April of 2020 I contacted Quick Kleen to complete a carpet removal and refinish hardwood floors. I spoke with Jeannette, she took my information and stated another individual would contact me regarding prices. Later in the day I received a call from Ray. He asked the dimensions of the room and what we were looking for. I explained the carpet and padding would need removed - we were saving the carpet and then the floors would need finished. Ray explain that we had two options a stripping and a coat of polyurethane or a sanding and polyurethane which would cost more. Ray also stated that we would not know until we removed everything what process we needed. He also explained if we needed the floors sanded and that process we would need to reschedule for another date due to a different team being needed. I thanked him and said we would move forward and schedule. Jeannette called me back and we scheduled for April 24th. On April 22nd I received a call from Jeannette asking to reschedule. We rescheduled for May 6th. On May 4th I contacted Quick Kleen to check on a time for May 6th. I spoke with Ray and he said that they only had a team scheduled to complete the stripping and polyurethane process that I would have to have the carpet and everything removed first. I advised that we cleaned out the living room already and the process needed completed as I was scheduled for. Ray called me back and said they had a team and would be able to do both. At 10:20 a team of 3 arrived at my house. I was not introduced to anyone; one gentleman started tearing up the carpet (atleast halfway into the room) and padding and showed there was paint on it. He stated that the floors would need sanded down. I said ok I will call the office to schedule that step. The other gentleman stated they dont do that service anymore I would have to find someone else AND because I was not getting everything done the cost was going up. I told him that was not what I was told I was given the option between 2 different packages and obviously we needed to wait until the carpet was up before deciding on which one. He argued with me that they do not offer floor refinishing anymore and I would need to pay the full amount but he would check with the office. I had no choice but to have them finish taking up the carpet because they already pulled 1/2 of the carpet and padding. He went and sat in the car almost the entire time on a conference call the other two work. He came in and gave me the receipt and a pamphlet i opened the pamphlet and showed him where it said hardwood refinishing and he said again they dont do that anymore. The one gentleman - Ed was trying to clean up - Ray yelled at him and told him to stop that is an extra fee. After they left I swept up the mess and found staples and nails all through the floor. I contacted the office and spoke with Lynn. Lynn told me that they gave me incorrect information they still do floor refinishing and that is what I was scheduled for. She also told me that removing the staples and nails was part of the process of taking up the carpet and tack strips. She advised me she would reach out to someone and have them call me to get the work completed. I received a call from Ray Wojcik - he stated that he was at the house and he was a part owner. He said that removing nails and staples is not part of the service that is extra AND he told me he didnt want to do the job today but I forced them to. He was EXTREMELY rude screaming and yelling at me not letting me talk. He told me that he talked to me every time and he knows what he told me and I got a better deal with what they did. He stated they normally cut down the carpet and padding for the garbage but because I wanted it saved they carried it to the garage and that should be extra. (The padding is also in one large piece sitting in my garage). He refused to send anyone out to take the nails and staples out and said "Be happy with what you got I told you I didn't want to do it or be there." He then started swearing at me and I disconnected the call. I have a one year old and other children and now I have to hire another company to come out and finish the job - the living room furniture is in the dining room. You have to go through the living room to get upstairs and now the livingroom is unusable. with a 1yr old who is walking he now needs contained in a bedroom so he does not get hurt. This is completely unacceptable There website also states they complete hardwood floor refinishing but refused to do anything with ours. The first two photo is how the room was left. The others show all the nails and staples after I cleaned the floor.

