Alan Conkling Garage Door Service

They were great. I called on a Saturday morning after the door broke and was expecting to have to wait a few days. They came right out that day and looked at the door and figured out how to fix the opener. I thought I was going to have to buy a new opener, but they were able to fix it. They also fixed my other door that was not working due to broken safety eyes (I had two other companies come out to look at that door and they told me it would be really difficult). Alan Conklin Doors fixed the second door and they eyes and installed a new remote so I can now use the door. They were amazing and will call them again.

Unbelievable service. My spring broke at 1:00 pm and was replaced by 2:00 pm. Super fast response and service.

It went great. Alan is a quality contractor and an integritous businessman. His prices are very competitive if not under his competition. I can/ will and have recommended Alan to friends and endorse him to Angie's list customers.

He was able to schedule us very quickly, and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. We bought the service package and it worked out very well.

Spoke with someone in the office several times, getting prices and verifying information. They were patient and up-front about all cost. Technician, Jay, called and said he would be here within half an hour. He was on-time, professional, and friendly. He explained what he was going to do, and verified the pricing. The work was done within about an hour. No nonsense, no trying to upsell. I wish all service providers operated this way.

I was in a bit of a panic because I backed into my garage door (don't laugh) with the back hatch of my Jeep open and it knocked the garage door off the tracks. At first I thought I ruined the door because it looked a bit buckled. I didn't know if anyone would come right away so that I could close my garage door and secure my home (I could not leave my home until the door was fixed). Everything went very well and I was happy with how fast they responded and the technician was friendly and got everything back on track (no pun intended) fast.

at the time i thought it went well but i started having problems shortly after. the door was coming off the track and closing with a gap in between the wall and the door. It was very noisy and I could tell it was not operating correctly. I called conklings and they never called me back. i called again and the person i talked to said they had been out (i was unaware of this) and everything looked fine. recently a plumber had to get into my house and when he left he could not get the garage door closed. it had jumped the track again and a pin had come out. several screws were missing. i called another vendor to come out to fix the problems. they described a number of shortcuts that had been taken. they fixed many things for 275 but it is working much better now. they had not installed a bracket between the door and opener. the flash molding was not replaced. several pins were missing screws and the wheels were not correctly aligned on the track.

bought $100 for $125 Worth of Garage Door Repair service and then i contacted them to make a schedule, they told me that service call charge will be $59 extra. the specail deal is trick because it does not include any repairing service, just $125 off your repair price($100 piad). i think they need more detail their service and extra charge.

Outstanding service! I called late in the day on a Friday before the holiday weekend. Alan answered and I had an appointment the next morning. Repair charge was very reasonable.

They were right on time and very helpful! Thought the price was reasonable for the work that was done. Would definitely use them again.

I read all the other reviews on Angie's List, and agree with all of them. Alan, the owner, was quick to respond and very easy to talk with. Mike, the technician was really great and worked around my physical disabilities, very efficient and friendly. I admit I don't write these things too well, but I couldn't be happier with the experience. There was a mix up on the price relating to using Angie's List. That was mostly on my part.

Gave insight on the quality (or lack of) of my garage doors. Would use them again.

I called at 8:40pm to try to schedule an appointment when the garage door wouldn't close (sensor issue that they said was an easy fix). The gentleman on the phone spent some time walking me through the issue and was very kind and easy to talk to. He was able to help me fix the issue over the phone and didn't charge us a cent. He was more concerned with helping us and making sure we know about their company than charging us a fee to come out to fix it. We will DEFINITELY will be calling again for any future issues and are thankful to have found our one and only garage door repair company in the area!

Best service I've ever received for emergency service. Prompt, professional and polite! Came within 30 minutes and made the fix within 20 minutes!

Service was timely and affordable. Service man was professional and friendly. He called several times before the service to let me know he expected time of arrival. Service was great and exceeded my expectations.

Owner Alan was very responsive, answers the phone himself. He actually sent out one of his men, John, about an hour after we spoke on the phone. John was very capable and caring. He took care of the main issue that was keeping our garage door opener from working in less than 15 minutes. He then helped get us started installing new weatherstripping on the bottom of a 16 foot garage door. My wife and I were able to finish the job after John helped to get us part way there. I called Alan back and thanked hiom and complimented John's work. I will definitely use this company again if I need them and highly recommend them.

Excellent! Alan and his team were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They were professional and worked non stop. They responded quickly and had everything completed for us very fast. I am very pleased with Alan's service and we would definitely recommend him for anyone out there needing repair or replacement of garage doors!

I did not like them. I wanted to put a door on in emergency and I will not call them again. I messed up the door and there was a light coming and I asked them to fix he door. I told them there is light coming from the top and the guy said he cannot fix it. He made me mad and I was welling to pay extra but I didn't say anything and he said he cannot fix it. I got an alarm put on there to so I don't know it was alarm or the door. The one who did my alarm said "the door is lower then other door I have". So, I don't know who is right and who is wrong. They really made me made because I think they should have really fixed my door even if they ask me extra. He fixed one side but did not fixed the other side. I bought my other garage , it have written who manufactured it and everything but this one had to manufacturing but no paper work.I liked the lower then other one but it was making the drifts coming in.

Service technician Jay was fantastic! Prompt, professional, personable and happy to explain in detail why our door was having problems and how he was going to fix them. Very pleased with this company and Jay's work. Will definitely have back again if needed, but door has been great so far. Also, I had purchased a deal of $100 for $125 worth of work. Our bill came to less that $125, so I was given a credit towards a future service call, without expiration. Excellent!

It turns out that when they built the house, they did not install the plastic around the door properly. They were very helpful. Appointment making was very easy and fast! They will be coming out to fix it the problem when the weather gets warmer.

They did a great job. Showed up on time and were very throrough.

Excellent service from the first phone call to the arrival of the technician. Jay arrived a little later than originally told but I was kept up to date by him and Alan. Jay was very professional and went right to work. They were the best price and availability when I called in the morning and I was very happy with the completed job.

They called me 20 minutes before they were supposed to show up to tell me they were out of town. They should have told me sooner that they wouldn't make the appointment. I had the feeling when I made the appointment that they did not want to come here from the start.

Said I didn't need this coupon, said the project was not as big as the coupon covered. Tighten some screws and I paid out of pocket. They said they were going to call and square it away with us. I still got charged. But the company was great.
