Did a great job. But when he says he wants to be paid upon completion of service he means the next day. When I could not pay him until a week after completion he was verbally abusive, insulting , condensing . Made me cry , I should have hung up the phone on him. Most unprof encounter I have had. During the process I questioned were the sump pumps should be placed. At the time of this call he even said - thought you were a brain docter ...not so smart are you.

AJ was very honest in evaluating my basement for problems.

Business owner A.J. was prompt in returning my call and met with me personally to discuss the problem and what would need to be done to diagnose the underlying issue. His crew removed carpeting, a 15 foot section of drywall and molding from the basement. They determined that a leak from underneath our deck area was bringing water and mud into an area beneath a crawl space for storage behind the wall. They opened the area, used hydraulic cement to seal around the area where the leak was occurring to block future entry, removed the mud and disinfected the carpet and other affected areas. A second crew came to reinstall drywall, prime, match paint and reinstall molding along the floor. When I surveyed the final work, the basement area looked like the leak had never happened, with perfectly installed drywall and matched paint, and no further issues over the ensuing month since. A.J. kept me regularly informed throughout the work process as to what was discovered and what should be done to fix it. I was very pleased with their work and would definitely use again.

Wow. AJ himself showed up yesterday to give me a quote. I bought my house in May and have pumped water out of my basement 8 times. AJ is a no nonsense guy. He gave me his bottom line price and we booked the job for the next day. His guys showed up on time and got right to it. Some companies told me this job would be 3 or 4 days, but AJ's guys got it done in 1. My basement looks great and his company offers a lifetime transferable warranty. You can't beat AJ, so don't waste your time. After a few absurd quotes, AJ was reasonably priced. There was no intolerable sales pitch. He lets his work do the talking. My wet, unusable basement is now ripe for finishing. Best decision I've ever made.

AJ is very knowledgable, can solve issues creatively, and as has been written in reviews many times before me, keeps the work area extremely neat and clean. The basement and backyard were the work was done was left in better condition then when he arrived. Our basement was continually flooding every time we had 2 inches of rain or more. I delayed writting a reveiw until the system had been tested several times, but after multiple very heavy rains including the past storm just prior to Thanksgiving, we have been very happy with the results. No more water is coming into basement. The french drain and well collect all the water and it just runs out into the woods via a gravity feed pipe. I would say AJ is fairly loud when working with his team so be ready for an earful of comments, but his work is excellent and I would not hesitate to call on him again for another job. He has been doing this work for a long time so his experience is worth every penny.

AJ came out to our house on a Friday evening and spent an hour discussing the work that would be involved with waterproofing our basement. Our house is over 50 years old and we have had a water problem since we moved in 20 years ago. He told us that he could start the job on Monday and finish it on Tuesday. That is exactly what his group accomplished. I can't say enough good things about AJ Waterproofing. They were highly professional, cleaned up all debris and put in a fantastic french drain system. AJ was responsive to any questions that we had and they handled the job fantastically. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for an honest and reliable company to get the job done right. I honestly can't imagine how they were able to accomplish the task in our basement in 2 days, but they did. He quoted us a price and it was exactly what he charged. It's so nice to find an honest person who you can put total faith in and have the job be done correctly.

The work could not have been done better. AJ gave also gave us some advice on how to better grade the outside of our house too. They did a great job keeping everything sealed off and clean due to all of the dust that was created when digging up the concrete slab in the basement. It was great having the work completed and having the peace of mind that when it rains, our finished basement will stay dry.

It was amazing! I talked to him on a Thursday and he started on Monday. The job was finished on Tuesday! He was so respectful of my house that I did not know how he got everything out of my basement without making a mess. He took out about 5 tons worth of stuff and you would never know! I am so pleased and happy that I never have to worry about my basement ever again. I had someone else doing work on the outside and they were so impressed with his work that I gave them his number so they could call him to do work on his house! He was well priced and did what he said he was going to do. Thank You for everything AJ!

I was never able to get a hold of them. I called and spoke with a woman who seemed very polite. She said that AJ was out on a job and would be calling me that evening when he returned home. After four days passed by, I called and spoke with the same woman again. She apologized and said that he had been swamped with work and would be giving me a call that evening. Two weeks later still no return call and I gave up. I honestly was very interested in AJ's work because it seems like he does a high quality job. I am not the type of person to go with the lowest bidder and in fact, the company who wound up performing the work for me was the most expensive out of all companies interviewed. All things considered, the lack of any response from this company just seems wrong. If my job was too small, then they at least should have done me the common courtesy of a return phone call explaining that. I'm sure they do great work - at least that's what it looks like from the pictures they show on their website. Contact and communication is seriously lacking though.

Had a great experience with AJ, whom was our 3rd waterproofed quote. He came in and pointed out a bigger mold issue than we knew or any of the others noticed it. He was honest with what we could expect and directed us to a separate mold specialists. We has the mold removed then had AJ's crew come in and waterproof the basement...they all did a great job and everything was wrapped up in about a week. We are new home owners and it was great to work with a honest contractor! Thank you AJ!

Excellent. Basement was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. Work is neat and clean, with minimal tear out. The reason for the "B" grade for price was that there were cheaper prices available for the same type of work.. We were, however, totally pleased with the work performed and thought the small premium we paid was well worth it.

