Description of Work: In this particular instance, Mr. Newell cleaned and serviced our outdoor Carrier A/C unit--it was blowing warm air. He was able to come early and did extra things/gave us advice for preventing the problem from happening again. He always explains what and why he's doing what he's doing. He has serviced our A/C several times in the past, the first time as a second opinion evaluation to see if my unit really needed the $1000s of dollars worth of repair another company said we needed.

 + -1 moreAs usual, Jim was courteous, prompt, and efficient. I say "as usual," because he's been our HVAC technician for many years. Two years ago he replaced the first floor HVAC system with an ultra-high efficiency condensing furnace / HVAC unit. I have recommended Jim to our neighbors and friends and in each case where I've done that, Newell HVAC has become their HVAC service company as well - testament not to my powers of recommendation, but to Newell HVAC's excellence.
Description of Work: Newell HVAC completed installation of a high efficiency forced air furnace and A/C system to replace an existing 20 year old unit on which the outside compressor failed. Jim Newell was at our home within hours of our call to evaluate the failed unit, then suggested ways we could keep the second floor (which this unit supports) cool until a replacement unit could be ordered, delivered, and installed. Installation included removal of the old outside compressor and coils, removal of the forced-air furnace inside, plus the line-set between the two. This installation included new ductwork to fit the different profile of the new equipment, plus an AprilAire 5000 high-efficiency electrostatic air filter. This service call also included installation of a Grundfoss hot-water recirculating system to enable the farthest bathroom from the hot water tank to have instant hot water.