Hi, Folks - Do NOT waste your time on Quick-Kleen. They haven't changed! I had a terrible service call with your company earlier today. I should have gotten the guys name. I will not even refer to him as a gentleman because he was nothing of the sort. He was rude, interrupted me, talked over me, would not shut his mouth to listen to a word that I had to say. He really needs to be trained in customer service as he has, not 1 skill, in customer service. If I owned this company, I'd be completely embarrassed that I have someone like him working for me. I wonder if he ever heard that he represents the company when he is on the phone with a customer. He certainly did a poor job at representing your company. I wonder if he was ever trained on listening skills which is imperative when dealing with customers. He told me that I called him a liar when I never would have said such a thing. Why would I ever call a measly customer service representative a liar? I am so much more educated than that. He told me that I had a problem with my phone because your company was trying to call my all morning. My phone never rang. He also said that your company left several voice message on my phone which is completely impossible. My voice mail box is full. No one can leave a message. I'd love to see your outgoing phone transactions to actually see how many times that I was really called. Now I understand why they are not part of the Better Business Bureau. Angie - they are making you look extremely horrible and damaging your reputation. You need to remove them from your list. I cancelled their service and so happy that I did. Quick Kleen is completely low class and uneducated. Completely unsatisfied.

We were told they would match the groupon which was $59.00. We were also told they would call 30 minutes prior to arrival. They called 10 minutes prior and the man very rudely said he wouldn't wait. We were charged additional fees of $90.00 which should been included in the groupon, our total bill was $161.00. After many attempts to contact them the man finally called was very rude on the phone. He stated he did not return calls because he was insulted. He was yelling and rude and would not refund our overcharges. I would not recommend them not only because of the up charges but they are very rude.

Description of Work: 4 rooms and a hallway of painting ceilings and walls. Quick, on time, professional but personable, careful and clean. I had used them 6 years ago when I moved in; they painted my basement and cold cellar. Glad I remembered and called for an estimate because they were ONE HALF THE PRICE of another estimate I had received for the same work! They also do floors which I hope to have done in the future.

If I could give 0 stars I would, but I want to make sure this review is read. To start Quick Kleen gives a window of 4 hours and arrived approximately 3 minutes before the window closed. As soon as the workers came in the house they wanted to upsell for shampooing. I have my carpets cleaned every 6 months and they were NOT in need of that--BUT WAIT IT GETS SO MUCH WORSE! My daughter and her children ages 7 and 1 offered to wait for them since I had to work. One of the workers was sleeping in the beat up white van covered in rust while the other 2 were inside. My daughter questioned their professionalism and called me concerned. I phoned the number I got off of Groupon, because each time these people called me it was from a restricted number. And never left a return number. (Questionable??) and told the supervisor my daughter's concerns about the sleeping worker. He said, he was on light duty because he just got out of the hospital and wasn't sleeping, he just couldn't work. I explained that I would be home in 5 minutes and would discuss the shampooing with the worker's in the home. He said that was fine and would have them hold off until I got there. I no sooner hung up and my daughter called me again, stating the sleeping guy from the van came in asking "where's that girl, she told her mom on me". He then abruptly started berating my daughter actually calling her a "stanky B***" -and that IS A QUOTE!! He called her that several times. This is while she was holding her 1 year old and the 7 year old stood by and watched this happening to her mother. And said they were leaving because we were trying to run a scam and get services and not pay for them. (I already had the check filled out and ready to go). I witnessed this man screaming at my daughter (with granddaughters in toe) as I pulled in. I got out of the car and told them to leave my home. I promptly called 911 and filed a police report complete with descriptions of all 3 workers. When they were packing as I pulled in, the pot-bellied bald "leader" of the group said I would have to work out what I owe them because they were sending my account to collections. There is a police report filed with the Manor Borough Police Department if any person would like access to this, please contact them. I will give permission. I would feel awful if this would happen to another woman alone in her home thinking that these people are trustworthy. They are vicious and mean and obviously preyed on a young mother and her children. By the way, what they used was exactly what you can get from any Giant Eagle for $30. They did an awful job and the carpets were soaking wet where they did attempt to use. They finished 3 bedrooms and stairs in less than 10 minutes. When I told these people I would be posting a review, they said that I better be careful, because slander will cost me a ton in court costs!!!! Clearly, they've encountered this before.

