+ 1 moreHe: 1) arrived when he said he would, 2) finished when he projected he would, 3) provided me with a detailed, itemized estimate and did not deviate from the estimate, 4) did a very good job rebuilding the roof on my porch, 5) cleaned up when he was finished, 6) told me if anything went wrong, just let him know and he would fix it.

+ 4 moreI happily refer to him as St. Joseph’s carpenter, as I am a Sister of St. Joseph and he is doing such great work. With all of his work, he has gladly rebuilt anything that was not up to standard. He has the two most essential qualities that anyone would need to be an excellent master of all trades: he has the expertise that comes from forty five years of experience, and he has impeccable honesty. He charges fair and reasonable prices, uses quality materials, is true to his word, and shows up or calls exactly when he says he will. He can economize to the customer’s benefit. As an added extra, he is affable in manner and a pleasure to work with. He has given great advice for my projects and has an artistic eye for design and details. The only fault he has is leaving Baton Rouge for Florida so that I can no longer rely on him for all my needs. He absolutely has my highest recommendation.
Description of Work: Eric has done large, medium and small jobs for us over the span of at least six months. He has rebuilt our front steps to allow for a shallow rise that is easier to climb; he has used a clever design to add a second set of steps in a tight space to allow us to access the front porch under cover while it is raining; he has replaced wall to wall carpeting with laminate flooring; he has repainted trim around 20 windows and carports and the front door outside, which was quite a job in itself. He has installed a new toilet; he has installed a post and lifted a chain link gate to lock in our back yard, and replaced the old interior-style door with a new exterior door to the yard. In the yard he has installed a self-regulating water system, built a flagpole, and built a raised bed and window boxes for our plants. He has installed lock bolts on the back doors, secured our television sets to prevent theft, changed outdoor sensors and interior outlets for our electric work, mounted a new fire extinguisher, and even hung something in the garage to help me park in the exact right spot.

+ -1 moreHe arrived exactly on time at 8:30 am. He had all of the tools and materials ready to do the job.He was very professional while performing the work, then cleaned up any mess afterwards. He even gave me the leftover wood and paint that was used to do this job. He said that since I paid for it, I should have the option to keep it, so I did. I would highly recommend Eric to anyone needing work done around the house. He said he also does commercial work as well. My wife is a District Manager for a fast-food chain and she is going to let him do some maintenance work for her company. I am definitely going to use him again!
Description of Work: Repaired a section of the soffit on the side of my house.
