Description of Work: We contacted him for a leaking pipe in bathroom. It appeared to be a fairly simple job until he opened up the wall and found my entire tub/shower system had to be rebuilt. His 2 hour job turned into 5 hours. He stuck by his original estimate!!! That was true professionalism!

+ -1 moreHe has been a plumber a long time and provided us some valuable insight to other existing problems. I will call him for all of our plumbing needs. He is a neighbor I can trust.
Description of Work: We woke to water dripping through the ceiling in our living room. We had a shower pipe rupture in the middle of the night. Bernard was at hour house within and hour. What started as a simple repair job turned into an all day job. He kept close to his original estimate for a 2-3 hour job. He ended up only charging us $75 more or a 7 hour job. That sounded very fair to me.

+ -1 moreThis is only the most recent job Bernie has done for me. I used him for 10 years at my previous home in Conshohocken. I hope he doesn't retire anytime soon;) He takes care of all sorts of little things that others may overlook. For example, when he replaced the sink drain line, he fitted it with male and female adapters so that the next drain line can simply be screwed in with no soldering required. He charges by the hour which is fine with me because I am always there by his side, so I can see what he's doing and/or assist. He is the only person you talk to and the only person who shows up, no "crew", no apprentices, and no hassle.
Description of Work: Installed a 24" bathroom sink. He provided a new drain line and I provided the sink and faucet. Also installed new waste and overflow drain for the tub.
