Prompt initial response, showed up on time (after calling ahead), and provided a reasonable quote after talking through the options. Very happy with the results! Also, at my request, Dave provided additional quotes via email to install recessed lighting in the living room, a bed room ceiling fan, and moving a light switch. Made plans to reconnect in March 2016 for that work to be done. (Note: Tried to enter cost via the app, but could not do so. $480.)

I contacted several different electricians to get quotes on this job. Rittner's responded promptly to my call and was able to stop by a few days later to give me an estimate. He explained all the options available to complete the job I wanted done. He also explained how the process would work - the role of the electric company, PP&L and the state inspection required. He told me the time-frame he would be available to complete the work but advised me of the dependency on PP&L's schedule to shut off power to the meter. A day or two later, David sent me an email with the estimate which was broken down into several pieces based on the options available. His price was reasonable, he was extremely prompt, and he was very thorough in explaining everything. So I decided to engage his services. He asked for 30% down based on the basic option and gave me the choice to add the other options once the job was underway and we could assess the status of the existing meter housing. I decided to do the whole job right from the start and sent him a check for 30% of the total job. He contacted PP&L, scheduled the power outage and confirmed with me the date to do the job. The day before the job, David called to again confirm that he would be doing the job the next day and told me what time PP&L would shut off the power. The next day, everything happened right on schedule. It took several hours to complete the work but then we had to wait for the inspector to arrive and sign off on the whole thing. The result looks fantastic! I will definitely use Rittner's Electric for any future electrical work I need done.

Dave and his assistant Chad were professional and courteous throughout the entire process. Dave was easy to reach to schedule the work, he accommodated my schedule, he arrived on time, did the work in the amount of time he said he would for the amount he said he would. They made sure they were doing the work exactly the way I wanted it, and the outlets look great. I'm going to have Dave come back to do some other work I need at the office soon. I highly recommend Rittner's to anyone looking for an honest, professional, and pleasant electrician.

One of my outside outlets was causing a short so I needed to have it replaced. Dave diagnosed and fixed the problem promptly and for a good price. Super pleasant to deal with. I have more work to be done in the fall and I will definitely be calling them back.

Dave was great to work with. We had used him a month ago when we had an emergency electrical situation in our kitchen. We were pleased with the work he did for us then and asked him to do additional work as noted above. He provided us with a quote, and we set up a time for him to do the work. He was on time, stayed within the quoted price, and cleaned up when he was finished. He even provided suggestions on where to install the fixture. We would definitely use him again for any electrical needs we have in the future.

Both gentlemen were courteous and very nice. Went above and beyond fixing work another contractor had done that was unsafe. Pointed out some other less urgent issues and offered good suggestions on how they could be addressed when I'm ready. Would definitely use this company again.

Great! Dave worked with us very well. He educated us about reasons for various options for placing of new attic fan and moved on off switch to a more convenient place in case we wanted to turn it off. His work quality was significantly higher than the installer we used 3 years ago.

This is the third time I used Rittner's Electric and, as always, completely satisfied with everything they did to assure my emergency generator was reliable. Great communication including follow up calls. Very helpful with installation ideas. Location drove up materials cost but that was my decision. Everything was according to code and my township inspector was impressed. Materials that they use are above average. Very polite and cleaned up after job. I called Dave after I read the excellent reviews from Angies' List. He answered my call the first time I called and set up an appointment to come over to our house to give an estimate. We walked through the house and I explained our long and short term remodeling goals. He is a good listener and has the creative ability to look at a room and give sound advice to solve problems. Dave sent us an estimate the next day via email. The estimate showed two scenarios; led lights vs florescent lights. My husband and I chose the items from the list and Dave sent us an updated contract within one day. He scheduled us one week after we signed the contract. We appreciated his thoughtfulness throughout the entire project. For example, before he and Chad cut the drywall to insert the lights, he taped the exact location on the ceiling and asked us to view the placements. He listened to our thoughts about what we wanted to do with the walk-in pantry and suggested we put 4 lights in instead of 3 lights. He was correct in his assessment. It really made a big difference! When the drywall in our ceiling kitchen fell down unexpectedly, he saw the problem, and with my husbands help, braced the beams that had twisted. The twisted beam had caused the problem. Then he was able to put recessed lighting in the kitchen ceiling. Dave rerouted electrical circuits on the breaker board because we had too many outlets on one circuit that could have been dangerous. I'm glad he knew exactly what to do and how to solve the problem. Both Dave and Chad acted professionally, treated our house and us with respect and cleaned up the mess before they left the house. These men are experienced and trustworthy. We will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to others needing electrical work!

Installation went great. Very professional. David and associate were especially nice enough to install a few receptacles after a full day installing the electrical panel.

Dave Rittner is among the very best contractors of any trade/profession that I have used during the 12 years I have lived in this area. Proposal: Dave?s proposal was clear and concise with a description of the work to be done, an itemized cost for each element of the project, and the terms of the contract. He also provided proof of insurance information with the proposal. Professionalism: During the estimate Dave clearly explained the work to be done and the projected amount of time it would take. He patiently answered all my questions both during the estimate phase and actual work. Dave contacted us prior to the work date to confirm that necessary third party coordination had been completed with both the electric company and inspectors. He also called the day before the project date to confirm our appointment and to verify his arrival time. Dave and his employee arrived on time, showed respect for our home during the work, completely cleaned up after the job was finished and checked to be sure we were satisfied with his work. Quality of work: All work was done to complete satisfaction and in a timely manner. Dave completed all necessary coordination for disconnection and reconnection of electric service and required third party inspections. He or his employee tested every item they repaired or installed to ensure proper functioning. Dave worked the job along with his employee and checked the employee?s work to ensure proper completion of all aspects of the project. Cost: Costs were well within the expected range and reasonable for the amount and type of work done. Summary: Dave was easy and pleasant to work with throughout the project. He did quality work at a reasonable cost and in a professional manner. I would hire Rittner?s Electric again and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs residential electrical work done.
