 + -1 moreI called and left a message on the 14th. The answering machine said that someone would call me back within 24 hours. A man called me back 2 days later and asked what I needed done. He said he pass it on to the owner who will call me back next week when he gets back. Its now a week later and I haven't heard rom them. I'm running out of time to get this roof cert. for my insurance company.

Description of Work: Had used them for gutter cleaning for years. Then, in 2011, the cost for the same gutter cleaning almost doubled from the previous year. Went to another roofing company and they cleaned and repaired the gutters for HALF the price of Holencik. They are punctual and do good work, however, not worth TWICE the price.

 + -1 moreThe whole process was very clean and simple. The weather including Sandy was the only problem. Snow canceled one scheduled visit. Will use them again.
Description of Work: Gutter cleaned and sealed where needed. One gutter hanger replaced. All trash was hauled away. The whole job was done by two men ia about an hour on the townhouse.

 + -1 moreI called and had no trouble getting someone to come out in a short length of time. Though I was not home at the time, the roofer called be before he started the work and explained what all it included. He explained that if he found any problems he would call me back to see if I wanted them to do any additional work. As it turned out everything was okay and they cleaned and inspected the gutters with no problems. the roofer called me back to tell me he was finished and everything was fine. This was a great price and good workmanship.

 + -1 moreThe owner is responsive and professional. The workmen are courteous and punctual but not thorough. After Holencik's crew left, by chance, someone pointed out to me that there was a 18 foot span of my gutters that was supported by just ONE hanger on the second floor. How could Holencik have missed that? That's a biggie. I phoned Holencik and he sent a second crew to correct things. I told them since the first group had missed such a big flaw, they should redo the inspection to see if anything else was missed. When they told me they were finished, I asked to see what was done. Together, we went around the exterior.They corrected the original error I had phoned about. But I noticed multiple missing hangers on the side and back gutters. They went to the store for more, ran out of those and handtied several other missing ones. Since hangars are so critical and part of the coupon inspection, I cannot image how pros could overlook multiple missing hangars on two occasions.
Description of Work: I signed up for the $89 gutter coupon. It included gutter cleaning, correcting pitching, caulking seams and replacing missing hangers... a $230 value.

 + 0 moreA friend recommended Holencik and then I found them on Angie's list. Jessie came out to our house and looked at the roof. He brought pictures of the materials and sat down with us to talk about the roof. There was no high pressure sales pitch just a good deal of information and a good price. Jessie answered all of our questions and did a nice job of explaining everything. We thought about it for a day or so and decided to have the roof done and the skylights replaced the next month. The price was very good and you get a discount for paying on time which is a nice bonus. We picked a date and they arrived on time and did a fabulous job. Wonderful clean up as well.
Description of Work: They replaced our roof and two 25 year old skylights. The roof and skylights look great. They finished the job quickly and it seemed well done. Just to be sure, we waited to review until after the first good rain. We noticed that there were some leaking issues with the largest skylight (to be honest, they said up front that while they were installing it they noticed some weird things about the way the old one was installed). The company responded quickly and worked to resolve the problem and did not try to brush us off, they wanted to make things right. They came out twice and ended up re-flashing the skylight. This seems to have corrected the issue. I highly recommend this company. They were very responsive and professional. I do love the little sparrow they leave as a calling card and have had other people comment on it as well. With any contractor (Holencik included), I recommend taking some time off to be around and review progress of their work but these guys are above the bar.

 + -1 moreI was very happy with the work done by Holencik Roofing. A representative from the company was very responsive to my request to have my gutters cleaned. They scheduled an appointment that was exactly the date I wanted; showed up on time; and did an excellent job. I have had my gutters cleaned for over 20 years and Holencik Roofing was the most professional. I particularly like the fact that they did not leave a mess. They cleaned the gutters and took all the stuff from the gutters away. And the price I paid was about 1/3 of what I paid in the past. I strongly recommend this company to anyone need gutter cleaning.

