I called this service twice and after several weeks the man's wife left a message essentially telling me that she and her husband were very unorganized, but if I still wanted an estimate they could do so. Because a coworker had recommended, I did call back and said, yes, please come for an estimate, Never heard anything back. They must not need business. I took the referral card down at work. What goes around eventually comes around.
Description of Work: A co-worker posted his card on a bulletin board at work. I called to ask for painting services.

This is the contractor who painted my new home. They were hired by the builder. I have never seen professionally painted or even home owner painted walls in such horrible shape. The walls were not prepped or sanded properly prior to painting . I paid extra for NO VOC paint and primer to be used in the house, but the house air quality test we had done tested highly positive for paint VOC's. I have not been able to get proof one way or the other (even though I have asked numerous times) as to what products were actually used so we are going to have to have them professionally tested. Every time I ask the builder to provide proof of product I get ignored. I also paid the extra to have the type of paint I wanted so that it was easily washable as standard matte paint is not. I was told they would then have to use primer (which I paid a lot extra to have done) to make sure it looked nice and yet because they refused to prepare the walls first they still are not easily washable and they look awful. I have never seen such an unprofessional looking job. The results: 1. Most of the walls were not prepped first. We paid a significant amount extra for primer and it seems this meant to the builder/painter they then did not have to adequately prepare the walls. 2. Large areas of wall that were not sanded first so primer and paint is rough to the touch instead of having a smooth finish. These areas are very visible. 3. Large areas of wall were not even painted or just skimmed over so you can see the primer through the coat of paint. There are huge white patches throughout the house. 4. Many areas have chunks of debris in them that the painter just left there. These were due either to the lack of prep to the wall or dirt from the paint brush/sprayer. Of course if you try to remove the chunks there are then white patches on the wall. 5. The painter was paid extra to use a very specific brand of paint and primer. While we have gotten receipt proof the proper paint was used we are still waiting (months later) for proof of the type of primer that was used. Either way we did not get at all what we paid for. We could have done a better job ourselves.
Description of Work: The provider was contracted through my builder to paint my entire house with the very specific paint and primer I asked for. I was assured they would use the proper paint and as they are professionals hired by my builder would assume they knew what they were doing and knew how to prep and paint a wall properly. This does not seem to be the case and my house looks terrible.
