MURTAGH BROTHERS INC

We are purchasing a home in early August (Wayne, PA). The sellers have only been in the house for 2 years and moving for job relocation. During the stucco inspection we discovered there are a number of spots that need remediation. 2 of the same spots that were uncovered 2 years ago and were supposed to be under warranty with Murtagh Brothers. They received over 70k in remediation in 2016. We received a quote from 3 companies, Murtagh being one of them. We only wanted to use Murtagh for the spots they were "supposed" to remediate. Paul Murtagh emailed me asking when we would want the work done, and other spots as well, another 22k. I advised him we only want the spots under warranty to be corrected by their company at this time and after we move in. 3 emails, calls and ZERO responses. They are legally obligated to make these corrections and do it correctly this time. We will be looking to sue them next...

THEY REMOVED OUR SIDE WALL AND INSTALLED A TWO STORY ADDITION WITH 2 BEDROOMS, A NEW KITCHEN AND A TWO CAR GARAGE. THEY WERE TIMELY AND VERY CLEAN. THE FINISHED PRODUCT IS WONDERFUL!

Murtagh is very quick to respond and very thorough. Unfortunately the price on the pool removal was twice the amount I ended up paying for the actual work by another contractor. The price for the stucco removal and re-siding of my home was approximately $70,000 more than a comparable contractor. Their prices are so much higher than other contractors that I found it wasn't worth going back and trying to negotiate. More power to them if they can win their bids in this type of economy.

They were very responsive if anything came up. A big process like this always has a few things that need to be done after completion, and they handled everything so professionally. They didn't itemize every little extra thing that came up and did a great job honoring the quoted price.
