They called ahead and arrived at the time they estimated. I was actually scheduled for the following day but they were in my area and called to see if today would work,( we are a little farther out). After arrival they went right to work and had the part that was needed in the van. No one tried to sell me a replacement for my 25 year old unit or anything else. Any questions I had were answered.

They actually did not quote me a price. They just came out to try and figure out what my issues were and tell me what kind of work needed done. I was to call back if I wanted to get an estimate. They do furnace cleaning and minor work. He said I needed some duct work repairs. They were very professional. They took a lot of time and explained everything. They walked through and showed me what they were looking at, what was wrong and what needed fixed which I really liked. They did do some cleaning which was fine but they didn't do any major work.

When our pipes first froze, it was too cold for the water to leak so we were able to mitigate the damage. However, one afternoon, I came home and there was water running down the door frame in the basement, which was accompanied by steam. I called Kohl's and they told me to turn off my heating. That night they came by with a number of space heaters to help us get through the weekend. On Monday, Mr. Kohl came out and said that he would have to investigate the problem before he could give us an estimate. The crew were there the next day and began the tedious process of figuring out how our heating pipes ran. Our house is old and has a number of issues. All in all, I'd say it took about a week to get everything sorted out. There were 14 leaks which needed to be repaired and all the associated pipe needed to be properly insulated. The guys are very knowledgeable and professional. We are lucky this repair is covered by insurance, which limits the work strictly to repairs. They oulalso told us what else should be done to prevent this sort of event from occurring again and when we repair the damage, we will be addressing those issues as well. We would most certainly use there services again and in fact, have already asked about another project.

I came home on Christmas Eve to a freezing home. I called Kohl's at 10pm and they were here by 11pm and had me working by 12:30pm. I was very impressed with their level of service, I can't stress that enough. Unfortunately it was only a temporary fix and we had to replace the furnace a week later. They swapped out the furnace in one day and were very professional the entire time they were in my home. The installers supervisor even came back the second day to reorganize the vents because he didn't like the way they looked when he inspected the job. I got the impression that he treated this job like it was being done in his home. Truly a top notch company. I will be calling them again when I have to replace my A/C.

Our furnace had stopped working during a cold Saturday morning in December. Mr. Kohl was very responsive and agreed to come home and check our furnace in the afternoon. After looking at the furnace for 15 minutes, he was able to diagnose the issue, the electric igniter had to be replaced, which he did quickly. Also, Mr. Kohl recommended that the furnace was replaced because it was rusted in several locations. We knew it had to be replaced soon because it was 20 years old. Mr. Kohl was professional and we felt comfortable with his recommendations because it was clear to us that he was very knowledgeable and experienced. We were also interested in working with a local business like his company, which has excellent reviews.

Mr. Kohl had recommended that our furnace was replaced in a previous visit. We knew it had to be replaced soon because it was 20 years old, and it was rusted in several locations. Mr. Kohl was professional and we felt comfortable with his recommendations because it was clear to us that he was very knowledgeable and experienced. We were also interested in working with a local business like his company. We proceeded to replace the furnace with a Trane high efficiency furnace as Mr. Kohl recommended. Consumer Reports reports that Trane is one of the brands that required less repairs compared to its peers. Kohl replaced the furnace within 1 week of requesting it, they worked all day and rearranged some of the old duct work to make sure the furnace worked fine. The furnace has been installed for 3 weeks and has worked fine. We have not had any issue and have noticed a significant improvement in the performance of the heating system. The house will heat up very quickly now. Well worth it.

From start to finish handled very professionally and all services performed on time. Team was friendly and "knew what they were doing", showed up on time and cleaned up thoroughly when job was complete.

Complete confidence in the expertise of the service person. He described issue clearly, pointed out how a previous repair by another vendor had been done incorrectly. Ordered the correct parts and installed. Wish I had utilized Kohl's 2 years ago. Wouldn't have ad to pay for the same repair twice.

