Came and provided an estimate within 24 hours and scheduled the work for the following week. They were able to come 2 days early, due to schedule change for another customer. The installation went without a hitch and they even cleaned the new garage door windows before they left.

Very professional, considerate and fast service. Accommodating to my schedule. My new garage door is great but if I ever would need another, I will call this company for sure.

They did a good job. The interaction with them was very good, and the garage door works very well. I saved a hundred Dollars for use later, if the spring breaks. It has broken once before, and so I paid them an additional 55 Dollars.

Called Saturday a.m. at 9:00 am for appointment. Very pleasantly surprised to learn they could be out before noon. Technician arrived as promised and promptly completed the repairs. Very professional and courteous. We would definitely recommend and use again.

They saved themselves a service call and saved us a lot of money. We really appreciated what they did...they very easily could have made the trip and charged us for something that was easily fixed ourselves!

We contacted Mr. Conkling to do some repair work on our garage door. The remote was not working at all nor was the keypad. Mr. Conkling responded, "Well, how do you expect me to get in?". He then told us to find someone else to do the work. We had already purchased the coupon from Angie's List-$100 for $125 worth of work. Since no work was completed we would ask that you not charge our credit card or, if it has already been charged, please issue me a refund.

Contacted Conkling Garage Door Service in the afternoon. Gentleman was polite and attentive. Set me up for an appointment for the following morning. Serviceman (John) called (at the time I was told he would) before coming over as promised. He arrived, I told him what had happened the previous day (spring broke and cable got tangled in the sensor). John was super nice, told me that the springs needed to be replaced at $70 each and that he'd need about 20 minutes and I'd be good to go. He waived the $40 service fee since I found them through Angie's list. A really great experience overall. Prompt, professional, and above all really nice guys!!! Will definitely call them for any future issues.

They came out the day after I initially got in touch, fixed the sensor very quickly and the door is a lot quieter thanks to a little of their tweaking, and a tip they told me, which I followed. I'd be happy to use this business again, but hopefully my door will be functioning fine for years and years, and I don't need to use them again!

The technician was able to fix my garage door on the same day that I called! Alan charges a $40 service call fee, which is very reasonable. A faulty limit switch was easily replaced. Some other minor adjustments were made by the technician as well, and he was finished within 15 minutes. Because the only part replaced is available for less than $20 online, I would have been somewhat disappointed with the total price charged. But when I called to discuss the charges, Alan kindly accepted a $25 off Angies List coupon over the phone, bringing the total down to $115. This is a very reasonable price to pay for such great service!

I suggested they repair it but said they could not. Had to call another contractor and had new door installed. Would never use Conkling again. Why are you just doming back to me more than an year later?

The contact called within 2 days as he said. The repairman came on scheduled time. He was quick and friendly. He had the part and although our repair was under the cost of the Angie's list service paid, they gave us a credit for future use for the amount that we paid Angie's list. WE would definitely use again.

I called about our garage that had been closing roughly for a few months at around 10:30am. Someone from Alan Conkling Garage Door Service was able to stop by 1pm that same day (New Years Eve). He quickly determined the ball bearings in the pulley had gone bad. So he - * replaced the pulleys * fixed the lightbulbs in the garage * oiled the tracks on both garage doors * explained to me how to update the security code in the garage door opener * checked the battery in the garage door key pad

Great! Done in less than 30 minutes. Garage door operates as new with less noise than before. Only charges $39.95 (plus parts) for service call. Came out on Christmas Eve when called the day before!! Being on time when you him is half the battle.

My timing was good because when I called they sent the service man right over- he was in the area. He did the repair and all is well.

Called to fix my garage door openers. They came and left in 15 mins and everything works great! Got 2 new remotes. Don't buy universal remotes. They bring their own.

He arrives exactly on time and checked all parts of the doors. No further service was needed at this time.

I called this company and got a very unprofessional individual on the phone who gave me a cost to replace my garage door and said he was too busy to come out to give an estimate and I should not call him again unless I was willing to put $500 deposit down. I would not recommend anyone work with this company based on my experience. It seems they are too busy and would not provide good costumer service. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere.

Just an FYI when that happened (no one answered my emergency call) I kept going down my trusty Angie's list of providers and booked with the first person who did answer their phone. So here's a warning to everyone: don't offer 24 hour service that's not truly 24 hours. I had a great experience with the provider I did use and now see no reason to every even try this provider.

Very responsive. We had an emergency. The garage door was stuck in the down position, and the car was stuck in the garage. Alan answered our first call, and someone was at our location in only about a half hour. Knowledgeable and professional. Diagnosed and fixed the problem in only about an hour. Very reasonable cost for base service call fee and labor. Definitely keeping his firm on file for future maintenance needs of our (very old) garage door.

It went excellent. They were tremendous.

The think I look for in a company is service, and this company has it! Whent he installed the garage door system years ago, it was in the middle of a deep freeze, and they were kind, showed up within four hours, and fixed the garage door with a complete overhaul. Today was a minor fix, we had bumped the electronic eyes off the track and could not figure this one out. So we called, they answered on one ring, and in an hour, there was someone at my door. They fixed the issue, and also loved my dogs! They are always a pleasure to work with. I recommend their quality and service levels to anyone who is looking!

Unlike many other contractors, Alan Conkling actually answers the phone when you call. That was the first thing that impressed me, but not the last. He did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, at the price estimate that he gave me. How many contractors can you say that about? He also explained all the details about how to maintain the door and program the openers. Alan is also a really nice guy and takes the time to answer all the question that you have before and after the sale. I highly recommend him.

I discovered that one of the springs on my garage door was broken when the door wouldn't open. After reading lots of reviews, I called Alan Conkling Garage Door Service on Sunday afternoon and made an appointment to have someone come out on Monday morning. Jay arrived promptly, after calling to let me know he was en route, and he replaced the springs and cables with no fuss or drama. He answered some miscellaeous questions that I had and generally was a pleasure to work with. I've added their sticker to the wall of my garage, on top of the repair service stickers that were already there from work the previous owners had done, and will definitely call if again if/when I have a garage door issue.