Awful experience. I purchased a Groupon for $59 for 5 rooms of steam cleaning. First of all, when I made the appointment, they marked the Groupon as redeemed--- so when they showed up for my appointment, the Groupon voucher was marked as invalid. They tried to sell me another Groupon at the same price on the spot! Uh, NO THANKS! I called Groupon to get it sorted out, and they confirmed that Quick Kleen had marked it as redeemed upon making the appointment, as opposed to at the time of the appointment. Next, they wanted extra for fees/taxes. Okay, no problem. Only they only took cash--- nobody could tell me that over the phone so I was prepared? I scrounged around for the $12.53, but what am I supposed to do if I didn't happen to have the cash on hand, run to the ATM with a steam cleaning crew left alone at my place? They continually tried to upsell and uncharge me. I'd just made homemade fruit preserves, and one of the cleaners almost knocked over all of the jars... not even a sorry! They knocked over a plant, leaving dirt on the floor. What kind of steam cleaning company leaves the floors dirtier than when they came? All in all, they were here less than 45 minutes, and from all accounts it seems like all they did was wet the carpets and leave. Never, ever, ever again. Then, to top things off, when I complained via email about the poor experienced, I received a downright RUDE email response, accusing me of lying and calling me desperate. They completely ignored the issues of poor service, not cleaning properly, and knocking things over... and attempted to make it seem as if I was only upset about a lousy $12. Response below: "Hi Melissa, I'm sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your experience. Quick-Kleen does NOT mark your voucher as redeemed when you schedule your appointment, because we don't have your voucher number at the time of scheduling. After speaking to our crew and to the representative that you spoke to at Groupon, I was surprised to learn that Groupon told you that YOU must have accidentally marked your own voucher as redeemed. And then, you even said this to one of our reps and your husband immediately when you got off the phone with Groupon. Why would you deliberately lie on this email and twist the truth. What were you really unhappy about? Is it that you had to pay the tax and you didn't have the money on hand to pay this small amount? Really? You really should be ashamed of yourself to write such an email. You are right about one thing in your email --- Never, ever, ever again. We're not that desperate as you seem to be! Thanks anyways,Carol MorrisonCustomerService@Quick-Kleen.com" I've never experienced such poor customer service. To be accused of lying (when in fact their staff is lying--- Groupon never said that I marked the voucher as redeemed) is appalling. And to be called "desperate"?! Terrible, terrible company.

[Member Name Removed] is the type of customer that no company would want. She had threatened to write negative reviews if we didn't give her a refund after the work was completed. Also, the work order contract was signed that "the work was satisfactorily completed". At no time during the job was anything knocked over -- utter lies! If she was not satisfied with the service provided, why would our Work Order Contract be signed that "the work was satisfactorily completed"? She waited until the crew was finished and left her home before she contacted us for a refund. The problem is she never spent one penny directly with Quick-Kleen to give her any sort of refund. She purchased a Groupon from Groupon. In fact, she was so upset about having to pay the tax on the Groupon that she actually paid the tax with nickles, dimes and pennies. $12.53 in nickles, dimes and pennies! Who does that? A desperate customer that Quick-Kleen does not want. If you have to break open your piggy-bank just to pay the tax, you probably should not be spending money to get this done in the first place. She also wrote negative reviews on other sites that have since been removed by those sites as unreliable. Maybe that means she's done this to other companies also. Please be cautious to provide any type of service to her and cover your tracks. She will try to get over on you --- guaranteed!

It's very unusual for a customer to wait almost two years later to post a negative review. After looking up the order form for [member name removed], it is clear that her post is unfair and inaccurate. First of all, she states that she wanted the steps done and she claims that we did not do them. That is a lie. Her order form states that she did get 10 steps pressure washed and stained and the cost for these steps were $75.00. The total cost for pressure washing and staining her deck, 10 steps, 43 spindles and 4 support beams was $294.80 including the tax. It doesn't sound to me that is was so expensive as she claims in her complaint. Also, the fact that she is complaining at all is surprising because she did not have this job done at her own house but at a different address AND she never called to register a complaint with our company since the work was completed in 2013. And now, out of the blue, she posts a complaint on Angie's List in 2015. How valid is this woman's complaint? We would be happy to post a copy of the Work Order Contract stating these facts. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond to these lies.

