Hired this company to purchase and install an above ground pool. We wanted to do business with a local company. First they were quick to come over and do estimate. The guy who is a part owner and installer was very nice and friendly. His partner who does most of the office work is also very nice. We purchased a pool at the end of season to take sdvantage of sales. They said the pool would be here here in a few days (a Thursday) and they would probably have it installed by the weekend. He came a couple of days later and used a backhoe to prepare the yard. he said the pool should be in in a couple of days. he put all the dirt he shoveled beside our shed and said he would haul it away in a few days when he had his truck empty. i expected to hear from them in two days but we didn't hear from them until the next week when i called them on Monday. He said the pool arrived but they returned it because he wasn't there to meet the shipment and they didn't call him so he had to wait for it to come back which should be by Friday. It was beautiful weather for September so I told them I wanted it in so I could have a day or two to swim. They said it would probably be cold but I like swimming in cool water and it was still in the 80's so I was eager to get it done. Oh when we discussed price they said they would take care of getting the permit and pay the fee "as long as it wasn't like $500". So while waiting for the pool to be reshipped, the lady from the permit office called and said she received the permit application but no check. I said the pool people said they would take care of it and she proceeded to tell me all the things wrong with their plans and that we have to hire one of their outside list of inspectors to check it out after it was done. I call Linda at the office and she assured me the lady didn't know what she was talking about and they would take care of things. So we started this process on the 4th and it was supposed to be done like the 8th and now we are going into another weekend with no pool. Pool was shipped but they were finishing another job so they said they would be there soon. I explained I needed the pool done before Wednesday because the fencer was coming then. So they came on Monday and installed the pool. During this time we found out that the permit would be over $300. They said they wanted us to pay it because they didn't think it would be that much. We reminded them that they said they would pay for it. We made a deal with them because they said they could do the electric that we would pay the fee and they would do the electric for the price of parts only. Also when they put the pool in they did not attach the ladder. They also just brought the pump and filter and told us they would show us how everything worked. They came back a few days later and hooked up the electric. He kept promising me he would come back and put chemicals in the pool so i could swim and and put the ladder together so I could get in the pool but that took another week. He had taken the ladder to put together in the shop but never came back. I had paid the final balance already and only owed them for the electric parts. They finally dropped the ladder off one day and it was in the pool backwards but not attached. They never brought chemicals or showed us how the pump or the vacuum or anything else works. They also delivered pool winterization chemical kit which I told her I already ordered. They also picked up the dirt they left originally but it seemed like it was a pain for them to do this. Linda texted me and and asked for $80 for parts and the kit. I have yet to receive a receipt or an itemized bill. We covered the pool ourselves and we are going to hire another pool company to set everything else up for us. They were friendly people but I think they are too new and don't have their business really together yet. They never showed up when they said they would. And we now have to get a lot more done before opening next year. I was very disappointed in their service.
