Topside Landscaping

My comments are only related to communication and responsiveness because no work was performed. I reached out to Topside Landscaping after seeing a facebook posting for their business. Kyle came to see what we needed to be done to prepare a quote. He was on time, pleasant and professional. He followed up with a quote as promised. I had requested that the price of the mulch (materials) be quoted separate from the price of the labor to spread the mulch, I knew my husband would want to to consider if the price differential of the better mulch Kyle offered compared to what we have used in the past was worthwhile to him. I sent an email in response to the quote asking that those two charges be itemized. When I didn't get a response, I followed up and Kyle promised to send a revised quote. That's where the process fell apart. We never received the revised quote. I followed up with two additional emails and then a phone call but never received a reply. With all the recent rain, I know that many landscapers are backed up and are in catch up mode, however, that's not an excuse for not responding, especially after a quote was provided. It would be simple courtesy and good business practice to respond - even if it was to say they didn't have the bandwidth to complete the work after the quote was provided. The initial good first impression was replaced with a bad impression of a business that isn't responsive or exhibits common courtesy.
