Mike was pleasant and friendly to work with and was fair with pricing. The surprise bonus at the completion of the job was great as well! Just ask Mike...

Description of Work: Developed plan to improve drainage in patio area. Worked with owner in determining what aspects of the project would be done by Housewright Builders and what owner would do. Installed foundation covering to allow for backfilling around house foundation, removed shrubs.

+ 4 moreMike is a very trustworthy guy who responds to questions and concerns quickly. He is able to come up with solutions for any and all problems and concerns and "make it work. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. We were pleased with the work and have gotten lots of compliments on the results.
Description of Work: We had roofing, siding, gutter, and electrical work done. We also had the balcony porch replaced. We will be having the garage doors replaced as well. Later on this winter we will get inside work done such as tiling and we will use Housewright Builders again for that work.

+ -1 moreMike was integral in the designing of the room, especially in terms of door placement. I had originally been opposed to changing door placement we had two door to the outside. Mike strongly recommended one door straight out the back. Initially I was resistant as our main door went out the side and seemed more convenient. We followed Mike's suggestion and we are quite thankful we did. It is beautiful and functional. The project proceed very well. Mike always communicated with us and explained any problems or delay. We had problem with a door or two and Mike stayed on top of it until it was just right. Also my house was not a mess during the project.
Description of Work: Mike built a four season room off of our kitchen. The space was a screened in porch originally. He installed French doors leading from kitchen to sunroom as well as double hungs all around. Ceiling was vaulted and wainscoating applied/installed. Radiant heat tile floor installed as well. Mike suggested and created beautiful detail on the trim around the windows, he thought of things we would have never thought about. Also, the mess was minimal. Mike keeps a very tidy work space and takes care to keep your home free of construction debris. One other thing, We have been friends with Mike for years, this would normally be a good way to end a friendship. But Mike was extremely professional during the entire project and I felt that at no time did he compromise our friendship. We also tried to be sure we did not take advantage of our friendship by asking or expecting things that would have been inappropriate.

Mike's attention to detail, hard work, and responsiveness made him extremely easy to work with. Our basement turned out better than we had hoped for. He worked with us every step of the way, giving us a heads up on the next big project and what to expect. His awareness of our busy schedule and ability to look forward to the next step made it easy for us to track the progress. The job was done in no time, and to the exact detail we had wanted. We are constantly getting accolades about our basement and we owe it all to Mike. I'd recommend Mike to my friends and family, and will not think twice about using him in the future. I have every confidence in him and so should you.
Description of Work: Mike and his team came in and finished our basement. They studded the walls, hung the drywall, mudded and sanded. They ran and installed the electrical and cable wiring, they installed the lighting fixtures. He removed part of a wall for a new banister that he made. He enclosed the heater and water heater. He put in our drop ceiling. He installed all of the doors. Finally he carpeted the stairs and downstairs.