Shawn at Holencik Roofing stayed in touch, and sent hard-working men at the earliest possible time. Both were absolutely wonderful ... kind, efficient, thorough, and cheerful. I came home to find a fairly detailed list of the services rendered (inspection, cleaning, and tightening of gutters)as well as a few recommendations for future repairs. From a layman's perspective, the work was done at a high level of quality and no unexpected charges were incurred.

They were prompt and courteous and I also had them come back to patch a leak we discovered after the hurricane.  + 0 moreafter a brief discussion on gutter cleaning procedures, the group was professional, thorough in completing the work needed and cleaned up as appropriate and expected. they were also willing to replace some of the gutter guards i had on hand/extra at no cost to do the job right. they actually asked if i had any pieces or wanted to buy some while they were working on one part of the house noting there were some missing or damaged. that left a good impression as to the quality of professional and job completed.
Description of Work: the professionals were willing to share how they will prepare and complete the gutter cleaning job, they offered to review my roof with me noting it was 16 years old yet were honest, fair and not pushy to expect the roof as a job which is wasn't yet i know more what to look forward in expectation for replacing a roof and when. i would highly recommend the company again.

 + 0 moreWe were pleased with the expertise and quality of work. For the second job, there was some confusion with office on scheduling the work and needed to call them back to clarify. They charged what was advertised, and didnt try to jack up price or "make" more work for themselves.
Description of Work: Gutter cleaning of 2 story home--one of the big deal specials for $89. Following the cleaning, we asked them about leaky spot in porch roof. They identified the problem from what they observed when they did the gutter cleaning. We asked cost to repair, and they gave us estimate of $225. Since they did the gutters, they gave us discount of 10% on that price since we were now a previous customer. They returned a couple weeks later and repaired the problem area plus another spot they noticed damage when they did the gutters.

Example I had to enter a FALSE date just to finish the survey - I WILL NOT DO IT AGIN EVEN IF IT MEANS NOT FILLING OUT A SERVEY!! Secondly I've responded several times to your inquiries regarding this vendor. This has been a huge waste of time & the last time I'll so engage."

 + 0 moreHOLENCIK ROOFING called my to schedule an appointment. We are on the very fringe of their service, so I expected a hassle, but was pleasantly surprised at how they tried to accommodate my schedule. They showed up at the appointed time and quickly got to work. I have gutter guards on my gutters, and again was wondering it there was an extra charge to remove and replace them...but once again was pleasantly surprised that there wasn't. One of the crew took a large push broom and completely swept the debris and dead branches off my roof. It had a lot of it since it was just a few weeks after hurricane Sandy. When they were finished they rang the door bell and thanked me for doing business with them. From start to finish this was a good experience and will definitely use them in the future. - Thanks Angi - Joe Malham

 + 1 moreI bought my first Angie's Big Deal after my neighbor complained that "my" rain was coming down on "his" side. To be honest, for $89 I didn't expect much. The company was very responsive, calling to confirm and then to reschedule an appointment. The morning of my appointment was dark and rainy and I fully expected them to cancel, but they actually showed up early. Turned out a big section of gutter that I couldn't see was dangling and about to completely fall off, and they fixed it up for me no problem and without any extra charge. I couldn't be happier with their service.

Description of Work: The original Big Deal was for gutter cleaning and tune up. They completed that work, then showed me pictures of deteriorated vent collars and a few broken shingles. On that initial visit they also repaired and re-attached a broken downspout at no additional cost. They came back and replace the vent collars and broken shingles at a charge that was below the original quote. They also re-cleaned the gutters at no additional charge. Good guys.

 + -1 moreMy roof and gutters were replaced within the past year by a different roofing company but when I saw the $89.00 gutter deal that Holencik Roofing was offering through Angie's List, I signed up. My concern was to have the roof and gutters checked to see if all was well following the storm and to have the gutters cleaned. The personnel were professional more than competent and caring. After inspecting the roof they found that no repairs were needed. They cleaned my roof and gutters and even cleared leaves from my porch and patio. If I need a roofer in the future, Holencik will be the first company I call.