The cost was actually $123 because I had a Living Social Deal. I checked on Angies List and they had a B with no reviews for power washing. I should have guessed. I got a call the day after I called and Ray and Jeff came the next day to give an estimate. They were prompt and gracious. Ray seemed to think the B on Angies List was pretty good; Ray explained why the reviews for their other services were bad; always the customers fault. Again, I should have known. They arrived the next day about a half an hour late for their estimated time of 9:30 to 10. They promptly got to work. When the service was complete (about a half an hour?), Ray asked me to look at the work. He explained that power washing could not get gum, resin or grease off and I should just paint over it -- don't ask Quick Kleen for their painting or staining services! I asked if they had power-washed the other side of the porch. The answer was yes. When I went to paint that side later that day, there were intact spider webs between the rails! I think the answer was no. I would not use Quick Kleen again-- and no, it is not the customer's fault that they have a bad review!
Description of Work: Quick Kleen power washed my front porch and ramp; about 240 square feet and 99 rails.

DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!
Description of Work: I scheduled service for last Tuesday, March 5. The company called 1/2 hour before my appointment and cancelled after my husband called off from work to do this appointment so he lost a sick day. The company rescheduled (with very little availability) for today Monday, March 11. My mom was scheduled to come stay at my house during this appointment. They called Sunday night at 8 pm and cancelled again because they said the other customer in my area cancelled on them (and it wouldn't be cost efficient for them to come). So twice in a week they cancelled on me then wanted me to reschedule. Why would I reschedule (and take a sick day from work) just to risk them cancelling again? They have no appointments after 3pm or on the weekend (which I feel they should have done after cancelling on me twice). I want a refund from this groupon and this company. You should also consider cancelling them from groupon because they don't like to work with people because we get their service cheap! Very unprofessional! I even talked with them about upgrading my service but it still wasn't enough business for them. Also I did try to contact them to "fix" the problem but they just said "I'm sorry." I would have been fine if they would have scheduled the third appointment around my schedule, but I'm NOT taking off work just to have them cancel AGAIN!

I purchased a groupon for steam cleaning by Quick Kleen and had them come mid-January. The groupon was $29 and the deal was for two rooms to be steam cleaned for that price. They arrived 30 min. earlier than my appointment time, which was great, we were ready for them, and were in and out quickly. I had a three man team who were professional yet friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I was having a combo living/dining room done, which to me is one room but they said no, it's considered two. I wanted to add one bedroom to my deal, and was told it would be $39 for an additional room. However, when we were writing up my order form and receipt, the one doing that kept telling me that none of the carpets were going to come out clean UNLESS I opted for the two step procedure, which involved shampooing first and then steam cleaning on top of that. Not that I felt really pressured, but he did convince me to do the two step cleaning process in the living/dining room area, and then I decided to simply have the bedroom steam cleaned. My bill came to $87 on top of the $29 I had already paid to groupon. I have to say that the two step method truly did clean the living/dining room carpet very nicely, where the bedroom still has some areas that I can see some very slight stains, nothing drastic and it does look better than it did, but I probably should have gone with the two step method in there as well. One complaint I have is that the paint on the one wall in the bedroom is all scraped off from the nozzle on the steam cleaner and I'm going to have to get out the paint and repaint that whole area, it's unsightly. Please note: None of the carpets were as wet as others complained of. I set up a fan in the living/dining room and they were dry by the next morning. The bedroom has a ceiling fan which I ran all day and that helped it dry quickly, too. There is no mildew smell at all. So would I recommend this company? Yes, but be aware you will not just spend $29, that's only going to get them in your door. AND they don't tell you this when you book your appt, but if you want to use a credit card, you must set that up with the office beforehand so the team "can bring the correct form". It would make sense for them to carry both types of forms with them to their jobs. Because of that fact and that they needed me to pay them in cash, if I had been able to use my credit card, I might have gone with the two step method in the bedroom as well. Their loss!

