PAVE RITE

I called Pave Rite in the middle of April and told the secretary that I needed someone to come out and give me an estimate on repairing my driveway. Three weeks went by and I didn't hear from anyone, so I called again. Jack then called back about 2 days later and said he would be out to give me an estimate. It is now June 14, and I haven't seen or heard from him.

I called Pave Rite to get an estimate on sealing that needed to be done at a property the company I work for owns. Eventually, they called back and said they would get over to the property in a few days and call back with the estimate. They never called back. A week went by and I called again and left a message asking someone to call me back with the estimate. Another week went by and I kept calling and leaving messages, but no one returned my calls. Finally, I called and the receptionist picked up the phone and did not know that I hadrequested an estimate and said that Jack would call me back. Jack never called back. I made another phone call and left a message expressing my frustration that it has been almost a month of unanswered and unreturned phone calls about a simple estimate. Finally, Jack called back and acted as if I never asked for the estimate to begin with (he was the person I talked to when I first asked for someone to get me an estimate). I finally said that I had called him three weeks ago for this estimate and have been waiting ever since. He then proceeded to state that "sealing season" was over anyway and that they could not do anything. I understand sealing must be done before it gets too damp outside, but to pretend that I never called in and asked for the estimate and not take responsibility for a clear lack of competence is inexcusable.

I use the company because the man next door was using them. I let them put the dirt from his job onto my property to fill it in. The owner said he would get me a good price on a new asphalt drive. (Dig down and remove old asphalt in the first 20 feet and then skim coat the next 50 ft.) He was to also then grade and seed the back yard since I was letting him put the neighbors dirt there. I was away and left a check with the neighbor to give to Pave-Rite upon completion of the job. When I returned home I found rock and flakes of other debris in my "new yard". Pave-Rite never took out my old driveway asphalt in the first 20ft they just skimmed over it. I took him to court and won at the magistrate but then lost at arbitration. I did not take and attorney and the three attorney arbitration board wase not in my favor on anything. I did not know proper proceedure which did not help during the proceedings. I put the property up for sale not long after so I did not appeal to the next and last legal option. I just accepted that I did not get my money's worth. A year later I saw one of Pave-Rites employees at a local business and he threatened me. All in all a very bad experience.
