They are fine. They are great. No problem with them, if they are subcontracting I am afraid.

They sucks. They told me it would cost $10000 to to fix my air conditioner in my new home. For eight or nine years we had no air conditioning in our home. It didn't cost anywhere near that much as needed new heater and air conditioning system and the whole thing cost like $4000 to $5000 so there is the big difference and especially the time. I said I don't want to hear it go and jump in the pool because I couldn't afford air conditioning or heating repairs. I would not use them.
Description of Work: Sears Hardware & Appliance gave me an estimate, it was through a sub contractor but I had no idea.

The first guy that came out did literally nothing. The second guy that came out solved the problem with our refrigerator.

Description of Work: They did not diagnose the problem correctly on the first visit saying nothing was wrong with the washer. Offered for another $70 over the cost of the call to sell me a 1 yr contract on the machine. Knowing the machine was likely broken, I bought the contract. Called for repair two days later and the same tech showed up with a part in hand saying that it should fix my washer, which was supposedly ok when he looked at it a week before. Washer works fine now but it sure seems odd it did not get fixed until Sears sold me a service contract...

My dryer stopped working. I called the 1-800 number on the dryer door, figuring that would be the best company to use. I described what was happening (a description that allowed the technician to know exactly what needed to be fixed) and yet when they came out, which wasn't for a week, they still had to order the part. That took another several weeks, but by that time I had already paid them for 1st visit and the part, so I was stuck waiting. All in all, I was without my dryer for close to a month. Then, when it stopped working 3 1/2 months later, I called them again. But they only guarantee their work for 3 months, so they did nothing to help. Overall, the service was terrible and the workmanship was poor. I will never use them again and do not recommend them.

Delivery men were on time and courteous. Removed the old washer and dryer, navigating stairs carefully to avoid damage to the house. Installed the new washer and dryer and tested them.

NOTE: the person on the phone with whom one makes appointments had such a heavy accent Spanish I think that he was difficult to understand. Seems the contact person at the 1-800 number should have a better command of the English language. This would be a vast improvement.
Description of Work: Repaired loose connection of water line to ice maker which was not functioning. Took about 25 minutes and has worked fine since. Technician well versed and experienced neat and tidy and pleasant.

My experience with them was good. It was a contract service. Their prices are good and their service is usually good, that is why I chose them.
Description of Work: I used Sears Appliance & Hardware in December 2011. They fixed the ice maker on my refrigerator.