We bought a Groupon for carpet cleaning from Quick Clean. They did everything they promised to do - called to set a time frame for the service when they said they would, and they showed up in the middle of the time frame given. They were polite and professional. They were careful with our furniture, and we were very pleased with the appearance of the carpet, rugs and sofa that they worked on. We had wanted to have a chair cleaned, but they recommended against doing so for fear that the dyes in the fabric could bleed and ruin the fabric. After making the initial appointment we decided to add several items, and this did not cause any problem. We don't have a lot of experience using a carpet cleaning service, but this was a good experience and we would use them again.
Description of Work: they steam-cleaned 4 rugs of varying sizes, a sofa and ottoman, and did a 2 step deep cleaning on a wall to wall carpet.

I used a Groupon for our rug cleaning. I had two rooms in which I needed the cleaning done and I had moved the furniture for them. They said they could add something that smelt great. They were very abrupt and rude when I did not want their extra services. They were here for about 45 minutes. Then the person came out and asked whether I had cash or check to pay for it but I had my debit card. They were very rude, unfriendly and unprofessional.

I think they just cleaned around the furniture without moving it. I thought their price was good. It might have been a coupon that made me try them. My problem was I did have one area where it smelt funny after and when I called them there were like just let it air out or whatever because we really don’t have a problem to come back but it didn’t make me feel really good. I thought the carpet seemed really wet after, wetter than I would have liked. This is my first time using them. I had another one before and I don’t remember having any problem with that. The carpets got better but I don’t think I’ll do that again. I will not use them again in the future I think I will try somebody else to do. They were pleasant enough and everything but I wasn’t real happy with it. They were on time so I can’t complain about that. I was not satisfied with how wet the carpets were after. They did offer to come back but weren’t rushing and they said give it a couple of days it will get better but I didn’t feel right, probably it was not during the best time of the year either it was rainy day and not the best day to dry carpet. The smell eventually went away.

Description of Work: I had my carpets cleaned using a Living Social deal in December. The deal was for steam cleaning only so I upgraded to have the deep cleaning performed only on 2 rooms and the hallway & steps were just to be steam cleaned. The 1st thing is the deep cleaning didnt do any more than the steam cleaning. 2nd when the men left the carpets were left sopping wet, not just damp but totally sopping wet. The men told me to put down sheets to sop up the water, which I did. Well the sheets sopped up dirty water. I have had my caprets professionally cleaned before and I understand the carpets are damp but not supposed to be this wet. Also in the past the cleaning company went over and over the carpets until they were sucking up clean water, clearly this company did not do that. The house actually smelled like moldy water when they left. I have worse stains now on my caprets than before they came. Also I removed everything from dressers etc. and the men didnt move ONE piece of furniture! I put items I removed into the bathtub (as I live in a small house and not alot of storage space) and the men used the bathtub to fill their machines and didnt bother to move the bins out of the way. I lost an entire bin of wrapping paper and a down comforter! I emailed and left messages for the company and have had no reponse.

First of all, the customer's complaint is filled with untrue statements. We were never notified of a problem so of course, we could not respond until now. The truth is that the customer only paid $56.65 with her LivingSocial voucher, and not $200.00 as she stated. We accepted her LivingSocial voucher after her voucher was already expired. Her voucher expired in September, 2011 and we honored the voucher for the full amount three months after it already expired, which most companies would never do. We never tell the customer to place towels on the carpet to sop up the water as she stated in her complaint. We tell the customer to place towels or bedsheets on the walkways to protect the carpet from picking up dirt from shoes while it is drying. We do offer a 2 week guarantee on all of our services, and if the customer would have filed a complaint within the 2 week period, we certainly would have corrected any problems that she had. After our 2-week guarantee expires, we will send a crew back to the customers home to correct any problems with a $35.00 service fee on all carpet cleaning services. We wish she would have filed a timely complaint if she truly was not satisfied, instead of posting negative comments on any message board, without giving the company an opportunity to correct any problems. Remember, a company can not correct a problem if it not aware of the problem. Thanks for the opportunity to respond to this unfounded complaint.

