i was completely impressed with how hard everyone worked on this project. it was a big job and they worked tirelessly to complete in in 1 day. basement looked almost new after they were done

I was mostly concerned with mold removal and the service sold was mostly basement waterproofing which needed to be done but the mold was sealed and not removed. Recommendation was to get a good dehumidifier for the future which we are doing.

They removed an old cracked and uneven concrete slab which had been the base for my old shed. They then poured and leveled a new level pad prior to the new shed being installed. They went above and beyond the call of duty when after removing the sideboards and stakes they provided a considerable amount of top soil around the pad. They graded it and even planted grass seed. I was very happy with their work and quite impressed by their professionalism. I would happily recommend Basement Waterproofing Specialists to anyone who asks about their services. I am a recent widow who was left with cracks in my foundation walls. I didn't have a clue as to what to do about them or whom to call. When I saw an ad for Home Advisor and contacted them, BWS called me that day. Addam Kuzman arrived to investigate my problem. He very carefully and patiently explained what he saw and how it could be fixed. The three men who came to do the work were a professional, coordinated team. They asked questions, hung plastic, brought in their equipment, and got to work. At each stage, they explained what was being done and why. I am so happy with and grateful for the job that was done. All of the people I came into contact with were very nice and easy to talk to. The lifetime guarantee goes a long way to promoting comfort and peace of mind.

They finished the job in two days and completely gutted our moldy basement, and efficiently did everything we agreed upon and then some. Remediation plus sub slab drainage channels, sump and dehydrator installation. Work and cleanup was impeccable.

I hired BWS to solve a problem with water in my crawlspace, an area of approx 1500 sq ft footprint. Their solution was to prepare the ground for drainage, install a liner over the ground, installed piecemeal with waterproof tape at the seams. Install 2 sump pumps, a dehumidifier and do mold removal. Now I find that all they accomplished was to hide a considerable amount of water under the liner far from the pumps, which now is seeping through at the seams and NOT flowing to the pumps for removal. Crawling over this area is similar to crawling over a waterbed mattress. As a result, the dehumidifier runs almost constantly. When I brought the problem to the attention of BWS , their proposal was the create a stone drainage along the perimeter at a "bargain" cost to me of an additional $6500. Having already invested almost $13000 for an ineffective solution, my confidence in this solution is very low. Now I sit with 2 underworked sump pumps, an overworked dehumidifier and a covered over pool of water. And, most importantly of all, be sure you understand the technical terms of the contract. Not knowing will affect the terms of the warranty. Pencilled in other the contract in carbon are the words "no system". Barely perceptible. Translation (theirs) you don't get the water to the pumps unless you install "a system".

They were hard working and didn't miss a day until the job was finished. They came out on Saturday and Sunday in order to finish job in a timely way. Very satisfied.

These guys are professionals!!! They knew exactly what they were doing and did it in a clean professional manner. They completed the job in one day and left the basement cleaner then when they arrived. They used our egress window to move all debris in and out of our basement. I don't write many reviews but this company deserves a five star write up. They installed a complete water proofing system in our basement. They jackhammer about 20 inches off the concrete exterior of the our basement approximately 170 linear feet, place the pipes in the trench and other drainage materials, installed two sum pumps and re-concreted the entire trench in two days. They cover and sealed all our items in our basement with plastic. They also had a portable exhaust fan running to the outside to keep dust to a minimum. I made many trips to watch their progress and never saw a sign of dust floating around. They also did an excellent cleaning up job. They even brushed and hosed our entire driveway and clean the yard of any working material where they worked. They showed up on time and all six men were very professional! I bought a home that needed the basement gutted and waterproofed. After interviewing and getting quotes from 5 different companies I chose BWS - the rep who came here was extremely knowledgeable - took the time to explain everything and showed me photos of prior jobs and references. Not the cheapest but the best value FOR SURE (a great example of you get what you pay for). As a woman they treated me with respect and did not talk down to me. They did EVERYTHING I asked and then some - very honest and trustworthy - and did a fantastic job. The workers who came hustled the entire time they were here - also friendly, respectful and explained everything they were doing during the one week they were here gutting the basement, mold treatment and installing the waterproofing system. (my furnace wouldn't start and the foreman even tried to hit the rest button for me to help me get it re-started - definitely not their problem or responsibility). There was one problem that arose but the General Manager resolved it satisfactorily within a week. I would HIGHLY recommend them - especially to women who don't want to be taken advantage of - everyone on their team was great to work with! (It's been 4 months and not a drop of water despite 3 feet of melting snow and tons of rain!)