Mr kohl came to my home, carefully looked over the old unit and told me what he would have to do to put in a new trane unit that would qualify for energy efficiency . He pointed out what would be replaced to update a new system and make it work the best. He was the third contractor to whom I spoke and he was the most matter of fact, professional that I spoke to. His price was in the middle but he was definitely going to be installing correctly which is half the battle in this whole choice. They spent one day installing and cleaned up after themselves. I was quite pleased. No one tried to sell me extras as other. Contractors I spoke to did. It's now October 12 and I have no problem with my unit so far. They gave me a quaranty on labor through their own company which was a big bonus.

Kohl's technicial was prompt, professional and courteous. He came in, found, and resolved the issue in about an hour. I would definitely recommend them!

Kohl's was very professional from start to finish. They were very instrumental in providing ideas to improve our HVAC system in our home. They were punctual and very orderly in how they performed the installation. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They came out twice for us. Once it was actually a plumbing issue and helped us diagnose that and helped us for an hour even though it was not AC.

Mike was a consumant professional while letting his great personality show through. He explained everything in detail. He left the area better than he found it . Calls were promptly returned and he arrived when he said he would. He was also ok with my 2 dogs.....That meant a lot

I called Kevin because the air conditioning was not working and the temp outside was 87 degrees! I explained what had been happening and Kevin fit me in that same day. He arrived on time, was very professional and quickly understood the problem. I would definitely use him again in the future.

Install took longer than estimated, due to delays on their previous job. Otherwise, everything went smooth and progressed without issues.

Kevin came to our home and did a thorough inspection of our existing units, the size of the home and its expected insulation value. Of the three vendors we had in to give an estimate his was by far the most encompassing walk thru. He was professional and very knowledgeable. He in no way tried to "bad mouth" his competitors which made a good impression on both my wife and myself. Once he submit his bid we questioned him as to why his proposed HVAC units differed in specs than those of the other bids. He patiently and knowledgeably explained that larger furnaces and A/C units did not necessaily translate into warmer and cooler homes but did yield higher utility bills. Kohl's bid was extremely competitive and we went with them. We were just as pleased with the installation performed by Sean and Milo. My wife was very pleased with their demeanor , knowledge and skills. They performed excellent work in a timely manner and cleaned up their debris.A new thermostat was included in our price but when we told them that we had recently participated in a PennElec program to receive a free programmable thermostat Sean promptly talked to the office and got our bill changed to reflect NO Thermostat. The job took 2 days and was of little inconvience to our household. Would not hesitate to have Kohl's do work for us in the future.

From the start , Kohl's Contracting did a thorough analysis of my heating/air conditioning needs. A checklist was reviewed prior to install and post install. Kohl's also completed my warranty registration for me , and reviewed and presented it to me post installation. What a great way to ensure warranty registration and great service for the customer. The removal of my old units and installation of new units was done in one day. I was consulted with any questions, or suggestions Kohl's had for me. The installation was done and monitored by a members of the actual Kohl's family. There were no added or last minute charges, or gee we didn't think about this or didn't forsee this...and need to add more dollars to your installation cost. While there are many products and options to heating and air conditioning systems, part of a successful and long term cost effectiveness of this large expenditure is the quality level of the installation. The areas of installation were spotless afterward, and I have not needed any follow -up or adjustments to my new system since the installation. I highly recommended this company, if you want a furnance or air conditioner installed by a professional who knows this business and services their customers , this is the company for you.

He know the problem immediately (I had an idea what it was) and gave me an acceptable quote. Furnace was fixed within 3 hours and our technician was both professional and fast working. Great work, will use these guys for all my furnace needs!

I purchased a Whole House Humidifier from another vendor (JRB Heating & Cooling LLC) who proceeded to break my furnace and then blame everyone but themselves. They literally left me with a non-working furnace on Friday, December 7th at approximately 1:30 PM. I had to scramble to find a competent, reliable vendor who could *hopefully* troubleshoot and fix the furnace (which was working before JRB got their hands on it). Fortunately, I found Kohl's. I found Kohl's via Angie's List. I called them on 12/7 around 2 PM. They weren't sure they could fit me all weekend, let alone Friday (that day). After I explained what happened, they called me back within an hour and confirmed they could have someone at my house around 5 PM. A serviceman showed up on time, and methodically troubleshot the problem. Based on his analysis, the humidifier was hooked up incorrectly and that caused the board to fail. He called another serviceman who arrived within 30 min with a spare board. They hooked up the new board and my furnace was back working. They charged me a $350 (which JRB reimbursed me for).

