FIRST EQUITY APPRAISAL

I needed a quick turn around appraisal for a tax assessment appeal. Kevin was extremely professional, fast, and thorough with the process, communicating the whole time and meeting my tight deadline. Would definitely use again

He was able to schedule my appointment quickly and performed his services exactly as he described. He was thorough in appraising our property, and the report he sent was detailed and showcased how knowledgeable Kevin is. I found the pricing to be reasonable and I would definitely use his services in the future.

Could not get a real value appraisal, needed for estate value and so we could get an approximate real value for a loan. He used a simple form that took maybe an hour to fill out. Nothing was noted as to the poor condition of unit or a reasonable cost for the upgrades/repairs that would be required to bring it up to market. Claimed the metal casement windows that are 70 years old and with missing glazing, leaking air. to be in fair condition. Spent less than 45 min. to sort of inspect it. I actually had to send him additional photos of areas that were in major disrepair. Claimed that he had sat down and talked to me at length about the scope of work, he never did, he was in and out, just wanted to collect his money and left. DO Not USE THIS COMPANY

Kevin Bowman was on time, but it was late in the day, and maybe why he spent very little time here. He breezed through the house, but didn't notice a couple very important details until we called his attention to them. Believe it or not, he didn't realize there was a bathroom or walk-in closet off the master bedroom! His appraisal looked professional, however.

I contacted Kevin after searching through Angie's list. His business address is within 10 miles of our home, so that was a factor. I explained that we needed an appraisal done quickly so we could put our home on the market. Since we are listing the home ourselves, we needed an accurate assessment. Kevin assured us that he could accommodate our needs in a timely fashion. We scheduled the appraisal date, which was within two days of my first contact with him. He spent a couple of hours at our home taking notes, measuring, asking questions about the house. He said that he would have the report within the week, and it would be delivered via email. This all happened as he had said. The report was thorough, includes photographs and details, and comparative properties. We were very satisfied with the work that Kevin provided for us in such a short amount of time. He delivered the appraisal within the week, as he had stated. Kevin was professional, prompt, and thorough. We would recommend him to anyone who is need of an appraisal of their home.

I contacted Kevin at First Equity to provide an appraisal on my home. I asked him how much it would cost, and since I needed to get it done quickly, he said he would have to charge more than his usual rate. Ok, that's fine. He told me it would be $375. I told him that I would get back to him because I wanted to get some prices from other appraisers. As I was explaining this to him hung up on me. It was clear that he hung up and not that there was a phone problem because he said something unintelligible before hanging up like, and quot;Ok, buddy, good luck.and quot; Most unprofessional experience I have had with any appraiser. Do not use his services.
