Whether it's high-value or high-priced audio or video equipment, it can't sound or look its best without being properly installed and calibrated. That's why my business specializes in consultation, sales, installation, & calibration of high-value interior or exterior audio and video systems, including whole-house audio, and design & construction of home theaters, stereo rooms, media rooms, and spare bedroom office/listening room conversions. My work is guaranteed, and I have 39 yrs experience as an audiophile, woodworker, carpenter, and contractor. I serve all of Chester, Delaware, Berks, Montgomery Bucks, & Lancaster Counties in PA, but will travel as far as necessary for the right project. I sell, install and thoroughly calibrate the following types of equipment: 2-Channel stereos, headphone systems, music servers, DAC's, surround sound systems, turntables, room treatments, flat screen HDTV's, projectors & screens, & theater furniture. I perform audio & video calibrations using Sencore calibration equipment, and I'm HAA and ISF certified. I'm more than happy to calibrate and setup a system that you already have, or to help you choose components for the system you want. I calibrate and setup systems that range in price from $400 to $200,000, so no project is too small and (so far) no project has been too large. I sell products from Cambridge Audio, Solid Tech, Oppo, Analysis Plus, Harmonic Technology, Vincent Audio, Pangea, Music Hall, Epos, Creek, Goldring, Torus Power, and over 50 other manufacturers. I perform all of my work personally, so you'll always know who's coming to your home, and who to come to with any questions, comments, or compliments.

Steve was very responsive from the beginning of our search and he is definitely a professional in his line of work. We had a 60 inch flat screen that we wanted mounted above the fireplace. It was a difficult location due to pre-existing paneling and masonry-but Steve installed the TV flawlessly. Steve provided accurate and reasonable quotes. We went with his mounting equipment which was more cost-effective than us buying it from a retail store. He is patient, polite, thorough and we will definitely be using his services again. We highly recommend Synergy Audio and Video.
Description of Work: Steve mounted and installed three flat screens on the walls of our home.

Steve was punctual, professional and friendly. He responded to my phone call quickly (none of the others I called even returned my call). Quoted his hourly rate and what he expected to do. On site, explained everything thoroughly and without losing me in technical jargon. He was patient in the training process and welcomed follow-up calls or emails when or if I encountered any problems. One of my best experiences ever with a service person.
Description of Work: Set-up of my Sonos system which I had purchased from Crutchfield. Crutchfield customer service was unable to solve my set-up issues, so I looked for on-site help. Steve connected the software and units throughout the house, tested it, and trained me on how to use it.

I just wanted to thank Joe for the opportunity to work together. His situation is one that I run across frequently. Often in this business, what is advertised as "plug and play" can prove to be quite a bit more difficult. Years of experience (and patience) have helped me to solve these problems for my customers, but I haven't forgotten that I went through a learning curve and many hours of training to get comfortable with the various problems that can occur during a setup. Joe was a great "student", and is now very comfortable with his new networked audio system. I'm really pleased to find out that he's listening to music throughout his home after going without for several months. It's a pleasure for me to help my customers reconnect with something as incredible as their music. In my opinion, no home should be without a way to enjoy music with great quality sound. Very well - couldn't find anyone on Angie's list who did this work. Had to go online. Luckily we found a good guy. Charged me $65 dollars an hr plus the cost of 2 additional digital wires. He very methodical on going over everything and making sure he answered all the questions. Told him about Angie's List and he was happy to see your service was out there for consumers. Actually gave him our monthly magazine to review. Overall excellent service and would hire him again.
Description of Work: Had purchased a Bose 3-2-1 system and was having problems getting it to work with digital cable box and television. Steve came out inspected the system made some suggestions on how it could be set up better to provide a better surround sound. After adding 2 connections wires and adjusting the system to use the universal remote, it works great.
