Holencik Roofing

Have used them for years. Last year, however, cost increased by 50%. Said new government safety rules caused increase.

A date was set for the job. They then called back 2 to 3 times in order to reschedule. This did not concern me because I work from home. They did do the above as noted however, 6 weeks later while taking down the Holiday lights, I noticed that water was laying in the front gutter. I called and asked that they come back and fix the problem since they were to have inspected all issues originally and must have missed this issue. Was given all kinds of excuses as to why they had to charge almost an additional $500 in order to do so. Sales person said that this must have been caused by freezing temps over time and that because of where I lived it would cost them x amount of $ to send a man out to do the job. We had a very mild winter and I doubt very much that this all occured within 6 weeks. Also, it's not my issue as to the cost they incure to correct a problem that they should have done in the first place.

They came out promptly. They could only do a small part of what I needed done. I was impressed with them but wanted one company to do all of the work.

They showed up when they said they would and did what they said they would. They did a good job.

Mr.Holencik was prompt in his response to my request for an estimate. I had to wait almost 2 weeks for the estimate, however, I had 3 other estimates & the wait time was just about the same all around. When he came to give the estimate he was very thorough and I felt he was very honest with me. We have part slate roof & part regular shingles.The job we needed done immediately was only on the slate roof area. If/when we need to fix/replace the regular shingles on our roof...he gave me an estimate of how long they are good for so we don't need to yet.....then I will give him a call right away. I was very impressed with his honesty and knowledge. We did get the slate roof valley repaired by another company that deals only in slate roofing.

I was very concerned about several leaks on the second floor of my home, which occured with the tropical storms in September. Holencik came on time to my home, explored the rooms, and stepped out on the applicable roofs. The representative asked me relevant questions to understand the issues. I had advised him that our primary concern was the front overhang, and that my fiance was willing to re-cover the flat, back roof. He let me know that I had a masonry (brick) issue in the front, not a roofing issue. He then gave me the name and number of a mason and walked me through the steps my fiance needs to take in order to adequately fix the cracks on the back roof. He did not try to find a reason to charge me for a service, but instead was very kind and advising me my best steps forward. Though I did not need any roof work done at this point, if I ever do at any point in the future, I will call Holencik.

Very happy with the service I received. I will, unquestionably, use Holencik Roofing in the future.

They were outstanding. They did everything right and their bid was exact. I haven’t had any problems since. I will be using them again in the future for gutters.

Went well and job completed as expected. The company was organized and easy to deal with. The roofer gave a fee schedule up front and was flexible in meeting up with the home inspector to complete the job. We got a verbal report from the roofer the same day the job was performed. The only thing we would have wanted to have different would have been a written report to look at during the phone call to keep everything straight, but Jesse was patient enough to permit me to ask enough questions that I got all information. Overall the company met and even exceeded our expectations with their level of detail and professionalism. We would not hesitate to hire them or recommend them to others in the future.

I spoke with Mr. Holencik the morning of June 21 advising had my neighbors permission and was ready to go forward with the project. It had been raining every other day and I was eager to get the job done. Mr. Holencik advised me it would be "highly unlikely" that he would get to it this week. I said "That's fine; can you at least call me the day before and let me know you're coming the NEXT day". Mr. Holencik assured me he would call me to advise. I left to do some errands and was shocked to come home around 3 or 4 p.m. to find a Holencik Roofing door hanger on my front door saying "Sorry we missed you"; "Work Completed". (Oh my Gosh!!!) I was extremely alarmed that a contract was on my property AND on my ROOF while I was not home. I wanted to be home to view the repair and ask questions about what kind of damage, if any, had been found. I left a message for Mr. Holencik advised him of my feelings and he got back to me with a sincere apology. Mr. Holencik has an excellent reputation in my community and on Angie's List and I am confident that the job was done correctly. I will have no problem paying his bill of $225 in full and I would not hesitate to hire him again. However, this is a lesson well learned. I will remember forever to emphatically insist to ANY contractor that my present is REQUIRED when my home is being worked on.

