Very well! Dave B was very professional and thorough, including the cleanup. He fixed/replaced everything I asked him to, and didn't try to "oversell" me for something I didn't really need. CPH is a little pricey but I feel that the great work and peace of mind are worth it.
Description of Work: 1) Water leak under a bathtub; 2) New faucet insert for same bathtub; 3) New shutoff valves at washer/drier.

They were very nice. Their pricing is average. The quality is very good. Responsiveness is very good. They called and let me know they were coming and how long it would be like 15 or 20 minutes.
Description of Work: They fixed the bathroom toilet. The lever was broke and they fixed it.

They were very professional. Did not try to sell us a new humidifier, but replaced the part that was the problem. We felt that the fee was reasonable and therefore we would have them again. We took advantage of the Angie's List promotional fee of $79.00 for the inspection. That is how we met these folks.
Description of Work: We called to see what was wrong with our humidifier and also to do an annual inspection of our furnace and air conditioner.

Everything went very smoothly, my husband met them on Monday afternoon to install the part. Everything was charged to my credit card over the phone-saving me from having to meet the technician.
Description of Work: A circuit board went out on a furnace in one of my apartments (On a Saturday). The technician on call responded quickly to my call and met my tenant at the property. They quickly diagnosed the issue and unfortunately had to order a new circuit board-which thankfully came on Monday. Everything was performed quickly and professionally.

In the end, everything turned out fine, it just took too much time. I did not like the deal. He did not know how to install and he had to keep calling his boss. I probably won’t use again.
Description of Work: I purchased a deal for $109 for 2 hours of plumbing labor. He was working on my dishwasher. He charged me additional since he took so much time.

They were friendly and prompt and professional. My husband was originally upset because the taps didn't do temperature and water volume separately in our showers. But, he's used to it now and they work well. I also was impressed that they noted a problem with our relatively new water heater, and were gracious when we told them that we had a whole house insurance that meant that we needed to use another firm (one recommended/sent by the insurer) to do that work. If I could have chosen them to do the work, I would have.
Description of Work: They put in balance taps in all 4 of our shower/bath showers in the home. And, while they were at it, we had them put in shut off values for all those taps, and had them replace the tap in our garden tub.

The initial work was fine. They were punctual, did everything we asked. They sold us on some extra work that would help keep some of our bills down. All fine. It's been about a year now, and we have noticed that the dryer hose that they replaced has broken. The dryer hose runs down into the basement, along the wall, and then out of the house. Two pieces of pipe have disconnected from each other, leaving one of the pipes hanging low, and the other is pumping the hot air right into the basement room, and leaving little pieces of dryer lint on the floor. Okay, this can happen - I accept that. I call them and explain what happened and asked for someone to look at it. They say they can come the next day, and that it will be $140 just to come out, and then some flat fee on top of that to do the work.... I asked for a discount because it was their work that had failed. She goes off to ask her manager, and comes back and explains that because there is no warranty they can't give me any sort of discount. What HORRIBLE customer service. They clearly do not stand by their work and I'm really disappointed. I will never be using them again.
Description of Work: We had just bought our house and they did a number of things for us just before we moved in, including replacing our white flex dryer hose for hard piping. The dry hose portion of the job cost $486.

Cocalico's was prompt, professional and honest, as I said when working with them before. I'm sure I will use them again in the near future. I use Cocalico's for my rental property so I have had to communicate with the staff in the office. Both Marcie and Regina have been very helpful and professional. You have made managing the property much easier!

Furnace was not centered. Pipe was installed on wrong side so that exhaust could not be centered. Pumped old fuel into new tank thus causing a sludge that kept fouling nozzles. Did not wipe flux from pipes causing pitting. BBB complaint entered as well. they chose to ignore it.

