James was fantastic! Not only did he take the time to demonstrate the lighting units to give us an idea of what things would look like, but he provided recommendations for features we would never have thought of, but are SO GLAD we took his recommendations! We now have wonderful new recessed LED kitchen ceiling lights, outlets with USB charging ports, and new outlets above our kitchen cabinets where we can plug in colored LED light strips, Christmas lights, etc. We were thrilled with JG Electric and would highly recommend James

Saw James doing some work down the street from my house and asked him to come over and work up a plan and quote to install recessed lights in our kitchen (9) and family room (4). He assessed the situation, asked lots of questions about needs and design, explained and demoed light casting in the rooms, and came back a few days later with a fair proposal. A few weeks later, James and his assistant came by to do the work spread across a day and half. They removed our existing track lighting, ran new wiring, installed the lights, and set the color temperature to our liking. Patched up notch work and left the house as clean as they found it. James is very respectable, personable, and agreeable to deal with. Would definitely hire again for electrical work in the future.

They did an excellent job. This was a very, very stressful situation for me. I had antiquated equipment from 1974 that was very dangerous and could cause a fire or loss of power at any moment. Being on a tight budget, it took a while to get the money for this. The cost was fair the work was quickly and expertly done. JG Electric definitely took the stress out of situation and I'm very happy with the results. I will be hiring again for my inside work.

Everything went great - James is a electrical genius - on top of that, he just knew the look I was going for and everything turned out perfect. He gets extra points for crawling around the attic on a 100 degree day to find where the fan exhaust was at, and cleaning it out, it was stuffed with insulation. ( I never knew the fan actually did anything but make a lot of noise) Now, it acts more like a real fan... who knew?? James will definitely be getting a call from us when we start the second bathroom.

JG Electric was very prompt in responding to my initial inquiry via Angie's List. James came out within a few days to give me an estimate for installing a new bathroom exhaust fan. He also recommended a recessed light above our shower, which has worked great since it was installed. His pricing was very straightforward and reasonable. He used a top quality exhaust fan that is extremely quiet and moves a ton of air. Our bathroom walls used to be soaking wet after even a brief shower; now there is no moisture on the walls whatsoever after finishing up in the shower. James provided before and after photos of the work he completed as well, which was a nice touch. Would definitely use James again to complete electrical work--he was very personable, prompt, and honest.

Amazing work. JG Electric goes above and beyond the required work at a very competitive price. Tech finished everything, worked late to finish in one day, and even fixed small things he seen were out of place that were not on the invoice. Also made recommendations, was very informative showing you exactly what is wrong instead of just making "recommendations" to make money. Not only would I recommend, but hiring again to replace my panel to a 200 AMP system.

We had an array of weird electrical issues, lights upstairs wouldn't work and outlets on the main floor wouldn't work. There was also a breaker that was tripped and wouldn't reset. We originally tried to go through our home warranty, but that didn't work. We called JG Electric and everything went much smoother. Just speaking over the phone, we had confidence in their ability to correct our issues. We had already discussed ballpark costs so we knew what to expect. James came out on a Sunday to take a look and get everything working. In less than 2 hours he had diagnosed the issues and got everything working again. While he corrected our known problem, he also handled a few unknowns that came up along the way. He was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He explained the issues to us in a clear and easy to understand way. We will absolutely call JG Electric if we have any electrical issues in the future.

James told that wasn't necessary and he address the problem in the garage. He corrected the problem. I'm very pleased to what he did and his honesty. Gave us 10 percent discount. Response faster than the others.

Very well. We call him whenever we need electrical work done. He previously installed seven recessed lights in our kitchen, hall closet and ceiling lights in our basement for much needed light. We know we can trust James to do a good job.

It went quite well...better than ever anticipated. He replaced the ceiling light fixture with an LED fixture, providing much more needed light, covering a broader area in my kitchen. Compliments the decor. Since he was here, I requested he check my powder room ceiling fan for a rattling noise. He checked it out, disconnected, removed, cleaned and serviced the ceiling fan. It was really cruddy inside. Another problem solved. At my request, he checked the sockets in two of my lamps. One was not serviceable. The other he fixed and it's now working. Additionally, he noticed the outlet I had the working lamp plugged into was unusually loose. He replaced it as well, along with a new face plate, at a reduced rate. As an added courtesy, he also checked my main electrical panel which really needs to replaced and updated to current codes. He provided info on what was needed as well as a quote for all the necessary work. All I can say is, he is very thorough and explained everything that was done and everything that needs addressed for the future. I highly recommend his business. Pricing considerably less than I'd expected, with quality way more than I'd anticipated. Great job!

It went well... just an older home and finding a ground was difficult but James did a great job which brought the older home up to code so it could be sold. Thanks James.

Great as always. James is the only one we call for our electrical needs. He is quick to respond to our calls, is on time for appointments, cleans up everything when he is finished, his pricing is fair and he uses quality materials. We know we will be pleased with his work when it is completed.

This was the best telephone call I ever made to hire someone to work in our home. I called James and he answered his phone which was already a plus. We scheduled a day and time for him to come out to review the electrical work neded done. He gave us a price and when the work was finished, the price remained the same. He didn't turn the house upside down and he cleaned up when he was finished. He uses high quality materials, charged a fair price and had great ideas for improving the light in our home. We will be calling him again soon.