He was very good and on time. He was very professional and explained everything that needed to be done. He gave us a good estimate. We didn't look around because we were impressed with them and their history. We think they are giving us a good estimate for what they are going to be doing and it seems very fair. They are going to be doing the job in a couple of weeks. His proposal was very detailed. He gave us a 5 percent discount if we pay upfront. It went very well.

Unfortunately, Holencik did not do this job - through no fault of theirs. I lost my job and was concerned about maintaining the mortgage and other expenses at the time.

They originally gave me a $500 quote. A couple of months later they didn't want to honor it. They came and did another estimate, and it was $670. I agreed to that. They said it would be for the whole roof repair. They apparently ran out of slate, and he told me not to worry about paying until they were done. They gave me a second bill for $1700 in addition to the $670. They ended up finishing the job, and I paid the $670, but they are threatening to take me to court for the rest. They didn't give me any explanation for the additional costs.

The gentleman that came for the estimate was knowledgeable and informative. He did not try to sell me products I didn't need. Work was done in one day and they left no signs they were here other than new, functional, and beautiful seamless gutters.

I had blockage of downspouts as well as long lengths of horrizontal spouting that had to be checked for blockage. The matter was discussed by phone only. Was given an approximate time-frame for this work. I accepted the proposal because the quoted price was in line with previous experience. The work was done while I was not at home. Found a business card in my mailbox indicating that the service had been completed. I observed the performance of the spouts and downspouts (eight) following a torrential downpour--the problems were indeed addressed. Paid the bill which arrive about 10 days later, for the amount proposed. Very efficient.

Holenick was very responsive and did not cut any corners. We didn't really know where the problem originated, and our service man was able to solve the problem immediately and didn't soak us with a bad price. Very happy with their professionalism and responsiveness.

Holencik Roofing came out promptly to provide an estimate. They provided an estimate for what I requested to have done and at no point were they "pushing me" into signing the contract right then and there as some of their competition did. The work was completed within the time frame that they projected. The installers were VERY professional and cleaned up after themselves the two days they were on the job. I am beyond happy with the work that was done and I plan to use them in the future when I get my roof replaced. I initially checked Angie's List for this company before I called them for an estimate and they are proof that some people still do take pride in their work. Thank you.

I met with Joe and he was nice, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Joe answered all of my questions. Our appointment lasted about an hour. He described the type of work needed to fix the Aluminum Trim Capping / Fascia. Based on this discussion, he was able to give me an estimate and a date by which this project could be completed. The estimate was fair, and the date was three weeks away. Three days later, Shawn (from Holencik) came and fixed the Aluminum Trim Capping on the side of the house. He inpected the other side to make sure that the capping was nailed properly. Shawn cleaned up and hauled away all garbage. Furthermore, the actual payment (time & material) came in $100.00 lower than the estimate. My overall experience with Holencik Roofing Company was a very good, and highly recommend this company for your roofing needs.

No more leaking!!! It took two guys about four hours to complete the job, exactly as promised. No mess at all! The only negative was once we signed the contract, it took about a month until the work was actually completed. Granted we were warned in advance that it would take a bit of time. But the job was very well done. I waited two months to place this review to make really sure the leaking was gone for good. There is no doubt I will use them again when and if I need more roof work done.

They were courteous, professional, and cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. The gutters look great, and are really tough!

They were great. They really helped me out because I originally thought I needed more work than I really did. If they were unscrupulous, they could have taken that money...but they didn't. They gave me an honest estimate of what I needed done and it saved me money. Scheduling was delayed because it took them a week to get back to me and then they had a guy out for surgery. However, once they were caught up with their jobs and their guy came back, they got me scheduled up right away. Even better, they were done in 1 day! Great guys and a great job. So far, no leaks!
