Glad to Support a Local Family Owned Business. Buying Appliances post the Pandemic can be Challenging due to Supply Chain Delays - Owners Ryan & Chris were patient helpful and followed through on the Details. Our dishwasher install was more complicated due to older cabinets - when things weren't just right the owner came himself to follow up and fix the problem.

The sales person I spoke to was Chris and he was excellent. He helped me save money and he was very knowledgeable. He was honest and very thorough with finding what I needed. I would definitely use them again.

Salesperson was very helpful, explained differences between models clearly, and there was no pressure or attempt to upsell. Price was a little lower than at big box stores, and they gave me rebate information upfront. Delivery and installation two days later - delivery people were on time, courteous, and thorough. Would definitely recommend!

Dave assisted me. He was pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. He told me his company had done prior work in my community which was important because of the myriad HOA regulations to be observed. The air conditioner unit and format are old but he was able to ask detailed questions to establish the correct size and output required for the uninsulated space. Dave ordered the unit and arranged delivery and installation. All of this was accomplished by telephone. The installers arrived on time and completed the work efficiently and neatly. this is a family-owned and operated business. Their customer service and attention to detail are exemplary. Please select them for your needs. I think you will be as pleased as I am!

I went to Ray's Appliances in early August 2014 to pick out a washer and dryer. One of the sales associates assisted me immediately. I stated that I was only interested in the GE line of washers and dryers. He showed me all of the various models that were available, researched a model that I previously had to show me a similar model since it was no longer made. Associate recommended that I wait a couple of weeks before purchasing because he thought that there would be additional rebates available if I waited. I waited the 2 weeks and sure enough I received an additional $200 in rebates. I scheduled the delivery and they were able to accomodate me when I called and requested a delivery date change to the next day. Everything was delivered in the window specified. The delivery guys even went above and beyond to get the washer and dryer into my basement. They had to remove 2 doors in order to get the washer and dryer in and then put the doors back ensuring that they both worked appropriately. They then called to find out the time that the gas connect service man would be arriving. The gas connect service man was running behind schedule but called before his window was closed to alert me to the delay. After he connected the gas to the dryer he took the time to answer some questions and showed me where my gas shut off valve was. Overall great service from the store associates, to the delivery guys, and to the service men.

I visited the store to look at gas ranges and stove hoods. I told the sales person that I was having remodeling done, needed a range quickly, and subsequently would be looking at a refrigerator, washer and dryer. I looked at and got information on ranges, and said I'd be back in touch as soon as I discussed the options with my contractor. He wrote down my name and phone number. I called the store the next day. The salesperson who had helped me the previous day was not in (he hadn't given me a card, just told me his first name--and failed to mention that he wouldn't be in the next day when I called back). The person who answered the phone and took my order was less than energetic. I summarized for him my conversation with the first salesperson, told him I was ready to order a range, that I would need the installer to do the hook-up, and told him what the first person had quoted the previous day as a hook-up fee. He explained that the quote was a minimum fee, with the final charge to be determined when they did the installation. (It turned out to be about twice the initial quote.) I needed the range installed by a date certain in order to have it in before new counter tops were to be installed. I was assured at the time of my visit to the Ray's, as well as the next day on the phone, that delivery would be made within 2 days of my ordering the range. When I placed my order, I was told that someone would call to confirm delivery by that afternoon. After 2 days went by and I had heard nothing, I called the store back. I spoke to the person who had taken my order, who didn't respond to my comment that I had been waiting for delivery confirmation, put me on hold to check with the warehouse, then transferred my call to the delivery scheduler to arrange a date. Huh? I guess if I hadn't called back my delivery wouldn't have been arranged. This impressed me as an operation that doesn't need business very badly--overall a very anemic approach to customer service. I like to support local, especially family-owned, businesses. For that reason I chose not to buy from a big chain. Not a good experience with Ray's. If I were running the place, I'd expect my employees to follow-up with any customer who stated that they were interested in making future appliance purchases, not to mention following up to arrange delivery of the one they bought. I won't do business with Ray's again, and wouldn't recommend them.

They were great. Helped us out with making sure rebate forms were filled in correctly. Installation went smoothly and was included in already discounted price. Service was excellent polite and responsive. Will definitely use them again.

OVERALL IT WAS A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.

We live in row houses and the basements are very narrow and that’s usually where the washer and a dryer goes, and I called them and they were horrible. They were very nice when it was time to talk about what I was looking for and setting up the installations and for me pay the money and everything was wonderful. The day of the installation two gentlemen came out and the ones who seemed to be in charge was very curt and unfriendly. He started to argue with me and started to tell me he could not park his car, and we have three parking and I showed him where to park and he said if I get a ticket you will be responsible for it. He came in to the house looking like we were selling drugs, and I and I am a registered nurse over twenty years, and he was very nasty person. It was the right time of the month and I said you can leave and then he said that it was too narrow and that he can’t get the equipment down there. I had enough and he left and we called them and no one called to apologize or anything.

The sales people are very helpful, not at all a pressure oriented. The delivery went smoothly and the guys doing the installation were prompt & professional. The new units are just great, have options that we were very happy with and have been easy to use and very efficient. All in all, the experience has been great and we'll keep Ray's in mind the next time we need a major appliance.

I was able to stop in on my way to work. I picked out the dryer. 2 days later they installed the dryer. They are excellent to work with! We have a gas line, and they were able to install the dryer with the gas line. They also fixed our washer while they were at our home. They always show up early for appointments. I have purchased all of my new appliances from them because they are great to work with!

We worked with Rick Jaindl, who was professional, informative, and responsive. He not only helped us select the appliances that were right for us, but he facilitated the delivery of the appliances and the rebate process, working with us to get the best deal. We were surprised and pleased to find that the final costs were less than the sale prices of box stores in the area.

New front-loading washer delivery was on time, efficient. Servicemen gave instruction on using washer and also tips on "practices." Also included paperwork for rebate and explained procedure.

I am satisfied with the products. The salesperson was very responsive and helpful. He explained the functionalities of different products. They had a good collection of appliances when compared to other places. I haven't had any problems with the appliances. I would recommend them to other people.

They were very nice - not pushy but informative. Their contractor called us within 2 days and arranged to install within the week. The estimate given by Rays for the installation fee was correct. They were a pleasure to deal with. They did what they said they would do and when they said they would do it.

Mike Marine was our sales person and was extremely helpful in finding the right refrigerator for us. We had looked at several places and here we felt that we got very good service and delivery.

It's a family-owned company. They had good prices. I just don't know how they compare to other companies. I thought the price was reasonable.

RAY'S APPLIANCES WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL IN MAKING MY SELECTION. DELIVERY WAS VERY CONVENIENT, PRICES ARE VERY COMPETITIVE.
