 + 6 moreMarc was recommended to me by a friend who happened to be Marc's neighbor. I did get a total of 3 quotes. The other two kitchen companies had limited choices. Marc was very professional and patient with me. It took awhile to make some of my choices and then I kept changing things up until the cabinets were ordered. Marc was kind enough to leave my sink and stove hooked up all but one night. I really appreciated that. He put plastic up covering the entrances into the kitchen to keep as much dust as possible out of the living room. At the end of the each day, he cleaned everything up and shop vac the floor. It only took about one month to finish. Marc did come back to put up my backsplash after I finally decided on it. So now it's completely done and I love it. It was worth all the shopping around. I would recommend Marc to anyone. The initial quote was very close to what I paid. I did add a few things to his list, such as installing a new door and putting up new shutters.
Description of Work: Installed new door, put up shutters, redid kitchen including ripping up old floor, removing soffet and 2 partial walls, painting and installing 2 ceiling fans.

He took time to review what each project would require for proper completion and then followed through in a timely manner. He also cleaned up his work area. I will definitely use his services again.
Description of Work: Hung two (2) large pieces of artwork (one of which was a framed piece of stained glass), bolted a shelf to cast iron brackets and then hung the shelf, hung a wall clock.

 + -1 moreMarc Matesich did very high quality work. He also suggested multiple options for the job, all of which were good ideas. The job we chose included replacing a shower stall (which involved building a small new wall and padding two existing walls to make the new shower fit perfectly), replacing a linoleum floor with porcelain tile, a new commode, a new vanity (required moving a supply pipe) and mirror, and installing a heated towel rack. Everything painted nicely at the end. We are fully satisfied and will call Marc for future jobs.

 + 0 moreWe hope that this is the solution to our water problem. (We need a rain storm to see what happens.) Marc did all that he could. I am sure that if there is still a leak, all I will have to do is call him and he will try his utmost to fix it.
Description of Work: Marc fixed our gutter that had been leaking down our siding and into the basement. Please note, we had Four Seasons Sunrooms out before to fix this and their solution was to caulk. Four Seasons installed our sunroom and caused the whole problem in the first place. Marc was efficient. He was prompt in his service. He was very professional. He came and looked at the problem himself. He gave an estimate. He was great!

That was Tuesday & he performed all of the work on Thursday. He did an excellent job on installing the shutters. He replaced the rotted wood underneath door with a piece of white PVC board. He then sealed up the holes & caulked. It really looks nice.

Marc was also very helpful in assisting a friend who had to get me out of the house for a doctor's appointment before the ramp was completed. I have used Marc before and remain very pleased with his work, demeanor, and price. He is easy to communicate with and promptly replies to messages, either by phone or email.
Description of Work: Marc built an ADA ramp, installed railings, replaced light switches, installed roman shades, repaired flashing, and installed a screen.

 + 0 moreI contacted Mark to come out and give me a quote on remounting 2 gates attached to a wooden fence surrounding a pool. I also wanted him to give me a quote on sealing up a basement window which was outside of a finished basement. He came out at the time agreed to and within a few days sent me a quote to perform both tasks. For remounting the gates he provided two options to choose from. We set up a time for him to come out & do the work. He did the job without me being home so I did not have to take off work. My fence gates work as well as they did when they were new. He also did a great job sealing up my basement window. Very pleased with the work done. Would definitely use him again in the future.
Description of Work: I have two gates attached to a wood fence surrounding a pool which were sagging and needed to be remounted. Also had a basement window outside of a finished basement which I wanted to have sealed up.

 + 0 moreHe showed up at the disignated time, he was very proffesional and pleasant. He worked steady for 8 hours only taking a short lunch break. He asked me where I wanted the wall unit mounted to the wall and talked to me of how he was going to do it.His work was quality work. I would deffently use his services again and I plan to. I am putting together a list of small projects - like hanging new doors throughout the house, and once I have a list of everything I want done I will be contacting Marc. If you are looking for the cheapest labor Marc is not it, but if you want excellent work for a fair price I have no problem recomeding him.
Description of Work: I had a very large12 piece entertainment center/wall unit mounted on the wall, Cable tV jack moved, holes drilled to accomidate wires, garbage disposal installed, electrical switch replaced, large ceiling light/fan replaced and new one installed. He had to cut out a portion of the baseboard to accommidate the large unit.

 + -1 moreIt was a very smooth process. Marc came to my house to see what needed to be done, then e-mailed an estimate. He did the actual work within about a month. The dryer venting was a mess and probably a fire risk. He completely installed new venting from the dryer to the outside of the house. It looks much better and safer. He replaced a vent cap on the outside of the house and installed a blackboard on a cabinet in my kitchen.I definitely plan on hiring Marc for other work at my house in the future. He pays attention to detail and does a beautiful job.

 + 1 moreContacted Marc mostly via email and then when the date was closer he called my house phone. I actually don't know if Marc's price was appropriate or too high as we only checked angie's list for his performance ratings and were more worried about good work than the price. that is the reason I gave him a fair price rating...wasn't sure if we could have found this work cheaper but didn't investigate either.
Description of Work: Our daughter needed her huge closet redone...she needed a clothes hanging bar and I wanted little side shelves. Marc suggested shelving above the clothes bar, suggested two 6 feet poles so she would have the optimum space for clothes and between his ideas and my overall view, it now looks AWESOME. I asked for a revised quote for my initial request for a new closet plus two folding doors to be adjusted or re-hung when I was able to fix one myself, he resent me a quote in a timely manner and stuck to that price when he was complete. Marc was professional, on time, thorough, had me check the progress acouple times before he was even thru, vaacummed up his wood shavings and even shovels some snow that was infront of my front door so he could safely use his electrical saw:) We are in the process of scheduling Marc in the spring for a garage doors wooden boarder that has rotted. Marc is an honest man with polite and respectful mannerisms. He layed a cloth down at my front door to not track dust and dirt up my stairs where he was working:) I found my new handyman:)