Have been a customer for three years. Signed up for a one year maintenance plan when they replaced my water heater in 2012. Went to change out the filter in my HVAC system the other day and found none in there. CPH was the last one to touch it. Spoke with a rep who couldn't get over the fact that I had not changed the filter in over a year. I get it, my bad. They could not/would not see the point that the service I paid for was not completed. They wouldn't even offer to comp me the $7 for the filter I paid for that was never replaced. Will never use these greedy p***** again.

I was fortunate enough to have 2 plumbers working on both items at the same time. They were very friendly, and provided me with information about my home that I would not have known otherwise simply because they have worked on many homes in the development. I had a 2 hour coupon discount that I used and all the costs were spelled out. When they took a little more time get a tool they needed, they told me not to worry about any extra charges as I pay for the time they are working. (One of the trucks was in the garage so that's why there were 2 guys on site.) They were very helpful. When we redo our basement, we plan on getting a quote from them to do the work. I highly recommend them as my interactions from the person answering the phone to the plumbers onsite, I found to be trustworthy and honest. I have had no issues with their work. Very friendly and a job well done.
Description of Work: Fixed the leaking shower -- turns out the temperature in the knob was bad and they discovered that the builder had installed It upside down. Fixed perfectly. I also had them completely redo the pipework underneath the kitchen sink because it just would not stop leaking either. They were also able to provide some background about the piping in our home which was good to know. Many people in our neighborhood use them.

They worked out very well, it was a good deal. He makes sure that everything was checked. The plumber that they had was a topnotch and added another service so it was good. The service was very quick and so it was excellent and I had no problem.

It was good. They accepted the coupon. There was a service call charge but they had discussed that with me upfront. There were no hidden charges. I didn't have anything bad to say. They were on time. Time wasn't an issue. They didn't try and hurry or try to drag it out. They were professional. They wore booties every time they came in and out of the house. I felt so bad for the plumbers because they had to crawl facing the snow.

I was very happy, with a job well done. I'm planning on using Cocalico this coming April, to replace my home's A/C unit. And I'm confidant I will get the same good service.

Contact with CPH was made by phone - courteous, responsive service. I was quickly given an approximate time of service (a 2-hour window) and asked if the technician could come earlier if available (with an advance phone call) - I consented. Technician called about 45 minutes early, asked if he could arrive about 15 minutes ahead of window (I consented). He arrived as indicated. Technician listened to the symptoms I described, asked several questions, and advised a couple possible diagnoses he would check. I showed him the locations of my pressure tank, breakers for my well pump, etc. He asked about history of service. He checked the pressure switch at the pressure tank, manually activated it resulting in water pressure (which was the original problem). He offered his assessment of the entire system and gave me a couple service options (the "minimum" and the "long-term"). He described the need for eventual replacement of a number of components and described how CPH would slightly re-locate those components in order to improve system effectiveness. I chose the "minimum" option, but do believe I will eventually (within a few years) need to do the "long-term" work. The Technician then proceeded to do the work, taking care not to "mess up" my home (despite its less-than-pristine condition to begin!). He re-thought one other item he had originally pointed out, suggesting I get a new pressure gauge installed to make it easier for me to keep an eye on system performance (that was originally in the "long-term" category). I accepted his suggestion. He then changed a broken freeze-proof faucet. I had already purchased one, and figured I would ask him to install it if he completed the first service in less than the 2 hours covered by the Angie's List deal. He tried to use the faucet I had purchased (indicating I would need to sign a release stating that CPH would not be responsible for a material failure of the component I had supplied). Unfortunately, the faucet I bought would not fit properly, so I asked him to supply one that would fit with less effort. He completed the work within a reasonable time, carefully explaining to me everything he was doing. The hourly rate for CPH seems a little high to me (he did go over the 2 hours slightly), but the quality of work is very good and the service is excellent. I have used CPH in the past for HVAC work (and maybe for some plumbing), and will continue to do so in the future. I would recommend CPH for residential HVAC or plumbing work (cannot speak to their other services).
