+ -1 moreI set up an early morning appt to have some minor work done. When Mike didn't show after about 2 hrs, I called and asked whether he was still coming that day. He then told me that he would be there between 2 and 3PM. He was also a no show and a no call at the afternoon time.

+ 0 moreI spoke with Mike in early October about some electrical work and he said he could get to us in a few weeks.. I called him back "in a few weeks" as he did not call me. He said he was on a ladder and would call back. As of yet, I have not heard anything. I have contacted him again via this site. With all of the A ratings I expected better customer service than this.

+ -1 moreMike was very responsive to all my calls. He came and provided me a quote for all the work that I requested to be done. The work was done efficiently. He was very professional. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work. I would definitely utilize his services again.
Description of Work: Painted the outdoor trim around front door and the outside of garage door. Also replaced the screen of the patio sliding door and installed kitchen curtain rods.

Description of Work: Mr. Melnick agreed to follow-up on an estimate to install a railing along the steps on my front porch. He was given several weeks to perform the task which was supposed to be (contractually) completed in April 2012. Mr. Melnick did not show up when he promised a date to complete the work. He put off the work until it was contractually embarrassing because the railing was part of the requirements for a house closing. Mr. Melnick promised me he would install the railing the Sunday before April 30th. He then called and told me that he 'FORGOT' that he had a family party to go to and would install the railing on April 30th. He did not. He finally installed it in the first week of May. Mr. Melnick does not care if he has promised to fulfill a work request for which he has provided an estimate. He does not follow through on small jobs, but promises otherwise. I am sure that Mr. Melnick had sufficient time to install the railing prior to the first week in May. Unless you have a major job and are given a contract with a completion date and a penalty for breach of contract, don't use Mike Melnick. Promises are empty with this contractor.

Description of Work: I found Melnick Maintanence on Angie's List for my mother in Leetsdale, PA, which is a suburb of Pittsburgh. As I live in Wayne, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, I was not the contact person for the service provided. However, my mother and her caregivers were very pleased with the services provided. However, my sister, who pays the bills thinks the final cost exceeded the estimate. And yes, they would use Melnick Maintanence again.

I'm also planning to have him re-do my bathroom and re-tile my floor. He is the only one called and I found that he does everything so now I don't have to split up the job to several companies.
Description of Work: He came and gave me an estimate; I haven’t had him back for the job yet. One of the things I want him to do is screen my back deck. The birds built a nest before we saw it and it is too late to knock it down. As soon as the birds evacuate we are planning to get them started on the screening.