They came in on the day they were scheduled to arrive. They took care of the two pieces that we had scheduled for them to do. We also added a chair that was not on their schedule and they fit that in with no problems.
Description of Work: We had someone come out and clean some of our upholstery.

I bought an online coupon (Groupon) for steam carpet cleaning that featured this company. I made an appointment and had the option of keeping the original service of steam cleaning 5 areas for $59, or having a deep cleaning done of any area for another $20 per area. My carpets were quite soiled so I elected the deep clean for all areas, plus I asked them to do the front porch indoor/outdoor carpet and some additional steps. This company called to confirm the date a few days before, and gave me a time they would be here. They showed up on time, and all I had to do was remove knick-knacks. Two men moved all furniture and took care of everything. They use a portable machine, as opposed to a truck with a hose. I was amazed at how fast they were- they did the job in an hour and 15 minutes. And my carpets were very satisfactory. I've had carpets cleaned before and I don't remember anyone else being as fast or doing as good a job. They also presented the invoice for the work up front and discussed and made price changes before they began. In short, they lived up to their name. They were quick and everything was clean. By the time I added the extra rooms and deeper cleaning, I paid a little more, but felt it was worth it.
Description of Work: Heavy-duty carpet cleaning of 6 areas: living room, dining room, 2 hallways, steps, outdoor carpet on front porch.

The walls were just OK although they were sloppy and left several patches unpainted. Although they were specifically instructed to move the washer and dryer and paint the floor beneath, they ignored my request, I didn't notice the ommision at first. When I called to complain I was told that complaints were only corrected within the first 3 weeks after the work was completed. Moreover, the floor is a complete disaster. We we told that the paint used was garage floor paint which I would expect to hold up to cleaning. Unfortunately my dog developed diarrea last month. I tried diligently to cleanup the mess. Clorox Cleanup was my first choice since it disinfects . The paint was removed along with the soiled areas in the few places I tried to clean. The original paint underneath was left intact. I then tried various other, lighter products incuding dishwashing liquid and Murphy's oil soap. Everything removed the paint except for the Murphy's oil soap. The Murphy's soap faded the paint some but did not completely remove it. This company deserves and F in every category except for punctuality!
Description of Work: The company was hired to paint the walls and floor of our basement.

Response from Quick-Kleen Home Services
We are sorry that the member was not satisfied with our service. However, we do have rules that must be followed in order to complete a job and to correct a problem. We did not ignore her request to move the washer and dryer. We explained to the member that we are able to move these appliances only if the gas and water lines are long enough to move them away from the wall. We do not not disconnect the gas and water lines as this can cause more serious problems. However, if the gas and water lines are already disconnected upon our arrival, we will gladly move and replace these appliances. The problem with the peeling paint from the floor is a result of using harsh chemicals and/or the wrong type of scrub brush on the floor when her dog had these accidents. It takes weeks, and even months for some types of paint to "cure". If harsh cleaning solutions and stiff-bristle brushes are used before the paint has cured, the paint will certainly be removed very easily. In any event, we always leave the left over paint with the customer for these types of touch-ups. If the customer does not want to repaint these small areas, we would be happy to return to repaint these areas at a service charge of only $50.00. We feel that we are very fair with every customer and we will do anything within reason to satisfy every customer. We do offer a two week guarantee on all of our services. If a complaint is filed within this two-week period, we will return (at no charge) to correct the problem. We feel this is more than enough time to report a problem. The member waited for several months to notify us of her complaint. Even now (9 months later), we would be happy to return to the member's home to repaint the areas of paint that she removed, with our normal $50.00 service fee. Please call us at 1-800-338-5344 if you would like us to return. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.
