+ -1 moreHe arrived on time. He was very personable and upbeat. He seems to like his job which is always a plus. The ants were not to be seen that day but that did not phase him. He not only sprayed and put various insecticides in the kitchen-- none of which which hampered the usual operation of the kitchen-- the amounts were very small and in specific places. Then he went outside and located the origin the ant colony and sprayed there. He took that initiative. I wouldn't have known to tell him that. And then he left. As a side note, he needed the key to get into the back yard and did it all himself re-locking the gate when he left. It was very thorough and pleasant and I would hire this provider again.

+ -1 moreThe tech showed up last summer at the house for about 45 minutes. He set out VERY small amounts (hardly noticeable) of a gel type pesticide using a syringe type applicator in about six or eight places in my home, mostly in inconspicuous corners. Then he went outside to look for a couple of places where he though from where they might be coming and treated those places. He explained what would happen and said they would be all gone within a few days. It worked! They were all gone and never had a problem since! He now returns once a quarter and retreats the outside. The services is guaranteed and works like a charm and is economical! I would recommend them for your work!!

They actually saw i had 2 other problems with carpenter ants, wasps and treated those areas as well. Very thorough and spent time around the house addressing problems. I would highly recommend and would call the company back for any future problems. Thank you Adam for coming out the same day! A very pleased customer

They were very timely in getting out there and they had a good and reasonable service. They were excellent overall but they were more expensive than everyone. The quality of their work, their responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism were excellent.

Description of Work: Bat problem in attic: Steve, company contact, made appointment at our convenience to identify the problem areas and recommend their correction solutions. Promised an estimate of cost, which was provided in a very timely manner, together with a detailed description of their action plan. Upon our acceptance of their estimate, he scheduled a return visit within a couple of days with additional personnel to initiate corrective measures. The crew removed all boxes and other items affected by bat droppings, after first vacuuming off tops of the boxes from the attic, and relocated them two stories below into the basement. Stacked everything neatly. Removed affected insulation from the rafters, bagged and removed from the house. Used HEPA filtered vacuum, as well as shop vac to remove both bat droppings and stink bugs who migrated into the attic this fall. We were given detailed descriptions of what they were doing every step of the way, and what actions would be taken in a couple of days, after the bats left the nice warm attic and were unable to get back in. The work was completed in a completely professional manner; all workers were courteous and efficient in their work. We were satified with every aspect of our association with this company.

+ -1 moreThey are rescheduled for tomorrow. We are not certain yet as to how the job turned out. We are having them come back out tomorrow because there is some residual ant infestation discovered after the initial treatment. My wife actually hired them and she was home during their first treatment session. The failure would be the carpenter ant treatment. Previously we had used one of the national companies about 2 or 3 years ago. We weren't completely satisfied with their service so we decided to try a local family owned business. That is the reason we chose Northwoods. The service was excellent. On the recall there have not been any problems with the scheduling for the return visit. So far we are happy. Their price is better than average. It is year long. There are 4 call backs included in the cost so they will be returning quarterly for the booster applications.
Description of Work: We have had Northwoods Pest Control come out about 3 weeks ago and do some work for us. They treated the entire perimeter of the house for termites and they did some interior work for carpenter ants.

+ -1 moreWe were in the process of closing on our new home when, at the closing table, we discovered that someone forgot to tell us that we needed proof of treatment for the carpenter ants the inspector had uncovered. We needed to get that accomplished ASAP. I called Steve at Northwoods and he went out of his way to make sure we had the treatment and had it on the same day as our closing so everyone was covered and happy.
Description of Work: Exterior treatment for carpenter ants, general inspection of site with recommendations for future work and estimate for termite abatement.