Contractor was 1 of 5 I interviewed and received pricing information from. This contractor was prompt, knowledgeable and experienced in his business. I challenged him regarding the size of the heating system and indicated the other contractor said I needed a larger (and more expensive) unit. Kevin insisted I didn't and was willing to stake his reputation on this fact. I trusted his judgement. He even offered to provide me with the Manufacture Representative, who I could speak to regarding the specifications of the unit. This is something you rarely see, as contractors are usually very protective of their suppliers. Nevertheless, he was confident and his price was exceptional. The installation went without a hitch and even though i was traveling and could not be at home during the completion of the job, his son made it a point to return to see me and go over the entire project and the unit operation. The attention his son and he provided during the initial pricing and review of the site, the manner in which they scheduled the work, the completion of the job and follow up with me personally to assure me the unit was what I wanted and to make sure any questions I had were resolved, all contributed to me rating these gentlemen as high as I possibly can. I am in the Facilities services field and I deal with contractors thru my business all the time. Mr. Kohl and his son are first class.

I had 5 vendors out to bid on the work on our house. Background: We have a difficult HVAC situation in our split level home. The downstairs is served by a separate boiler system. Upstairs, however, has a significant amount of window/doors as well as 21 skylights. In addition, the duct work in this house is not large enough serving remote areas of the house - this is due to multiple home expansions over the year and a growning square footage. Vendors: As I mentioned, I had 5 vendors out to look at this house and discussed the challenges we've had in heating and cooling it. 2 of the vendors had the expertise to walk through the home, measure ducts and sq. footage, and run calculations to understand the sizing required of the system - as well as discussing the challenges with the home. 3 of the vendors just looked at the old system and priced a replacement - not taking into account the needs of the house or understanding what exact the problem was. Kevin Kohl was by far the best person we spoke to in regards to the challenges in delivering heat and cooling to our home, as well as coming up with solutions to these problems. By cutting out a significant amount of duct work in our utility area, streamlining the design and layout of air flow, invoking a multiple zone system to provide additional flow when needed, and performing detailed heat loss and supply calculations based on the home to determine the correct sizing. Kohl's bid was about 10% over the next competing bid, but in our minds, those competing bids had little understanding of the actual challenges as well as little understanding of providing solutions other than "rip and replace." Work: Kevin's crew (including family members) were always professional. Started on the day we agreed on. Arrived every morning early, cleaned up at end of day. Work was performed in just about 10 days. No surprise costs. Outcome: 12 months later, our home is far better from the work Kohl provided. Our gas bills in the winter are about 50% less than before the work was performed. I highly recommend Kohl.

Two crews came to the house on the same day. The duct work in the attic above the second floor required two new holes in the roof, putting in vents, and installing insulated duct leading up from the fan housing. I've had no problems with leakage around the roof opening in either vent. As I was writing this review (about 6 months after they performed the service) I went up into the attic and found that one of the vent pipes wasn't directly connected to the vent. I called Kohl's, and they had someone here about 3 hours later. It took the service man just a minute to fix the issue. I was very pleased with their highly responsive service. Insulation of the garage ceiling ducts took the crew longer, and accounted for about two-thirds of the cost. The old & torn existing insulation was removed and new insulation installed. Because this work is visible in the garage, the crew took care to solicit my approval of their work. When I pointed out a couple of spots where the insulation sagged a bit they quickly and cheerfully fixed it to my satisfaction. The work was competently completed; all trash & debris cleaned up & hauled away.

Ron started out on the A/C unit and he informed us that the unit was 23 years old. He told us that the unit has leakage and was out of refrigerant. He stated that he can add refrigerant but cannot guarantee how long it will last. I guess he didn't locate the leak because of the age of the unit and the cost of fixing it? I'm not sure about this as my husband talked to him and didn't ask. He stated rather than replacing the coil inside that old of A/C unit he believes he would invest in a new unit. We opted to have the refrigerant restored to the proper level and he gave us a break on the cost of the refrigerant. He then serviced our much newer gas furnace and no problems found there. He showed up as stated originally and did everything we wanted done with no problem.
