We had asked for a routine annual service. They came, did it, and left, telling us they would mail the invoice. It was over $600, we had expected something in the order of 200. We were, to say the least, surprised. I talked to the owner, and he explained that once every 5+ years, you needed a much larger service. He cut back the bill a little (labor charge was a little high because there was a lot of traffic getting to our place), agreed that the young guys who came out should have given some warning. I can't give an A here (I would for past visits), but I came out satisfied that we had been treated fairly.

This is the second time I have used them, the first was several years ago for both plumbing and electric work. For this job, a written estimate was provided based on my description of the work over the phone. They showed up when we scheduled, the work was completed in a few hours. They made recommendations on placement for the lighting and worked to minimize extra drywall cutting to fish wires even though this was harder for them.

Downingtown Electric had previously run data cables throughout the house at a cost that I thought was pretty incredible, and they came back 3 years later to do this data cable relocation. I had another company, also rated on AL, that wanted to do the same job (moving it from one side of the room to another) without punching the data cables in for 3x the price that I had with Downingtown Electric. They also had to reschedule twice, and gave me appointment dates that were a couple of weeks out. In this instance, I left a message on Tuesday for service, got a call Wednesday, and they were onsite by Friday. They clipped the existing lines, rerouted it to the new wall, put the new junction box in place, punched the data cables in, and did some vacuuming around the area to wrap things up tidily. As if that wasn't enough, they also helped me relocate some of the furniture in the room to reorient stuff for the new location of the data cables. Positively fantastic, as always, and the price is unbeatable.

They came out by 10am that morning and fixed both the wire and cable immediately. I also took water in my basement because my sump pump failed so my water heater had water in it. They checked that it cleaned it and it was good as new. In July I used them for a leak in my basement that turned out to be a broken water pipe from out side into my sewer line. Same result - fast on time and dependable.

Dave arrived on time and was very mindful of my new hardwood floors - he took the time to put tarps down so mud and debris would not be tracked through my house. We immediately reviewed the scope of the project and he got right to work. Within 2 hours he had run new conduit to my deck and pond on a GFI breaker and had seperated out the the bedrooms, bathrooms and laundry onto 2 seperate 15 amp breakers. All three circuits are now within code with room to jump off of if I ever need to add an outlet. When he was done he showed me the work completed, marked my electric panel with the new breakers and ensured that I was a happy camper. While Dave and his assistant were here they also ensured that flipping breakers on and off would not inconvenice me or hurt any possible electronics. I really was impressed with how quickly and respectfully they worked - so much that I have 3 more electrical projects that I asked them to provide me pricing on.

Very well. Had another company quote me $520 to disconnect the radiator and these guys charged me $175. The best part was that I got some free advice on how to remove the radiator from my house that really would save me time. Also when snaking my drain they kept at it for a good 2 hours until I was satisfied with the work.
