here is my experience with Mitzel's on 1-12-2024. Mitzel's four-man crew anchored their rope to a tree that was not on the jobsite property. They spent way more than a half hour pulling from this tree and made no attempt to get permission from the property owner. Does their insurance cover them when working off the contracted property? Their rope knocked off all four pieces of the decorative treeface on said anchor tree. When the owner confronted the foreman about the treeface, the foreman assured him that it would be put back together. This never happened. One of the pieces is still missing. These guys seem careless. Use them for simple jobs only.

Over the past 5 years we've had over 80 trees cutdown on our property and we've always called Mitzel Tree Service to have our tree stumps removed. Mike always does a great job. Each stump is fully ground and he leaves the area clean. Best of all his prices are fair and reasonable.

We needed a tree removed from our backyard so we got a good estimate from MIKE MITZELS TREE SERVE AND STUMP GRINDING. We had to make a second appointment for tree removal and stump grinding last week after waiting months for them to come. The first appointment was for the end of October2020. They showed up January 2021 at time of appointment but never knocked on door. Mike Mitzel stood in our driveway and began cursing and using foul language because my wife and I had our cars parked in our open garage. We were never instructed on how they were going to remove tree and stump. We wanted to wait for their instructions. Mike Mitzel never knocked on our door. He said and I quote “They knew we were going to be here but they have their cars right in the ******* way” end quote. He then made a gesture to his crew to leave and they drove off. Nobody called us to let us know. My wife had to call and ask why. They said they didn’t want to do the appointment because we had our cars in our garage and they couldn’t get to our back yard. My wife and I were both home and waited for them to come and when they did they never knocked on door. Just used profanity for no reason and left. We have a 5 month old baby girl and I won’t let my wife walk to the steer with a car seat. That’s why we park in garage. If they would have just knocked we would have moved the cars. Very unprofessional and upsetting to hear an owner of a business act in such a way.

He and his staff are fantastic. They were early. We have previously used his service.

The work was done when they said it would be and everything was cleaned up and hauled away in a few short hours. This was about the 6th time we had them and will continue to use them for tree services. Very satisfied!

Mike and his crew were extremely efficent with the removal of a very large tree and stump. Each worker did there job very well and removed our tree and ground out the stump in about 4.5 hours. He gave us a very reasonable price to remove the tree and stump. I would recommend him to anyone needing tree removal service.
