+ -1 morebob was punctual/professional in giving estimate and in preparing and signing contract, as well as coming to pick up deposit check of $2200.00 on July 18, 2007 with work to begin in 2 to 3 wks. he told us lumber would be delivered following week and he would be here to dig holes and pour cement for supports for deck. lumber never arrived and neither did he. he never returned our calls. we left several messages on his answering machine. finally, my husband sent him a letter, to which he did respond saying that he had been ill and was in the hospital and that one of his workers stole $1500.00 from him and took off with his cell phone. Bob took no responsibility for not showing up nor did he offer to give us our deposit back. He is supposed to start work on August 30th at 8:00am; will follow up with report as to whether or not he shows up.
Description of Work: No work was performed yet. Bob never showed up to do the work. He was hired to tear down our old back porch and steps and build a 12x20 deck. Also, to do some repair work on siding and on a few windows for a total cost of $4400.00.
