Description of Work: I hired Scott Brown to do my home inspection, and he was incredibly thorough and explained everything he found. As a result of his report, I did not buy the house he inspected. Thank goodness! Because he was so thorough and not afraid to share what he found, I hired him again to inspect another house I hoped to buy. He found some issues with this one, but they were minor (and the seller agreed to fix them) and as a result I went ahead with the purchase with complete confidence. I couldn't recommend him or Housemaster more highly.

+ -1 moreDoug Carmack was our inspector. Housemaster was able to quickly schedule a Saturday morning inspection for us. Doug was early for the appointment and did a fantastic job. We were very impressed with the report that was printed on site. We followed him around the house and he pointed out the areas that were a problem and explained in detail what was wrong. We highly recommend using this company.

+ -1 moreHVAC info incomplete & inaccurate. Got conflicting info regarding estimates of what was needed for repair versus replacement. Overlooked faucet that had been repaired twice & needed to be replaced. Responded to compliment with cash to replace it. Warranty expired because I had moved in 3+ months after inspection.

SCOTT HAS AN INVESTIGATOR'S EYE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND HELPED US TO DISCOVER MANY FACTS ABOUT THE HOUSE THAT WOULD HAVE TAKEN US MUCH LONGER TO FIGURE OUT WITHOUT HIS EXPERT SERVICES, THUS SAVING US SUBSTANTIAL MONEY AND LOTS OF HEADACHES IN THE PROCESS. IN ADDITION, YOU COULDN'T ASK FOR A NICER GUY THAN SCOTT. HE SAYS HE INSPECTS EVERY HOUSE AS IF HIS MOTHER WAS THE BUYER, AND THAT SEEMS PRETTY ACCURATE, BASED ON THE WAY HE APPROACHED OUR INSPECTION. IN ADDITION, SCOTT HAS THE GIFT OF BEING ABLE TO EXPLAIN NEARLY ANYTHING ABOUT HOW A HOUSE WORKS TO NEARLY ANY PERSON OF ANY BACKGROUND, AND HE MAKES IT EASILY UNDERSTANDABLE WITHOUT TALKING DOWN TO HIS CLIENT -- AN UNCOMMON GIFT, AND A VALUABLE ONE AT THAT. COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED WITH SCOTT AND HOUSEMASTER.