Excellent! I met AJ when he was waterproofing a neighbor's basement. I got to see his work before I contracted with him. I was impressed by what I saw then. Once we agreed on a price, he slotted me in for the following week. A full crew showed up and began working immediately. Not only was all work completed in one day, but it's true what other reviewers have posted... they left my place cleaner than it was!! That included the basement floor, walls, windows and driveway! AJ and his guys also removed a large stack of wood from a built in shelf I had demo'd. I was beyond impressed. Great work. A contact of mine had warned me to get my basement waterproofed before moving into my new home, if at all possible, because he said the mess would be atrocious. With AJ, I never even would have known they'd been there after they were done. No mess in the rest of the house at all! They also covered my wood floor with protection, even though it will obviously be redone. They took such care. Since I did a partial job, rather than full perimeter, I say jokingly that I hope never to see AJ again! But if I do, he'll be the only one I'll call.

I wish there was a rating HIGHER than A! This was a completely wonderful experience, from beginning to end! I had a couple of "kinks" involved with getting my basement dried out: the former home owner had installed a carpeted platform in the unfunished basement that he used as a weight-lifting area. The leak developed under the platform so there was no way to inspect the damage without removing the platform. No one I originally contacted wanted to give me an estimate without first having the platform removed. I spent a week trying to find someone to do this job but was continually met with, "It's a small job. Not really worth my time." The second kink: I had poured about 100 pounds of cat litter on the basement floor to contain the water ... without realizing that I would eventually have 200 POUNDS OF WET LITTER that would need to be removed!! I read all the reviews posted here on AJ Waterproofing and decided to see if they might come out inspect the basement - even with the platform still in place. AJ showed up on July 17th and was not only totally professional, but extremely pleasant and patient. He looked over the project and said he wouldn't give me an "esitmate," - he would give me a solid price! Even without knowing what might be lurking under that platform!! The price included not only the french drain and the sump pump (installed) but the removal and disposal of that darn platform AND the cat litter! To add to all this good news, he told me he could have a crew out on Friday, July 19th! He also said they could do all the work in one day! True to his word, the 4 man crew arrived at 9:30 am, ran plastic sheeting over the carpeting upstairs, dropped plastic sheeting oer everything stored in the basement and got right to work! As if all this wasn't enough - they finished the job at 11:45am - after scrubbing up everything on the basement floor and cleaning up the patio where they had mixed the cement and laid a drain pipe. What had sstarted out as a very anxiety-inducing problem ended on an incredibly POSITIVE note. "Thank You" hardly covers it!

We called AJ because we had major flooding issues with our new basement. In order to finish the rest of our home addition, we needed a dry basement. AJ and his team not only came out almost as soon as I originally called, but also said he could get a crew on the job immediately. This was during the time we were receiving record rainfalls, so they were extremely busy as well. AJ and his team worked up a fair price and got right to work. They coordinated a work schedule around my home builder, were punctual, polite, and above all else very clean. AJ also backs his work with lifetime guarantees. I called him this past Sunday evening over a minor issue and he had it fixed for me first thing Monday morning. It was a good experience and I highly recommend him and his team to anyone having water issues.

AJ was very responsive. Completed all the work in a timely fashion. He even took the time to secure a falling wall that was not included in the job description.

The service AJ and his team provided was exceptional from start to finish. The scheduling was flexible, the team arrived as planned and finished the job within two days. The crew cleaned up and did everything they could to keep the dust and dirt from getting onto everything. I waited so long to write a review because initially I wanted atleast a full Spring, Summer, and Winter of rain and snow to go by .... and then I just forgot! But in the two years since AJ did his work, we haven't had ANY leaks, the basement is dry, odorless, no more little flying bugs coming out of the sump - it's priceless. AJ is a piece of work but a real pro at what he does.

I'm extremely pleased with AJ waterproofing. The first good sign was with my initial phone call, when a human being answered, as opposed to an answering machine! An appointment for inspection was arranged and AJ was on site the next day (Saturday). The work was scheduled to be initiated 2 days later (Monday), and the entire project took 2 working days (they were completely done Tuesday). The crew did a terrific job, well beyond my expectations as far as completeness, and the basement was left far cleaner and neater than it's been in decades. Most importantly, we had a huge amount of rain a few days after the work, and for the first time in decades, my basement is dry! I should have called them years ago! I would have absolutely no hesitation to use AJ waterproofing in the future.

iAJ came a week prior and gave me a fair estimate and had an opening the following week. He and his crew arrived in a timely fashion. They dug up the old system which was leaking water in my basement. They enlarged my previous well and installed the new French Drain, a new submersible pump and a water powered back-up unit. However, what was quite impressive was that during the process of excavating the old system my oil line was crimped and developed a pin-hole leak. AJ immediately closed the value from the oil tank. My oil repairman immediately came out and replaced the oil line and AJ absorbed this expense. In addition they installed a new window well where water had been leaking into my basement. This was all completed in one day. Overall, this was an excellent experience and my property was left cleaner than when they arrived and I highly recommend AJ and his crew.

They were very responsive in evaluating my needs and preparing a quote, work was scheduled very quickly, and completed correctly and in a professional manner.

AJ came and gave an estimate. He was the low bidder but the various estimates we received were all very close and recommended the same solution. He came when he said he would, did what he described, and, hopefully, it will cure the water that would accumulate in the basement.
