Joe and his team were such a pleasure to work with from day one. They are just a great group of people. Joe was prompt to respond to my many questions and very specific in what the plan would be. When we asked mid-job to make an adjustment on the placement of the wall Joe and his crew were very obliging. They were respectful and always thoughtful in regards to our family life and making things convenient and safe for the kids. Overall the project took about 4 weeks. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. It's like a whole new house! Joe and his team definitely take pride in their work. I've been telling anyone who will listen just how great they were!

Joe was the consummate professional from start to finish. He and his very competent team finished the remodeling work over a period of several weeks with utmost attention to detail, while minimizing the disruption to the house. Since the work involved multiple contractors, Joe volunteered to coordinate with others, which significantly streamlined the scheduling process. When the work scope needed to change as a result of some unanticipated challenges, Joe provided thoughtful and cost-effective ideas to solve the problems. He and his team went above and beyond the agreed-to scope of work to ensure that the work was done right. Throughout the process, Joe was in constant communication, seeking opinion and giving feedback. Going into our first significant remodeling, we were concerned, having heard so many contractor horror stories, but it turned out to be a very welcome experience. Most importantly, the quality of work certainly even exceeded our high expectations.

I had two other quotes for the same work. Mr. Schmidt told me to contact him and he would do all that he could do to meet or beat the other quotes I received. I contacted him and advised him of the best quote and he responded "If you choose them to do the job and they do not perform to your expectations please don't complain about it because it makes all contractors look bad. If they do perform the job to your expectations hold onto their number and ask them if they want a job I would hire them. The sweet taste of a low price doesn't last near as long as the sour taste of poor quality" Sour Grapes!!! Your Handyman quotes twice as much as I got the job done for, and it came out great!

Bob Schmidt was professional and courteous at all times. The entire job lasted about 2 weeks and every day he and his crew were on time and always cleaned up when the work was completed each day. We di9d have a situation where some of the painting did not go according to plan (not his fault - we have an old house) and we agreed on a extra fee which was very reasonable. He did 2 or 4 other minor extras for which he did not charge.

I thought I did this review previously but didn't want to slight Joe because the company is good. His prices are fair at a negotiated reasonable price (we deleted basement rooms for time-frame, deleted rooms upstairs, added rooms back in deciding to complete the upstairs), his team is professional, they get the job done by the deadline they promise, they worked late and through the weekend and do a professional job. He is responsive within 24 hrs, sends professional invoices, is reachable via phone. Also, I was told by my carpet installers that they have worked simultaneously with many painters and Joe's guys were v. good, cooperative, not a problem. Also important that they service their product..they sent someone here within an hour, because a floor finisher said there were paint drippings that needed be scraped. We used water-based paint. I panicked, called Joe, Teddy came over, ended up came right up with a CLOTH, took less than an hr, some may have even been previously there..

Did a great job and has been hired for additional work

The workers did an excellent job spackling, sanding, and painting the kitchen ceiling.

The job was a bit more than Joe and I had bargained for. The demolition of the old stairs revealed a lot more concrete substructure than we had figured on. Joe and his crew did a great job of dealing with it all. The result was a beautiful new entrance to the house. I was very impressed with Joe's positive attitude and his willingness to go the extra mile. He is a consummate professional who knows his craft well. My neighbors were impressed and said they would not hesitate to hire him for a job. I plan to use him for my bathroom renovation in the spring.

He is prompt and professional. I like his work.

Pleased in all respects. I used Joe's services to help me get my home ready to sell. He was prompt with call back, setting up time for an estimate, starting the work, and finishing it. He gave me an idea for how I could brighten up the appearance of my house further by cleaning the vinyl siding and gutters with Simple Green. That was easy for me to do myself and it worked superbly. It even saved me from having to paint or replace my vinyl shutters which had faded; the cleaning with Simple Green worked sufficiently well. I will definitely use him again when I have the need.

The crew arrived on time. They were very professional. They explained what they were going to do, politely answered all my questions and were thorough when they did the jobs. They even cleaned up any mud and leaves they brought in with their shoes before they left. They got the job done in half the expected time. I have not commented on pricing since I have not been invoiced yet. I will definitely use them again.

New fixture was actually made for commercial use, but electrician from Your Handyman was able to adapt it to my drywall ceiling. Finished installation looks great.

He had trouble with replacing the drain in the sink. He run into trouble and it cost more. I wish he had more experience on sink drains.

I could not have asked for a better experience. Joe was extremely prompt in and very professional in every single communication to me. He coordinated a time that worked for my family's schedule, and Don was at my house on time. Don installed the door, which wasn't as straightforward as it sounds because the door was metal, and the job was perfect.

They were very good. I have no complaints. They did a reasonable job. Nothing really stood out, the guy was pretty personable, professional and did a good job.

Work proceeded as planned and estimated. No wasted time. Excellent quality of work.

Joe was quick to reply to my voice message that I needed a small job done. He sent his men out within the time frame he promised and they were polite, professional and thorough. We recently moved into the area and knowing that having a new home would come with some inevitable repairs and upgrades. Finding an honest, reliable and good repairman was likely going to be difficult. We fell very fortunate to have found Joe in Angies List and we plan on using him for all of our future small and large jobs. I just referred him to my son as well. It was a pleasure doing business with Joe and his team. I can recommend him without reservation.

He has done multiple projects for me at two residences. One was a list of miscellaneous projects to get my prior house ready to sell, and then installing new flooring at the new house. Everything done has been done professionally. Unlike other contractors I have used, he has stayed within budget unless something was changed at my request, usually last minute during other work, and he has always been very accommodating. When I purchased the new house, we had a short time frame for him to get the new flooring in, and he actually finished ahead of schedule. The only issue is that he tends to be booked a few weeks out, especially for big projects, so you have to make sure you plan ahead a bit. Overall, his prices are very reasonable, the work done is very well done, and I have never been left unhappy.

This was the second time he had performed work at the house. He arrived on time (even with the snow) and quickly got to work. He completed it very fast and left everything in order.

I use Your Handyman & Construction Co all the time. They did everything that they said that they were going to do. They were timely and they let me know when they were coming. The gentlemen that were here were very nice and cleaned up after themselves. They took care in the workmanship. There was happy all around. They were reliable, hones and reasonably priced; not the cheapest but not the most expensive. They just have a good work ethic. They are pleasant to deal with and they communicate back and forth. I already recommended them to friends. I plan on using them for my other bathroom.

Went just fine. I got a couple of quotes and they were all similar. I thought all of them a bit high for the job but he was competitive. He was very knowledgeable and professional which is why i went with him. I would use him again.
